Slimline Ho Ho Ho

 I brought the Hope die from MFT because I saw a card had used the H and o to make a ho ho ho card but when I sat down to use it I couldn’t find it. So I made a slimline using either my Newton Nook or Lawn Fawn slimline dies can’t remember now whose I used. 

To stop it looking to boring I added some holly from a very old Martha Stewart punch and some red pearls.

I’m trying to keep things flat and bearing in my postage.

Snowflakes

 I brought the Lawn Fawn Snowflake background die but went back to the old favourite large Snowflake die from Simon Says Stamp for the main snowflake. I doubled layered the main centre snowflake to help it stand out. Then one smaller glitter snowflake and tiny one in a matching colour.

The sentiment is from The Greetery to finish off. Next week is November so I must check to see how many more there is to make. It may slow on the card making the next couple days, had my covid booster yesterday and woken up to a sore arm.

Skating Shoes

 The sleigh and skates are from Spellbinder but the background is a Sizzix embossing folder and the sentiment is from The Greetery. 

I really think I need to get out all my finished Christmas cards to see how many I’ve done. I make approximately 100 some get discarded because I don’t think they are good enough. 

Winter Panels

 Weeks ago there was a sketch from Freshly Made Sketch which inspired these cards although it was week later. I cut strips out of card and edged together the different colours then use an embossing fold in this case it was a Sizzix snowflakes one. 

Then I cut them to size and using a grass die cut out the sparkling icicle border. The pink cards had a stamped large snowflake from MFT and the blue one had an old Simon says Stamp snowflake die. Sentiment from The Greetery which has become this years Christmas sentiment. 

I got quite a few cards made with these strips it’s got to a point I need to count out how many I’ve done. 

Stencil Bauble

  Finally the last of my Sweet Poppy Stencil, this one a bit more tricky to do since I wanted the holly green and red for the berries.

With the use of a few post it notes I sort of managed it. The stag is a Lavinda stamp and the sentiment is The Greetery.  

If anyone sees me adding pearls to stencil snowflakes stop me! 

Snow Globe Bunnies

 Two cards one with the bunnies masked and one I’ve just stamped. I thought it would be more obvious. I do prefer myself the masked pair which is on your left if you can’t work it out.

Gone off withe pearls on the snowflakes too but can’t take them off now. The sentiment is from a Woodware one that came with an image but I reckon it’s going to be my favourite this Christmas. 

Need to get down to making more Christmas cards but I’ve a few family cards to make before I can get back to them.

Stencil Snow Globe

 I’ve had a couple of weeks away from the craft room but I’ve started to get back in the swing. Previously before my holiday I made a few Christmas cards using the metal stencils I brought from Poppy Stencils at Sandown.

It took some practice to even my blending I’m a bit heavy handed but got there in the end. They do make huge card not normal for me even 6inch square seemed large to me recently.  The stamped in the middle is a Lavinia one. Word of warning I made a few of these slightly different but still the same technique.

Spellbinder Christmas

 I treated myself to this die a few weeks back, my BIL gave us all a generous Amazon gift card at Christmas and this was one of things I managed to buy. 

I used the die first with traditional colours and my last bit of DoodleBug holly paper. I really did enjoy putting it together.

The Christmas sentiment is a Creative Expression die but I layered, you can just see that it was with white card stock obviously the angle of my camera.

While writing this post I've another idea to make a card with it but I've got a couple family birthdays to sort out first.

Purple Onion Trio

 Yep card making mojo definitely upped and left. Looking at this card now it does need a sentiment, when I made it I thought it was fine.

The trio are from Purple Onion, I do love Stacey’s critters they are so cute but fiddly to layer. Since they are singing I used a very old MFT music notes die with some glitter card along with some glitter glue for them to stand on so they are not floating mid air. The frame is MFT too.
