Boys Thank You Card

I’m hoping this card I posted is now where it’s suppose to go now. I thought it would be nice to receive something in the post for a little chap missing his friends at school instead of a thank you over the phone.

Another Penny Black dog stamp, can’t remember whose paper but the sentiment is Simon says Stamp and the grass die is an old MFT one.

Hope everyone is Ok just wishing for some sunshine all we have had are dark, dank days.

Swirls

When Simon says Stamp sends you something amazing you have to use it straight away and I absolutely love the Detail Swirl Plate makes a plain background look interesting.

Just for quicknest and simply because Mr Mojo is still absence I grabbed their Cosmos Stem and touch of ink and a pink centre to make it look pretty.

Since I finished my Christmas Cards for this year its time for some Thank you cards so I used the Big Thanks Background in the matching colour of the flower centre.

Yes I think this plate is going to be a useful die, I bet it gonna be used a lot in 2021

Altenew are famous for their floral stamps but when I saw this stencil, I had it in my head to make a more masculine Thank You card which is why I chose to use one of their stencils called Molded Lines.

You know what's coming next, out came the Oxides,  lets see if I can remember the colours, the green is Mowed Lawn. Blue was probably Broken China and the red is Fired Brick.

My thanks is a Simon says Stamp Big Thanks die which I cut out in black and white, the stamped sentiment is from Simon says Stamp Tiny Words.

To finish I used Nuvo Vintage drops although the black drops were Liquid Pearls Onyx Pearl.

It just so happened that another Altenew Stencil fell into my basket Elegant Swirls and using various Pinks and Purple Oxides I made female versions. Again using the Big Thanks die and I used the hearts and stars of the Simon says Stamp Holiday Shapes dies to decorate.

The card above I used Simon says Stamp You're a Star die but I layered it twice so it would stand out. The card below I used the Simon says Wonky Rectangles die and used silver card for a bit of glamour.

Thanks

A fairly quick card for the Midway reminder of the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is for Anything Goes.

Once again I've used the new Clear Stamp set called Party Friends, well new for me. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and Ovals and the fishtail is from their Bundle of Shapes but I cut it in half to make it look longer.

The papers are Echo Park called Party Time and I used it for the Bundle of Shapes Stars and word die.

Don't forget to join us, I don't think closing down time is Friday 3rd February evening.

Thanks

We are Blog Hopping on Mo's Dream Team and this month the theme is Thanks. I decided to use the Girl with Sign with the idea of stamping the sentiment inside the box easier said then done. I had to hunt through loads of old stamps till I found one that fitted. Next time I will work it out how to do it in the sign before printing out.

The papers are Echo Park, the sketch is a Splitcoast Stampers SC611 but I added a bit ribbon and some flowers. The flowers are a bit of an experiment but I think I will try with a small snowflake in the centre next time.

So if you been Hopping with us then you should arrived from Julie and now you need HOP, SKIP and JUMP over to Daria.

Million Thanks

A new challenge starts today on Everybody Art Challenge I managed to upload a card by the skin of my teeth.

This weeks challenge is to use the Text has the main image. Ok my butterflies are overpowering the text but hopefully the Spellbinders Book nestabilities will direct your eyes to the words.

The Text is a Stampin Up stamp not sure but could be retired and the butterflies are Stampin Up too. I did use a Memory Box Butterfly die for their bodies and added some pearls to jazz it up.

I used Hero Art Leavy Vines but I used the third stamped impression because I was the same colour but muted to cover some of the white space.

Do pop over and check out the team with their fabulous creations.

It's a fairly quiet week and I'm hoping to catch up with myself, fingers crossed.

My DT card was made very quickly because I decided I wasn't keen on the one I had made. So I cut out my frame using Simon Says Stamps Stitched Squares and using the Simon Says Stamp Apple of my Pie. The stamp set came with the Simon Says Stamps November Kit but you can buy the stamp set on it own.
It helps if you have a small acylic block for each leaf and each leaf had its own inkpad. I've used Olive Green, Orange Peel and Goldenlocks but you can use any Autumn colours.
The large sentiment is also from the stamp set but this time I used Versamark and WOW Gold Pearl Embossing powder.

