Baby Shower

I do feel its either Weddings or Babies with the odd boys/men cards but I coming to the end of them. Though I do have to make a boy baby card but the other two I will have to wait for them to be born.

Wedding cards are made I think and I'm now coming to the month of girl/woman birthdays then I need to start thinking of Christmas.

So my little Baby Shower is now done and I'm guess my DD and myself will be fighting over who has which one. Silly me found some a sheet of paper and I couldn't find anything to go with it I think it could MFT but a pad that is different colour plaids.

So I made a frame using a MFT scallop frame die and used some matching (yes it did match when I made the stars and hearts blame the camera again!)card to make the stars and hearts with Simon Says Stamp Holiday Shapes.

Mum to Be

I managed to make a card yesterday, go me. I may have mentioned that its all about Wedding and Babies this year and with Babies come showers. I know I have one and my DD has two. Mo's image of Mother to be is ideal for a Baby Shower card.

The papers are some old ones that I've only a few favourite left, I think they are Echo Park but don't hold me to that. The Balloons are a Penny Black dies, love that heart balloon.

My medium Retro punch had an outing its not a happy punch but I challenge it now and again to punch nicely. The centres are a Lawn Fawn Snowflake dies there's some really tiny ones which was perfect size for the punched flower.

Mother to be

Before Mo drew the gorgeous Baby Shower image I had a card in reserve, another Mo's image called Mother to Be 1. This time I paper pieced the clothes on the image which I think are Echo Park but I will pass on which ones.
The umbrellas I think are Memory Box and the scallop border is also Memory Box called Pearl lace.
The sentiment is Stampin up and isn't has wishy washy  as it looks but the camera has to misbehave somewhere.
Might have gone a bit OTT on the pearls but I did try to remove some but when they weren't coming off that cleanly I decided to leave well alone.
Well the loft didn't get sorted Hubby went out with BIL in the afternoon so I finished another Granny Square Crochet blanket much to my DD delight.
As for my sewing machine, I can sew in a reasonable straight line, liking the needle threader once I had worked out how and I can fill a bobbin etc. Now I need to have a look out for some green material I brought to make a table cloth for the garden table, of course its in a safe place!

Thank You Mo

I hoping by writing something first the pic won't appear on FB where I use networkblogs, although she doesn't visit FB often, I don't want someone to see this card but I'm so excited that I had to show.

I asked Mo Manning for a baby with a umbrella for a Baby Shower and look what she drew isn't it adorable and perfect too.
The brolly cried out to be paper pieced and using neutal colours from Pebbles I'm really pleased with my card but the rotten camera made the baby wishy washy and this was about the 6th try to photo it.
I used the sketch from Papertake Weekly well I think its just about visible. I used the Simon Says Stamp Harrington Vine which isn't unusual it always seems to pop up along with the MFT crochet border die for around the image. Favourite lace and ribbon and the Cuttlebug corners which I panicked cos I couldn't find them at first.
The perfect sentiment I found in the tiny sentiments from Stampin Up.
Bets are being made whether or not my niece is actually going to be able to attend her own Baby shower which is on Saturday, she only has just over two weeks to go and the baby's head is in engaged already.
