Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

This week the challenge is  Starry Night

We are showcasing Stampendous this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

The people at Stampendous also do the House Mouse stamps and I decided to use their Cardinal Bell. We don't get this bird here in the Uk and I decided to just to shadow the wings and leave it white.

But I made a night background with blending some blue using a Blending Brush but before I did I stamped the snowflakes from Simon says Stamp Holiday Greetings and embossed with white embossing powder.

I cut the background with Simon says Stamp Stitched Circle dies and backed with a bit of navy card. I embossed the white with the Simon says Stamp Falling Snowflakes stencil to give a bit interest in all the white.

Luckily I remember that the challenge was for Starry Night and I used a Simon says Stamp Holy Stars die with some White Glitter Card. Before I forget the sentiment is Simon says Stamp Tiny Words Christmas.

House Mouse Balloons

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas Day but its back to the new challenge this week on Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge of Anything Goes using Stampendous.

Its going to be a quick post since I've sneaked out to write this post. My stamp is Balloon Fun and I used the MFT Stitched Cloud Edges on my image to give a cloud look.

The papers are Doodlebug Dragon Tails and I paper pieced the balloons and used the patterned paper to make the sentiment using Simon says Stamp Happy Birthday die.

Stampendous

We are showcasing Stampendous Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used.

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 gift voucher to one randomly selected winner to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

My sentiment is straight by the way it's obviously my camera skills in question, I used the Tim Holtz Stamp Positioner. The stamps I used to make the sentiment were Simon says Stamp It's your Birthday also their Melody's Easter stamp set.

My sweet little House Mouse from Stampendous is called Willow Climb, what the camera doesn't pick up is that I used Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen over the buds.

Since my House Mouse is tiny I decided to use the Simon Says Stamp Wonky Frame to stop it being plain and it needed something else. What could be better than some delicate leaves that come with the Simon Says Stamp Forget me Knot flowers.

Now I just need a bit of colour and for this I used the Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow.

Decision Making.

Today is the new challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge and you may have noticed there is no challenge card from me. I've decided to step down from the team, the lovely Helen has found out I started in 2010 and I can say it was a big decision.

It's not that I've fallen out of love of my Penny Blacks, there is no way I'm parting with my PB collection, but I'm giving them a bit of break and I can't promise I will publish a Penny Black card on Saturdays.

It would be wrong not to publish a card today and its just one waiting in my drafts.

Leaves

Leaves is the new challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge and I decided to use a House Mouse image, I don't have many because they don't seem to work when I layer them but the few I do have like this one works OK.

I've used the Echo Park Fall in the Air papers and I used a sketch from Splitcoast Stamper SC608.

The leaves are Impression Obsession and the branch is from Memory Box, the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Uplifting Thoughts.

I was quite please how this card turned out, do pop over and check out the team.

I had planned to make a card yesterday but Hubby and I got caught up choosing a cruise for 2018 in the end it was down to whether they had a swimming pool I can get in and out of. I can't use ladders. At our Disabled Swimming Club the local pool take them out and replace them with proper steps and its surprising how many can manage on our own to get in and out. Thankfully the Customer Service team at P and O was able to tell us which ships had a pool with steps and we have a shortlist of three cruises. But it did mean I've a half started card on my desk that need to be finish.

HM Mouse

Yesterday and today is going to be busy but I had made my DT cards for this week. This one would have been my Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge one.
The image is a HM mouse I haven't always been successful with HM images but I think one turned out OK.
I used a Spellbinders frame for the background and I've been wanted to to use this large Simon Says Stamps birthday sentiment.
Only problem is that this card is not my normal size and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to make an envelope for it.

Summertime Blues

Summertime Blues is the challenge over on Simon Says Stamps Challenge and those of us with Stampabilities stamps have choosen to use them. Simon Says Stamps has one huge collection of House Mouse from Stampabilities and what I love is their Snoopy stamps I have a real soft spot for him so I'm building a collection of them.
Anyway back to my card, this is what I would call clean and simple! I used some papers that I've had for so long I think they're Deja Views but don't hold me to that. A bit of ribbon and some pearls to finish, the sentiment is a Simon Says Stamps.

The BIG news is that Simon Says Stamps now stocks Lily of The Valley stamps at the moment its the sets.

House-Mouse

There's a brilliant sketch from Iris to follow on Simon Says Challenge but the DT had an extra challenge, Heidi from Simon Says Stamps sent us some goodies to celebrate her birthday and to use for this challenge too. When I opened mine there was a wonderful gift box full of goodies and my first ever House Mouse stamp even though they are bunnies. I'm quite please how many of Heidi's goodies I managed to use, the stamp, ribbon, flowers, pearls, book plate and on the clear set of stamps I used the sentiment.
To follow the sketch I had to make a large card so it might show up better if you click on the picture to make larger.
