James with Presents

Here he is another sweet James the bear holding some Christmas presents. Cheated with the sky, patterned paper but I think thats it with the last decent scraps of this very old Doodlebug paper.

I used the snow slopes from MFT and an old Snowflake die from Simon says Stamp think it’s called Maryanne. The mini snowflake centres are again old but this time from Lawn Fawn.

The sentiment is a MFT but it’s one with Stacey Yacula Penguin set, it’s now sitting on my desk so I guess it’s this years Christmas sentiment.

Little Star James

I can’t believe it’s taking me so long to blog again but life just gets in the way but it needs to slow down so I can get some Christmas cards done now. I have coloured a few more James the bear and there’s one nearly ready on my craft desk.

This is little star James, background papers are Doodlebug and the snowflakes are Simon says Stamp. To finish I used a sentiment from MFT stamp set.

I found my favourite dies and stamps but it did mean searching everywhere.

Christmas James the Bear

I cannot believe that I don’t have any of Christmas James the bear digi images from LOTV,I have the stamps but I do find digital images easier on my hands and shoulders. I remedied that immediately.

I know I’ve been away from blogging most of August for a while my craft room was emptied to become a bar area for a family get together. This was fine until now it’s put back I can’t find a couple of boxes of my favourite sentiment stamps and just arrived stamps and dies. I’ve searched everywhere.

The sentiment on this card was on MFT penguin stamp set it may be this years Christmas sentiment. Papers are Doodlebug and out came the fun flock and flower soft mixture. You may get tired of James I brought quite a few.

It’s a busy week this week have a long dentist appointment which I’m not looking forward to.

Baby Stroller

Yes I know I’ve been missing but I will explain later in the post. First though a baby card I made for the latest addition to my family and after so many boys we now have a girl.

I used a LOTV image and paper piece the pushchair. The sentiments are from Simon says Stamp and I think the flowers are theirs too. Did go overboard on the flowers must remind myself less is more.

I’ve been missing because I had a belated Birthday with my brothers and as many nieces and nephews that were available nearly all have families of their own. My sister and her family were going to her sons but that fell through due to COVID and they gatecrashed which was a lovely surprise.

So the previous weeks we been giving the house a good sort and my craft room desk was cleared to make way for a bar. Now I need to return my craft room back but the party has left me exhausted, a good exhausted but I’m doing a little at a time so this time next week I should be up and maybe not running but definitely hobbling.

Vintage Boys

Sorry for the crooked photo but it actually straight just the way I photograph. Clean style Vintage Boys from LOTV.

Used a cloud stencil for the background which I’m not sure now if I like it. A MFT fence to give the sky a finishing point. A Simon Says Stamp sentiment to finish off, good job they are tiny words they only just fit.

Vintage Boy Golfer

Life is been quite busy also we have made the most of the lovely weather so my cardmaking as been on the slow side but I did make this chap.

He is from the Vintage Boys and I believe he might be coming as a physical stamp soon but I’m happy with a digi image. The papers are also from LOTV and I inked the white image mat to help it blend with the papers.

My golf ball were made by punching out circles and embossed then with an old embossing folder. The actual reverse is showing. The sentiment is an old Stampin up one.

Vintage Boys

I brought the Vintage Boys from LOTV not sure why I decided to make a slimline card but once again I kept it clean and simple.

The scallop die I used is from Newton Nook then measured the inside so I could just cut down the card card stock to fit inside. The sentiment die is from Simon Says Stamp.

It’s been hot and sunny in my part of the UK while enjoying the warmer weather it’s now getting a little too hot but it’s looking like we will be finishing the warm spell with thunderstorms.

Hope

I’m not sure which Grace this LOTV image is I think it could be Hope. Anyway I used my favourite bit of lace, have only one bit left so need to have another go at sourcing it, have plenty of cream but have a real job getting white. The bit of ribbon to hide the rough edge.

The leaves are Simon says Stamp that are new to me and they were sitting on my desk to be used. The stitched oval is MFT and the sentiment is an old stamp set of LOTV.

Cardmaking and Scrapbooking hasn’t been going well, in the case of Scrapbooking I haven’t done any for a whole year. My mojo for Cardmaking as been hit an miss too. I have some birthdays coming up, tricky men’s ones so will see how they work out.

Turn a Dove into a Robin!

When is a dove not a dove, when I colour it with robin colours. What do you think have I got away with it.

This is another LOTV Grace release called Kindness and once again I paper pieced her dress to match the papers. The circle and square scallop dies are MFT and the Holly is Penny Black.

I’d think she works as a Christmas card just.

Paper Piecing

I love the new LOTV digital stamps, their dresses perfect for paper piercing. I used a piece of patterned paper with a small pattern.

My biggest dilemma was whether my flowers centres should match the flowers on the pattern paper or red  for the heart and bows. Part of me really thinks I should of gone for red.

The hugs is an old die from Simon says Stamp which I layered twice, corners are old favourites from Lalaland, leaves dies Poppystamps.

