Life Inspired

Finally my Inspired Life blanket is made, I have to confess that one of the squares beaten me and the one I did make found its way in the bin.Luckily when I started I couldn't find how many to squares to each pattern I had to make so I had made four. The magazine did publish how many in fact it was staring at me the whole time.

I did changed one of the colours to yellow because I didn't like the orange and the twisted colour I change to Storm Blue. I not keen on the twisted colour so I gave them to a friend who knits for charity and she was over the moon with them.

Foxy's Present

I saw a brilliant card on Splitcoast Stamps using the SC789 and it inspired my card too, using My Favourite Things Sending Sweet Celebrations Wishes.

The papers are Reverse Confetti Winter Wonder and I used Simon say Stamp Large Tag die for the image mat. The swirling circles are another die from Simon says Stamp called Circle Loops and what look like brads are in fact cut with the Luminary Circles die and then embossed on the back then stuck.

The sentiment is again from the MFT stamp set.

Armanita

Elin one of the team for Mo's Dream Team is making Mo's Dream Team card using her unused images in alphabetical order. I think this is an excellent idea but I've decided to make each month a letter and although I will try to use images that I rarely use I'm not going to promise.

For example February would be A and I've used Amanita an image I've used but not for a while although I can't think why she is sooo cute. Of course this is the last week of A but next month I've already planned and coloured a few images for the letter B.

The sketch is Mojo Monday 532, the papers I think are Echo Park and cute the two main panels with Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and the Flickering Butterflies dies are theirs as well.

The sentiment is made up with old Stamping Up stamps and punches including the fishtail which is their tag punch unfortunately retired too.

Anything Goes

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Anything Goes
We are showcasing Impression Obession  this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
The lovely folks over at Simon says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the challenge Blog. You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!

I got the Impression Obession Darby Stamp because he reminded me of my nephew's cute dog Monty, you can see him in the photo below. I tried to colour his Darby's face with the white marking, jury still out whether it works.

The sketch is from CAS(E) sketch 359, I'm please how it turned but was tricky to photo the Simon says Stamp Message for Everyday Strips making sure they were straight in the photograph.  I used their Stitched Banners and used one of the larger ones to cut off the fishtail. What would I do without Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangles finally the Scallop Stitched border to give a bit of interest.

Opps nearly forgot the papers are Honey Bee Great Outdoors. Sorry just realise I completely messed up this schedule post.

Curvy Fairy

Sorry I was quiet over the weekend but I went to the Create It at Farnborough which possibly wasn't the best idea after going swimming. Usually I take it easy on Friday because it tires me out. Going to the show which they had problems with the venue which meant the aisle were tight and I could only look at stuff by walking. Even though I could of spent a lot more money but I settled with the few bits I got. It took all weekend to recover.

Anyway here's a card for you today, the papers are Doodlebug Hello, ribbon from my stash. The cute fairy is Stamping Bella Edna the Bumblebee but I coloured her leotard in pink to match my papers.

Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangles for the sentiment mat using the words from their Sketched Flower. The tiny butterflies are SSS too their Flickering Butterflies.

Curvy Girl love Tea

I'm not convinced I'm keen with the stripes on this card but  Stamping Bella Curvy Girl Loves Tea is now stuck on and she won't move.

The papers are Doodlebug Hello and I used the Simon says Stamp Get Well Soon die which is the same colour as the fushia flowers but the camera seems to have changed the shade.

I'm scheduling today's post because on Fridays I go to my Disabled Swimming Club first thing and depending on how tired I feel Hubby as offered to take me to the craft show at Farnborough. It could be expensive to visit. I can't find anything about a carer (he'll be pushing my wheelchair) so I will probably have to pay for him too.

Blowing kisses

Technically Mo's Warm Christmas was for the cards to the countries who have just that a warm Christmas but the snowflakes look like petals to me!

Which is why I've used her for a Birthday card. The papers are Hello from Simple Stories well at least I think it is, the front cover is gone so its rely on my memory.

I used the Simon says Stamp Stitched oval for the main image and their Tiny Words Birthday for the sentiment. Flowers are an unbranded die .

Beautiful World

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Add a Sentiment
We are showcasing Hero Arts  this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month.
Intially I brought the Hero Arts Beautiful World Stamps mainly because I love this sentiment from it but when I discovered the World Window die from them I knew I was meant to have it.

A rather busy weekend meant I could only really manage a simple card but I did managed to make two the same but different.

The blue sea is made with Blue Oxides with the smooching technique and watercolour card.  I used the water coloured card for the front remembering the right side up couldn't really have South America at the North Pole!

With some scraps I used the Simon says Stamp Large Holiday Shapes for my hearts.

This card is the same minus the Hearts and using Simon says Stamp Circle Thins.

Must have another go with the die maybe some green and beige blending for my countries.

Another Owl

I coloured this chap at the end of the year for my Christmas cards but he didn't get used so I thought it was time I did.

The little owl is My Favourite Things Warm and Feathered Hugs stamps and dies. I made the scene with Simon says Stamps Hills and Slopes and a blue bit of card then cut out with the SSS Wonky Rectangles.

The trees and sentiment was from the MFT stamp set but I used SSS Stitched Banners and their Stitched Snowflakes.

Well Storm Dennis came and the only problems is my DD car park at her flats flooded luckily she is on the first floor so any flood won't reach her flat.

Our Harry Potter

One of my recent Scrapbooking layout, isn't he cute. I wish my head had been into scrapbooking, mojo was definitely missing.

