Paradise

Found my last scrapbook page that was waiting to be posted, haven't done any for a while now  but super excited that in a couple of weeks I'll be at crafting retreat to catch up.

I'm so thankful to one of my son's friends sending me loads of holiday photos since he is an absolute pain when I try. I really would love to have the new slim me have a photo of hubby, son and daughter altogether.

The papers are old, the sun and clouds could be Lawn Fawn die. The crab and lobster as well as the anchor are Memory Box dies. The large palm tree is an old MFT die and the punch is an old EK success one.

Today's I'm hoping to get out the kits of photo and papers, to sort out sketch and ideas of dies etc to take for the retreat. So I can be super organised!

Birthday Fishing

Look what I found in my drafts a little LOTV fishing chap which I have paper pieced. Now that you can only buy digi you have to print the image on the different papers its quite easy to do once you work it out.

There's no stitching in my scallop border so not sure what company they are, to be honest I didn't know I had any plain one. The Happy Birthday die is Simon says Stamp great for a chaps card.

Snowball

Today's card is using Mo's Digi called On a Snowball. I'm using the Splitcoast Sketch SC767 but I turned the sketch round.

The papers are last years Lawn Fawn Christmas one and I made the snowball with Glossy Accents with glitter, I do this reguarly so not sure why my snowball turned very creamy.

My snowflake are Simon says Stamp Maryann Snowflake die with some Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes for the centres.

Anything Goes

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Anything Goes
We are showcasing Crafters Companion this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the challenge Blog. You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!

The best way to cut this Crafters Companion Only Love die is to be able to turn it round so its cut from all directions. Has you can see its fabulous and you can make a pretty simple card.

I used my favourite Simon says Stamp Stitched Daisies die in sunflower colours. Then I used the Simon says Stamp Frame die, I drew round the die so when I stuck the green card frame there is a white border.

The sentiment is from the Simon says Stamp Home Sweet Home stamp set and it is straight in real life.

Freshly Snowflakes

I love the sketch on Freshly Sketch from a couple of weeks ago and used for Eucalpytus Leaves last week. I just had to use it again this time minus the band across the card. I think it worked a treat for these snowflake cards.

I used the Simon says Stamp Rina Snowflake die and their Big Bliss Snowflake, I cut them out of glitter card. The sentiment is from the new Stamptember Inside Christmas Greetings stamped and embossed with silver.

The card above I used the Simon says Stamp Wonky Rectangles, love using it, especially with simple cards.

The card below is using a rounded corner punch on two corner to give a different look. Finally some white dots using Nuvo Gloss Simply White Drops.

Eucalyptus Leaves

Typical, I forgot to post this card in time for Freshly Made Sketches #402 and I had used my brand new Stamptember Eucalyptus Leaves which I simply had to have.

I cut out a couple of the leaves so I could hide the end of the stalks and give a finished look.

The sentiment one of my favourites is Simon says Stamp Thoughtful Messages and to stop the mat look too plain I used their Wonky Rectangles. To finish some assorted sequins but I had to stop myself from added more.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Interactive
We are showcasing Lawn Fawn this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month.
I think I found another challenge not to my taste although a couple of team-mates have given me a couple of ideas and no doubt a craft spend.
Meanwhile I settle of my secret message card that I got the tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers Surprise Pop Up card.

So I finally got round to using this fabulous Lawn Fawn Mushroom House die and yes I cut out the roof twic once with red and once with white so I can pop in the white spots in the recess. Just the OCD part of me I'm afraid. You can also buy the Mushroom Border but decided I was pushing my luck to work that into the tutorial.

I also used the Lawn Fawn Spring Fling for the patterned paper. All the remained was the sentiment which I used Simon says Stamp Home Sweet Home.

Poinsettia Background

So I had to buy some goodies from the Stamptember release from Simon say Stamp and the Poinsettia Background Stamp was one I definitely wanted and it didn't take too long before it had flew across the Atlantic.

So I decided to start simply with just the background stamped and embossed in gold embossing powder.

Rather than stamp a sentiment I used this die Happy Christmas Shadow die and keeping with the red and gold.

Now I need to decide whether to triple layer the mats and add Holly using Simon says Stamp Holly Fanfare die or to do neither.

Birthday Panda

I was in two minds whether to post a cute panda card or a Christmas card, you can see the cut Panda won. I've use the sweet Panda image from Simon says Stamp Party Like a Panda I love those Happy Balloons.

I used the Splitcoast Stampers SC763 but you can see I make a mistake when I cut out the panel, didn't effect where I put my panda but can't really say I followed the sketch!

The papers are Doodlebug that came with the Simon says Stamp Card kit which is where my stamp set came originally. Seeing as the paper is busy I just used Simon says Stamp Tiny Words Birthday stamp inside a Simon says Stamp Stitched Banners

Mona

I love this cutie from Mo Digital Pencil, she is called Mona. I used the SplitcoastStamper Card Sketch SC765 for my layout.