So lockdown 3 is slowly opening doesn’t really effect me yet still waiting to be vaccinated although hubby as had his first one

Rock a bye Baby

This is one of the new baby digi images from LOTV and whilst I love the image the ocd part of me wasn’t happy with a floating hammock. To rectify this I looked in all my dies to find a way to make it look it was hanging in branches. In the end I found this weeping leaves ones from Memory Box or it could be PoppyStamps they’re kept in the same box. I had to cut it twice so I could layer some over the ends of th hammock. In the end I’m quite pleased how it turned out.

The pattern paper is a leftover scrap from Echo Park and the sentiment is a very old LOTV stamp.

Little Bear

Not sure if this card works or not. It’s base on a sketch I’ve forgotten whose, I know it have three lines at the bottom which I have used MFT die, the a circle which I’ve used as my image a bear from LOTV.

All at the top I think was blank but I’ve used a Creative Expression birthday sentiment die and as I wasn’t feeling good about the card I added small stars in matching blue card.

Oh well maybe someone will like it!

Trio of Elephants

Well we made it out of January and the first day of February starts with it being a special day for my daughter as it’s her birthday.

The little elephants are from LOTV they are individual which I put to together, I did try to make them overlap but couldn’t remember how to merge but decided they would have to work like this instead. I did use a black pen to join up the ground.

My daughters living room is grey and white with a touch of purple so the colours on my card matched that. I had some 12 inch purple polka dots card stock and used my old Lalaland filigree corners, with a bit of ribbon job done.

A bit of Pink

I recently received an order from Simon says Stamp it got caught up in the post so took a time to arrive but this plate background die makes a plain card more interesting.

The little mouse is from LOTV and I tried to match the flowers by using a Daisy die folded in half also the flower centre. I can’t remember now what I used for stalks but the leaves are Memory Box.

Although I have made a few cards in the last week they can’t be posted till they have reached their destination.

Baby Shelf

I'm late I know but I load my cards old school with a camera and they have to be lighten a bit (I don't have any fancy lighting gear either) and resized before upload to blogger. Not helped that the PC is in dining room corner and hubby is trying to decorate at the same time I'm trying to do stuff.

So my card is made by using the Freshly Made Sketch for last week I think, image is from LOTV digi images, papers are probably Echo Park but its lost it cover and it seems I only have a few scraps left.

The scallop Frame is from MFT and the sentiment die is Simon say Stamp and I decided on stars because there are stars in the parcel forgot they were blue.

Snowman

I wanted to use a mitten die to embellish this LOTV snowman card but I don’t think it would show up amongst the patterned paper. So I had to step back.

I used White Pearl thinking they would be white but in fact I should of used the Nuvo White drops on the snow falling in he image.

I cheated again with he white peel off.

Sending Birthday Hugs

Here's one of the cards I made for Birthdays in July, I think I need a break now and I plan to make some Christmas cards this week. Sadly I only seemed to make cards a couple days a week now and some of the image layering takes longer than colouring the images which is why I only make a couple cards per day.

This cutie is a Lily of Valley digi and I used the MFT cloud edges die for the image mat. Not sure on the papers. The daisies are Upsy Daisy from MFT but they are quite old and my favourite.

I've not used my swirly dies for ages and come to think of it this one could MFT too. Sentiment is a Simon says Stamp one.

Girly Bear

For the first time in about in about 13 weeks I actually went out other than sitting in the car telling my husband how to pay at the pumps for petrol or sitting in the car while he went into the pharmacy and I watched the doctors coming to the door of the surgery in full PPE to collect a patient waiting outside in the car park.

I went to the Nationwide Building Society it was OK once I stopped feeling sick and there were a mixture of people some wearing masks and others not. I then rang my sister to see if she was in to social distance in her garden she was so excited to hear we were coming around I felt like crying. Got over that and had a good chinwag catching up.

Enough rambling I do have a card to post, my card making as been almost non existence over the last few weeks. To be honest its difficult for my brain to creative something unique so if I casing another card and it makes me happy then so be it.

Oh dear off again, the papers on my cute cards is Echo Park Spring Fling and I managed to buy another 6inch pad from Papermaze along with some Doodlebug pads. My cute girly bear is from LOTV, I saw here being used on their facebook group and simply had to have her, could have coloured her dress better. The sentiment is one of theirs even though I brought them digitally I'm still used my old stamps. The flowers are My Favourite Things except the dot in middle that was a punch that just about still working.

Balloon Bear

Remember the time where nearly all our cards had lace on, I have box load to use. I decided to use it on this card with this LOTV bear image. I used the digi so to paper piece the balloon I used different bits of card over the image and reprinted it.

Before I layered and paper pieced I used a cloud stencil to make some background clouds and I used my favourite Spellbinder Floral Oval probably retired now but still a firm favourite in my craftroom.

The papers are quite busy and once I added the lace and ribbon I couldn't work out what to add so just added some La La Land corners.

I spy with my little ey and bit of red tape clinging to my card do you!

Anniversary Bunnies

I needed an Anniversary card and I thought this pair of bunnies would work. The bunnies are LOTV and the papers were some bits of Doodlebug, which I used to paper piece the heart Balloon.

Lawn Fawn Scallop borders and the heart die are Simon says Stamp but most companies have heart dies. The hearts I used to embellish are some foam ones that are really for making shaker card but they worked a treat on the white space.
