Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Whatever the Weather and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is
We are showcasing Clearly Besotted this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!

Lets be honest if its cute you want you can find plenty in my craft room, I can remember when I first started cards, if you made a cute card serious card makers were horrified. Thankfully not today.

Once I got over which cute Clearly Besotted stamp to use I decided Rainy Day Play and you can see the new Mary Poppins film as influenced me since I my hippos are falling from the sky. Using Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangle for my main image mat I inked the edges to give a impression of the sky and grass.

Usually when I colour I also chose my patterned papers this time I didn't and rather than spend ages to find one to match I made my own. I cut 1cm strips of some scraps of red, blue and yellow and stuck then onto thin card, cut down so the Simon says Stamp Scallop Frame from their Frames set to fit on top.

All that was left was to add a sentiment since I wanted a Birthday one and since the Simon says Stamp I'ts no Secret is fairly new to me I used one from that set.

Do you use Instagram ?  If so please add  #ssswchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too.

These hippos are definitely cute and such fun Debby, and the colours work beautifully especially the diagonal stripes to match the colours of the umbrellas, the boots and the sweet little duck, and I love the scalloped frame. A gorgeous card. x

Making your own striped background is brilliant, and I LOVE those chubby little hippos. I can see your Mary Poppins inspiration in them! We took grandkids to see the new Mary Poppins movie. What fun!