The papers are of course Doodlebug their Spring ones from this year. The flowers are an old MFT die and the insides are Stitched Snowflakes from Simon says Stamp. The Birthday sentiment is again Simon say Stamp Tiny Words Birthday.

Just a quick post from me today had to have an early start today.

Bring on the Bling

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Screen-Shot-2018-11-14-at-10.49.02-1-600x114.png
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Bring on the bling
We are showcasing Stamping Bella this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month.
The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!

So I came back from my few days away and my first job was to make my Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge card. Thankfully Stamping Bella Stephanie Loves Ballet was still in stock and I didn't have much time so I decided to paper piece her ballet dress.

I cut her out leaving a white border but if I had decided on using the Simon says Stamp Quilted Hearts background stamp, I didn't really need too. The papers by the way are Simple Stories Hello.

Ok I know I cheated by cutting off the stems of my Cosmo Stem flower heads and then cut it out again with some Glitter Card to give my card a bit of bling. Finally I needed a sentiment originally I was going to use glitter card but it didn't stand out well enough in the white so that why I used the Simon says Stamp Happy Birthday die with the matching cardstock.

We went away the morning of the 1st September so I quickly went online to get some Stamptember goodies and they arrived when I got home.

Challenge

Oops I forgot to write the post for this card which is for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge. I obviously thought I would be up for writing the post on Friday, we came back on Thursday from a few days away and I went swimming Friday Morning and then went to the Queens Award Volutary Service Award to Friday Swimmers the group I swim with. Hubby is one of the Volunteers who received a paperweight and pin badge. The group was started 52 years ago and we still have a Member who started it now in her ninety.

Back to my card I used the sweet Tolo image in the challenge colours. The papers are some download papers I've had for a while but matched the colours. I used a scallop die to finish the edge between the two different papers.

The sentiment is from Simon says Stamp Sketched Flowers stamp set and the toadstools are a Poppy Stamps die.

Piggy

I had to very quickly make a card because I didn't realise the new Digital Too challenge doesn't start till Saturday, so there will be two Mo Manning makes this week.

I've used Mo's Hello Pig and even Mo showed him with his clothes as if he had been paper pieced so I had to actually make him with scraps of pattern paper.

I made a little scene using the same things as Monday Dinosaur card. The MFT Piggy Pebbles had the perfect sentiment and I used MFT Stitched Banners but I can't find a link to them so not sure where I picked them up from.

Stamp It

I decided to be lazy and stamp the Simon says Stamp Hats from their If the Hat Fits stamp set and once dry blend some ink of the background not bothering to mask them. Honestly I think I will mask them or even colour and fussy cut them out.

The colouring took the longest time because once done I then used the brand new Stamptember Trick and Treat die. I can't link yet because I'm away but if I find some decent free wi-fi I will sort it. But if you go to Simon says Stamp Homepage and along the top you will find Simon Release and the pop up will list the new Stamptember link.
Like I said a very Simple and quick card to make but don't worry a fussy one was made afterwards it will be blogger soon.

You may have seen this  post earlier, I'm going to blame it on a senior moment but Hubby and I have been away for a few days and I obviously forgot to schedule properly before hitting the post button,Ooops.

Postive and Negative

I don't have any halloween papers so I just found some halloween coloured cardstock and cut in thing strips. It's a great way to use up scraps.

After I had made the card below I die cut the Simon says Stamp Stamptember Trick and Treat to make the card above. I brought the Simon says Stamp Friendly Ghosts die a this summer since I missed out of getting them last year and I finally had a reason to use them.

I made this card the same way as above but I made the trick to be straight doesn't quite work out since or annoys me so crooked it is.

Stamptember

September is the most exciting one in my craft calendar because its Stamptember and there's a whole month of crafty fun. To add to the celebration is the 10th Anniversary of it too.

I was lucky to received this amazing Trick and Treat word die from Simon say Stamp to join in the party, check out the Simon says Stamp Blog to find out who else is joining me for crafty inspiriation.

I decided to use it with this Picture Book T- Rex die and I made a little scene using Simon says Stamp Grassy Edges and their Picture Book Sky die.

To bring it altogether I used the Simon says Stamp Wonky Rectangles.

Turtles

I've used a couple of different Kaisercraft paper collections and actually cut out the turtles to lay over my water looking paper.

The shells was also cut out to layer across the join of the two bits of paper. The Seaweed stalks is a Memory Box die at least I think it is been a long time since I made it.

I couldn't actually put a title since I'm not sure where my son was, or what they were doing and I just used word strips that I felt revelant. I felt comfortable of showing the a child since the hat has hidden who it actually is.