The papers are a kit I brought from The Scrap Cafe who run the crops and retreats, she has a shop which she welcomes any who wants to come to look and buy.  The kit as some stickers and some project life sheets. I cut the owl out of one the project life sheets and I drew round the Harry's scar sticker so I didn't have to use the actual sticker.  The magical word is an old die I've had a while.

I've schedule this post so I'm hoping that Storm Dennis isn't as bad as they say, my daughter lives near the river thankfully in a first floor flat but it's been known for the car park flood.

A bit of Gold

Like I have said in previous post I haven't much time to card make this week, one of the days we went to RHS Wisley to see the Greenhouse where they have a special display. I took quite a few photos, here are three of them to give you the idea what they had done.

My card is the one I made my son last year with the Simon says Stamp Large Gnome die with some foiled card which I can't remember whether they are with a card kit or a paper pack I brought.

The words are the SSS Inside Christmas Greetings with the SSS Wonky Rectangles dies. Now I need to work out which Simon says Stamp snowflakes it is. Worked it out its Maryanne.

Candy Cane Bear

Time as slipped away this week, a busy day Saturday might a few days to recover so when I did feel up to card making clean and simple was the way forward for my DT work.

I missed out on getting this little Candy Cane Bear free but I still wanted him and he makes a sweet CAS card.

Just a red and white strip to match the candy cane. The Christmas sentiement is an old LOTV stamp.

Just made a matching candy card

Patterned Paper

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Screen-Shot-2018-11-14-at-10.49.02-1-600x114.png
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Use two  or more Patterned Paper
We are showcasing Doodlebug  this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month.
I love the the 3d Sticker called Bon Voyage from Doodlebug so I had to get the paper pack to match it.

I cut the strips from three different papers with Simon says Stamps Labels dies, this way I can be sure they are straight and the same size.

Trimmed them with a bit of white so they stand out of the Kraft paper. I used the Wonky Rectangles die to give me a finish edge for my sticker. A few Picture Book Sky clouds to give a bit of interest.

Finally for a sentiement I used the Simon says Stamps CZ Design Good Luck Die.

Busy Owl

I'm thinking that maybe this card is a bit too busy for my little MFT Owl but there was a challenge for a Christmas Tag to be used. I then discovered it was a CAS challenge oops definitely didn't work for the challenge that and it was a January challenge.

So anyway I used Simon says Stamp Holiday Knit background die, their Large Tag dies. Stitched Snowflakes and the Inside Christmas Greeting for the sentiment.

GrandPa

I really must sort out the photos of my scrapbooking stored on my camera especially as this layout is the last one in my drafts. Don't worry I have at least 7 to load on my PC.

The papers are some really old Scenic Route they used to make loads of patterned paper suitable for boys. The stars are MFT dies and circles are a Lifestyle dies again they are no more.

The tiny stars are probably Simon says Stamp Holiday Shapes, when I use this die I keep the ones not used in the envelope the die comes in .

Birthday Shopping

I do wish Krista would sell her images again, some work so well for grown up cards. This is my DD Birthday card.

Again I used Simon says Stamp Hills and Slopes die, I would prefer to use it on the other side but I felt she should be walking away from it rather than to it.

The papers are Echo Park, the sentiment Simon says Stamp with the MFT die. That's pretty much it, I suppose I could of put flowers on it but I posted it in the Royal Mail which made me step away.

Valerie in Winter

Yes I know its another Christmas Card but I promise next week I'll have an everyday one. This little sweetheart image is called Valerie in Winter obviously from Mo Manning.

I think the sketch is Sketch Saturday and maybe still current will have to check later as I busy this morning.

I think the papers are Winter Wonderland from Doodlebug and the sentiment is an old stamp from LOTV.

The snowflake is from is a Simon says Stamp die called Maryann and cut out of glittercard.

I used my Flowersoft and Funflock mixture for the bobble on her hat and Glossy Accents with some glitter for the snow.

With Love

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Screen-Shot-2018-11-14-at-10.49.02-1-600x114.png
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is With Love
We are showcasing Simon says Stamp this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month.
I embossed the silhoutte stamp from Simon says Stamp You and Me Forever with clear embossing powder. I was really lucky I had an extra pot because somehow I have contaimated the old one that I was using with white.

I used a Simon says Stamp Heart dies and drew round to fussy cut a border. I stamped the Heart to Heart Background stamp with white embossing and edged the top and bottom with a black ink, loved this when I made the Tim Holtz Nordic cards.

Finally I used the words from You and Me Forever and cut them using Simon says Stamp Labels to make them smaller I used a large one.

Snarky Cat

You don't have to use mixed media to use Tim Holtz Snarky Cat Stamps, here is a simple CAS card and I absolutely love that sentiment.

I just use some inkpads and a Blending Brush to colour. I layered him slightly he's tail, head and eyes.  I did think to use a paw stamp but I knew I would go over the top.

Only got one day this week in my craft room so that will be for DT work but I am scrapbooking at a crop on Saturday.

New Home

I was asked by my son to make a New Home card and I decided to use the Lawn Fawn Build House.
The sun and clouds is another die from Lawn Fawn called Spring Showers.

I used the Simon says Stamp Wonky Rectangles to give a finishing edge and their Hills and Slopes. You can see I used the rectangles over the sun as I only wanted a corner bit, it didn't cut through all the layers but you still get a nice edge when you finish by cutting with scissors.

Finally the sentiment was from Simon says Stamp Home Sweet Home stamp set.

I'm more or less over the cold, thank you for the kind words and I feel up to spending the morning in my craftroom today since I haven't been in there all week. Does mean I'm a bit behind on my DT work so hopefully I shall get that done for next week.
