Wedding Card

Finally a card the one I couldn’t show till now that the Wedding is over. Probably my favourite Wedding image from Tiddy Inks.

Have to confess I just used my favourite Wedding embellishments like the Penny Black cluster hearts die and the last piece of lace that I can’t seem to buy now. The crochet border die from MFT that I can be snipped so it fits round the oval and lastly the LOTV stamp.

The Wedding was such a lovely day and just the boost we needed. Although I’m suffering a bit now and not just with my problems but that fall last week did slightly more damage than I thought and apparently I need to be patient because bruised ribs take time to get better. Hope it improves soon I was in the middle of making card and it’s gathering dust whilst waiting for me to finish it.

Wedding Sketch

I had to make my card in a real hurry, having to get it photo and load it to the Everybody Art challenge last night. I was also a bit lost on what to do with this weeks challenge sketch and wasn't as keen with the papers although I love the Tiddlywinks couple.

In the end I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares and Rectangles, also their Bundle of Shapes which has a stitched strip to make the long rectangle.

The Scallop Square is from MFT and Hearts are Penny Black. I've used glitter card to match in the glitter on pattern paper which are some old ones.

Now that the silicone is dry I can now glitter the bride dress which I couldn't do yesterday.

Another rush to make another challenge card today.

Wedding Card

Another card that had to wait to be posted, my daughter wanted a Wedding Card for her friend so here it is.

The paper is Stampin Up and I'm using my all time favourite die Floral Oval from Spellbinders but I do have to cut out the centre. I do this my drawing a line round the inside of the die before taking it off the card stock. Using a craft knife I cute the centre out, helped by using a glass cutting mat.

There has to be ribbon and lace on a Wedding card so I've ticked that box. The heart die is from Penny Black, I carefully snipped the hearts of a second die cut so I could layer the hearts.

The fabulous die is a Cheery Lynn one, that my niece has brought for her Wedding Cards that she very kindly let me borrow them. Last but not least the fabulous image is from Tiddly Inks and possibly my favourite Wedding image.

Tiddly wedding

Another Wedding card and this one has been bagged already by my daughter. The image is from Tiddly Inks and of course the oval is Floral Oval.

The papers are Kaisercrafts  and the hearts are Memory Box and so are the leaves I think they are Birch leaves but don't hold me to that.  The sentiment could be Stampin Up I know the oval and scallop oval are Stampin Up punches but  I cut out the smaller one.

Oh before I forget there is a little bit of Flowersoft in her hair instead of trying to cut them out I think it works well. I did it on another Wedding card using a Mo Images as well.

I'm resisting all calls for going out from the other half having a few busy weeks lately I just want one at home.

Wedding Love

Well the card has been delivered not sure the Bride and Groom had time to open it yet but I can safely post it now.
I've used the fabulous image from Tiddly Inks and I used my favourite Floral Oval for the image.
Its quite plain because once the Avery Elle Love die was added it didn't need much more.
The patterned paper is from LOTV and I added the LaLa Land corner dies to help draw your eyes to the image.
I've obviously had to schedule this post because we stayed overnight in Rye.

Curly

I'm really not sure if the sketch I found on Pinterest worked but hopefully my cute little image from Tiddy Inks hides that fact.
The papers are of course LOTV and in the sketch there was a circle which I used a doily but the flowers are MFT and so is the swirl. To finish La La Land corners.
The temperature have dropped a little today so I'm hoping to make cards today, I only made a couple this week for DT but it will be good to add some cards to my drafts for not so good days.

Walkies

I brought a couple of Tiddly Inks images to try and help Mr Mojo and looking through my old cards I used to add like a spray of flowers and leaves on my cards.
So I thought I would add some to a card using the new image, the papers are Penny Black ones. The image I brought because I didn't need to colour the dogs that much well I could because you can get a black westie but that what happen till I can colour in black!
My favourite die from MFT called Crochet Border for round my card mat and I used the Tender leaves and Fern from Memory Box not even sure they still make them now but are firm favourites in my stash.
My sentiment is an old Woodware one and it is straight, obviously the angle I took the photo is causing it, honestly I've checked.

