All of Us

There is a new sketch on Splitcoast Stampers today yet I’m posting a card using  sketch 819 from a couple of weeks ago, that seems to be the way I work.

I found this image in my waiting to be used pile, all coloured up and ready to be turned into a card. It’s a Penny Black stamp, I have collected quite a few over the years mostly wooden stamps and none that I can part with but seem to be rarely used now days.

A few stars cut from Simon says Stamp and MFT dies and found some black and white Doodlebug bakers twine for the corner.

Roses

A couple of weeks ago there was a sketch from CAS(e) this Sketch and it showed a sentiment going down the side. I was pretty sure I had very old stamp that did just that.

I layered the card stock to look like the sketch and hoped I could stamp the sentiment straight at least with a clear stamp you can see where you stamping.

I couldn’t just leave it and these pretty roses dies from Penny Black recently arrived in my craft room and they worked out a treat.

Crochet Update

Here I am in my Eclectic Sweater from Cassie Ward, I did fiddle with the pattern. I worked in a Wool Shop before I had my son and I couldn't bring myself to using 5mm for DK so I used 4mm but in the largest size. Yes I did do a tension square so I could roughly work out the difference. I also lengthen it, I compared the size and length to a favourite brought jumper. As long as you finish on the right row for the neck it worked out fine.

Here is my latest project while I wait for Helen Shrimpton Octagonical, its Beltane Blessing again from Helen Shrimpton.

I've also been reading loads of Fiction, I found it gives my brain a rest from overthinking although I can't read thriller or crime books I'm almost having panic attacks when bad things happen. I've read so much Women's Fiction this year that I've past my Reading Challenge of 35books on Goodreads and didn't realise till now.

Snow

This card looked better in my head then in paper. Can you tell that the aqua and white paper is made by cutting stripes of card and sticking together.

The snowflakes and trees patterned paper are probably Echo Park but my snowman is an old Stamping Up one. To make sure I don’t have to cut round stick arms I stamped him on the Kraft card as well as some white to layer him.

The large letters are the MFT alphabet set but I did layer them with plain white underneath to give a bit of depth.

Freshly Holly

Yesterday I used daisy dies, today I’m using Holly dies. Same crackle background from Simon says Stamp stamped with a white pigment ink then embossed with Wow Opaque White powder. I inked round the edges with the same colour ink as the card.

The Holly and the sentiment are Penny Black both are quite old but Holly dies are easy to get hold off. I cut the die cut to fit my page and the berries are red pearls from eBay. The sentiment I layered a couple of times to get some definition.

Daisy Duo

My card today is based on the Freshly Made sketch from a couple of weeks ago and now I have in my hands the 6inch crackle stamp from Simon says Stamp I knew what I wanted to do.

In my head the daisies are sunflowers and they are Upsy Daisy dies from MFT the leaves are Memory Box dies. The Sentiment is an old Penny Black ones no idea if they are still available.

I stamped the background with white pigment ink pad and used WOW white embossing powder. I also inked round the edges with a matching ink pad to the background card stock.

Treading Snow

Last card in my drafts but I did manage to make a couple of cards yesterday that I was pleased how they turned out just need to photo them.

This little chap is another of Mo Manning’s images, fairly simple card letting the pattern paper do the talking. Fence die MFT and snowflakes Lawn Fawn. Stitched Circle die and sentiment are Simon says Stamp and sentiment shapes are old Stamping Up punches which look like I will be attempting to wear out this Christmas.

Slimline Daisies

I made this Daisy card because I had a daisy left from another card and it was siting on the Newton Nook new die that arrived in my craft room, I also found some very old Stampin Up design papers in a 12inch pack. This meant I could cut the whole length of the die.

The Newton Nook slimline die seemed to fit better into DL size card. The sentiment is a Simon says Stamp one then using some old Stampin Up punches.