Tiddly Wedding

One of my favourite bloggers, blogged a beautiful card using I think a Spellbinder for the main body of a card and I had this couple waiting to be made into a card and I thought yes if I could make it work.
Has you can see it did indeed and really once I added the red and the image there wasn't much I needed to do.
I simply had to have this Tiddly Inks image I absolutely love the gothic couple that became my favourite wedding image you can see the image I mean on this card but you never can have too many wedding images.
A bit of ribbon to finish and bow to finish which that flipping bow was a pain and that one is the best of the bad bunch.
I've been busy making cards whoo hoo and I almost love them all, I'm trying to get ahead with DT cards and lucky for me I have a couple ideas for them.

Winter Wedding

I know I hadn't been sleeping well so when the alarm went this morning I turned it off to have an extra five minutes, hour and half later I woke. I think under the circumstances I will allow myself that.
It does mean that my body has woken up by my head is still trying to get back to sleep and I'm not sure which drafts are for what but I do know that out of the three wedding cards one had to be rejected and its this one!
My couple has to be one of my favourite wedding images and its from Tiddly Inks, the papers are from Echo Park. The couple are inside a Stately circle from Spellbinders and one of my mats are headed with a Joy die.
The snowflakes are Simon Says Stamps and yes they've been layered twice. The sentiment is from WOJ and I've used the Stampin Up punches.

Lighthouse

You might have guessed that I actually not here in the UK but I'm due back today. So todays card is for our Spanish friend whose Birthday it was while we were out there.
I've used TiddlyInks lighthouse and the sketch from some weeks ago on Sketch Saturday but turned it before adding the Stampin Up Chevrons.
It took a few trys to get a knot that sort of resembles a reef knot.

Tiddly Maid

Well that was annoying my internet/broadband wasn't working this morning and the guys at Virgin were going to send a technician out to me but he hasn't been but the internet is back working. Just wish their 150 number was I'm now a business customer and given another number which doesn't work only wanted to let them now don't send a technician.
Oh well at least I can post my card for the Everybody Art Challenge which this week is for BLING. Thats a nice easy one tell I made my card and didn't know where put some bling on. In the end I decided to take out the centres of the flowers and add a gem, it would have been easy if the little blightys were more cooperative.
The papers are old Stampin Up ones and I cut out the centre circle which is why I didn't mat the patterned paper so it would cut out easier. My little cute image is from Tiddly Inks and I think my leaf swirl is from MFT.
I do hope you can join us this week and don't forget to check out the team.
Have you notice my signature doesn't work anymore have to settle with boring type instead.
luv
Debby

Framed

I'm pretty certain today is Tuesday its always a bit confusing after a Bank Holiday. But it does mean a new challenge on Everybody Art Challenge. This week its a sketch and I wanted to used the new Spellbinders not convinced I like it yet but the cute image is from Tiddly Inks. The papers I want to say are Pebbles but I'm not sure and I've used the curved border from Spellbinders to make my strip more interesting.
Pop over and check out the team and hope you get time to join us this week.

Hubby took me to Wisley first thing in the morning yesterday before it got busy just want I needed the Rhododendrons were beautiful and there was a craft show, lots of wood, art and silver jewellery.

Forever

I had a couple of sheets of this Kaiser papers and one sheet of it was really quite beautiful I knew it would have to used for a Wedding Card. Since I had the Gothic Wedding from Tiddly Inks I decided to buy this one too since I love the other image so much.
I actually paperpieced the wedding dress by printing it on the patterned paper twice, once for the main part of the dress and the second for the sleeve and the part round the groom.
While getting out a piece of Lace I found the roses and the I used the Fern and Bamboo dies from Memory Box. The corners are from Joy, not sure now if I should have used a sentiment or whether it would have spoiled it.

Thank you for all the good wishes about my Dad, he had a scan yesterday and we should know more today.

I couldn't help it but when I saw that it was Tag week I knew I had to use these Tiddly Inks dog  days stamps and I used the Simon Say Stamps tag die to make the tags. I drew round the die to make my red mat.
I also used the Paper Smooches Dog Icon dies for my kennel but to give it a bricked look and on my tags I used the Tim Holtz Bricked embossing folder.
The papers are Pebbles Front Porch and I added Tim Holtz Trinket pins for a bit more interest on my tags and last of all my bit of grass is from MFT.

Splitcoast sketch

Now you all know I love sketches and I'm always on the look out for one that inspires and challenges me well last week I saw this sketch on Splitcoast Stampers and I knew I wanted to use it.
Its for Sketch Challenge 476.
I used a Tiddly Ink image and the MFT crochet border for my circle, I even backed the it too because the part of the back was on show and the cutting the border to place round looks messy on the back.
The papers are either Authentique or My Minds Eye they have lost their cover I do know I brought from Simon Says Stamps.
My daisy is also MFT hopefully the leaves belong to the die too but they may belong to another flower set.
To finish I used Simon Says Stamp Happy die and sentiments stamp set. Oh the twine is Doodlebug.