I’m going to attempt to go in my craft room today, I brought some things from Simon says Stamp first time since I left the DT and they arrived. Yes I really needed the crackle stamp and for once look forward to using it today.

Gnome Santa

It’s been a strange week did manage to go out and about a bit but my mind wouldn’t settle on card making so I decide to take some time out but I do have a few draft posts waiting to be be posted.

I had to buy some of the Gnomes from Mo Manning including this Santa one. Did struggle to merge the images I lost all my links including the one for merging on You Tube and it didn’t help that the software wasn’t playing ball so I did a restart on the Pc and luckily it worked.

Yes you may get tired seeing that sentiment die from Creative Expression but I absolutely love it. Holly by the way my very old Martha Stewart punch and some red pearls.

Trio Poinsettia

I was trying to use last weeks Splitcoast Stamper sketch and use poinsettias instead of circles until I realised how big these poinsettias from Stampin Up turned out maybe I should of used the Simon says Stamp ones.
Anyway I wasn’t going to not used the flowers, I used an embossing folder for the falling snow half and it doesn’t show up in this photo but I used an embossing board for stripes. Simon says Stamp sentiment in an old Stamping Up punch that really need matting but hey ho.

This week we should be in Spain and adding the rise in cases my anxiety has taken a battering this week making me worry over everything and everyone.

Red and White

Must have been a couple of weeks ago I saw the CAS(e) sketch but they in my Pinterest board and I use it just not at the right time.

The poinsettias are from Simon Says Stamp and I’ve rediscovered my old Stamping up punches for the sentiment.

In my spare cards I’ve no men cards so I coloured up a Dr Digital football guy and this is what I came up with.
Paper are left overs and I added some clouds, I suppose I really need a happy Birthday on it some where.

Christmas Village

I saw some cards on Pinterest And this is my attempt to case them using products I already had in my craft room. I think they were using Stamping Up or Hero Arts.

I have Elizabeth Designs for the house and the trees are Memory Box, the cards I cased didn’t have trees but I didn’t have three different rows of houses. The stamped Santa is a Stamping Up one that I didn’t realised I had.

The card opens from the trees down and I didn’t really like how the side finished so I made one that opened normally.

This one was a bit easier and I still feel it looks pretty good.

Today we meant to be flying out to Spain, both my grown up children was coming with us as part of my Birthday celebrations. I’ve no idea when we will be able to go again or feel safe to do so.

Posh Bella

My idea was to have a slimline card with the house on the right going up it but in the end it didn’t look right. So I settled for this card. The house are an old Memory Box one.

The image which I paper pierced her dress is Audrey from Stamping Bella and the papers are Kaiser ones.
I didn’t bother with the sentiment didn’t know whether to use Good Luck or Happy Birthday.

Freshly Daisies

I know it’s to late and there will be a new sketch today but this is the card I made with their sketch from last week.

I’ve used my Cracked back ground stamp, this is it’s actually size looking forward to receiving the 6 inch one from Simon says Stamp, yes I couldn’t resist. I love the effect with white embossing.

The Daisies are made with a MFT die but most companies do one and the leaves are a Poppystamps one. Sentiment is Simon say Stamp Tiny Word Birthday.

It seems strange not involved in Stamptember but there will loads of inspiration to see.

Mistletoe Gnomes

Its a early start for me tomorrow, having my hair done. So I've schedule this post for Tuesday.  Now we know I love Mo's Digital images and was on their Design Team so I've joined her Patreon and we got this cute pair for our image in August. But Oh my Goodness she has added loads of Gnomes to her shop as well as loads of new images. August as been an expensive month!

Back to this pair I've paper pierced them with Doodlebug non traditional Christmas papers not sure where I got the sketch but it makes a change from straight matting. The scallop frame was a Sunny Studio where it cut the middle and frame separately but it was a bit tricky to cut to size to fit inside the frame.

Simon says Stamp snowflake die on white glitter card with Lawn Fawn centres and a Creative Expression sentiment cut twice and layered.