I need to try and catch up with making some cards over the weekend since the following weekend I'm off for Scrapbooking weekend and I ususally need a few rest days afterwards.

Tiddly Ink House

I love this house is it not great is from Tiddly Inks I made the card using last weeks Freshly Made Sketch. Even when my finger itched to add more stuff I kept CAS then promptly forget the deadline.
It was particularly hard just to add the tags for the sentiment and step away but I did, not sure I'm keen.
The papers are from LOTV using Nitwits designs.
Hubby's Mum comes down next week so not sure if any cards will be made and I'm still finding it hard to card make not helped with the sunny garden calling me to come out of my hidey hole, so its possible I shall run out but we will wait and see.

Next time, GIVE UP

I made this card with the Sketch Saturday sketch last week but it got to the point I had to step away from the card because it just wasn't working and if I didn't love the cute image it would have found its way to the bin.
I think my problem was colouring to match the papers, I liked the idea of a star but it just didn't all gel.
I had a fabulous day out yesterday, went to The Craft Barn ignoring Tom Tom it was a much simpler way to get there. But on our detour home we listened to him, well my Sis was happy to cut the corner but I wasn't convinced it was the safest route. Luckily it took us past a very nice Pub where we had lunch and its only a hop, skip and jump away from Crafts U Love which was our destination.
Today I really must get on with some cards I'm off on my girlie holiday soon, thats right I'm leaving Hubby at home.

Verity and Christopher

Be prepared for a long post its been a busy couple of days. So here's Verity and Chris's card and I know I've used Echo Park Devoted because my daughter has seen this card and what's me to make it again for a friend and I had to work out where it is from but I don't think I can get any more in time.
The image Tiddly Inks which I think is now available has a stamp but I have it has a digi. Usual suspects like lace, ribbon and the MFT crochet border I may have to buy another its looking worn out.
The hanging hearts and the butterfly both from Memory Box. I'm so pleased I had a box to put it already that I had previously made here.
Well the day went off without a hitch and Verity has made or sourced all the decorations for her big day.

She handmade all the flowers, buttonholes, bouquets and  for all the room decorations
The weather behaved just a wee bit windy.
 Bridesmaids bouquets
The reception, every chair tied with ribbon and attached another beautiful handmade flower which were in the garlands as well.
The reason we were please the weather stayed fine was the midget, Verity's Mums car had been restored and it played a big part of the Wedding Photos after which it was whisked off  to a friends garage since it needs a new cover which is so expensive.
Then last night we had a lovely meal with some friends to celebrate Keith B's 70th Birthday.
Today I'm taking it easy but I made a silly mistake in the week with my DT card and did the wrong week so I need to sort that out today.

Just for You

I'm still on a CAS design especially with busy patterns in this case I only had one sheet of the patterned paper.
I sort of cheated with the Sketch Saturday sketch and my corners are on the small size compared with the sketch. The cute image is from Tiddly Inks and I had to hold my breath all the while I stamped the sentiment next to her with  Woodware stamps.
Of course I had to use the MFT crochet border die haven't found anything to replace it yet and the flowers are my EK success retro flower punches that I've had for ages. The corners are Whimsey and though not has nice has my Quickutz one in my opinion it works.
I think I will enter it to the Anything Goes at Papertake Weekly too.
So February is racing along and I'm in for a busy weekend Stampin Up party and Chinese New Year do on Saturday. I can't believe how quickly my scan appointment arrived only went to see the Consultant last week but I having it done on Sunday.

Sunday Sketch

I blame Pops for this image cos I often see Wryn on her cards so I brought a couple, along with this week Sunday Sketch and Stamp sketch. By the way I won last week with my LOTV bear card.
Not sure on the papers and the Memory box flowers have been used again and a lot of them and the leaf is Cheery Lynn.
Yes I've used the MFT crochet die for round the oval I don't seem to stop using it and the sentiment is LOTV since one of only a couple of sentiment sets on my dining room table.
Bit of busy day today and I've also got to get my bag ready for a crop tomorrow but there's now talk of snow tonight I'm actually hoping for rain.