This was my failure I added a bit of acetate under the frames for the Simon Says Stamps Thanks die to sit on but decided to add some matching red leaves. After I stuck it all together I could hear Julia Roberts saying in my head BIG MISTAKE.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Better Together

There's a new release over on Simon Says Stamp ready for the New Year its called a Better Life.

Now I was lucky to receive a stamp set but unfortunately it arrived has we left for shopping yesterday. So first thing this morning I quickly made up a card. Boy its was quick
First I cut out the Woodland Frame and then took the middle to stamp my little scene using Make a Home stamp set. Loved using the stepping stone to ground my tree and originally was only going to have two birds but there was a space that annoyed me so I stamped another.
Layered the card on a white mat onto a white card like the sketch on Splitcoast Stampers SC 518 and then added the Thank You sentiment ready for after Christmas using Handwritten Greetings.
Not bad for a quick card left an awful mess on my desk to clear up though. Check out the DTs blogs for more updates using the fabulous new products.

I love the Stitched Bundle of Shapes so much so I'm leaving it permanently on my desk and I couldn't resist to use for my Thank you card.
My Penny Black stamp is a cling called From Me to You  it fairly large image so perfect for the frame. I used Simple Stories Homespun using the banner from the bundle as well as the main mat.
My Thanks die has been layered twice because I thought it might get lost in busy patterned paper. All finished with some Holiday Shapes hearts.
I always feel a bit guilty making a CAS for DT but I really like how this turned out.
So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

One Layer

This weeks challenge on Less is More is for One Layer Thank you card. The Thank you sentiment is easy I'm using a Simon Says Stamps one.
So I decided to use my new Flower Garden stamps again from Simon Says Stamp. But first I had to make some Masks to help me stamp out the flowers and leaves. Once stamped I coloured it in my pencils, I drew the lines to make a pretend mat and it is straight, blasted photographer again.
The other day I used Glossy Accents for the centres but I decided to try Liquid Pearls but I think I prefer the glossy accents.
Looks like its going to be a beautiful warm weekend so it going to be hard to make some cards when the sun is calling.

Roses

Its a CAS card this morning, I've admired the Simon Says Stamps Best Mom Ever Stamp set and I seen the stamping in white technique on Pinterest. Add the Sketch from Splitcoast Stampers SC486 which I saw Lols my teamie from SSS made a super card and this is what I came up. I've used the Simon Says Stamps Thanks die to complete the nice and quick card.

Well its been a busy weekend, first off it was MIL Birthday on Friday and Saturday we travel across the Pennines into Yorkshire to visit Lily of the Valley 10th Birthday party. It was absolutely lovely to meet up all the DT who I've worked out I follow every single one of them. Not forgetting all the lovely blogging pals met up with for a chat.
But it was incredibly busy hardly any room to move, I sent MIL and Hubby upstairs for coffee and dragged my DD round with me. Definitely need to visit when its not so busy there were some amazing cards that needed to looking at and although I brought some stamps I've a feeling I missing a few so maybe a little online order is needed!

Butterfly Thanks

Bit late this morning couldn't get into Blogger, been having PC problems so spent yesterday cleaning disks etc to help but it meant have to resign into Blogger. This is not helpful when I can't remember the password so I have jump through the hoops to make a new one knowing full well if I have to clean the disks again I will have forgotten it since all the easy ones have been used.
Anyway back to my card using the Mojo Monday Sketch it is possibly too late. The papers are from the March Simon Says Stamps kit well the bottom strips are from the piece with the strips on and I cut out my favourite ones.
I used the smaller Floral Oval die from Spellbinders but the butterfly is from Simon Says Stamps Leanne die and so is the Thanks die with the coordinating stamp set.

Busy day today unfortunately not for making cards.

Vellum Thanks

I'm so cross with myself the February Kit from Simon Says Stamps is just my cup of tea but I haven't managed to get time to use it as much as I like. But I had the white Thanks left over from the card the other day so it needed to be used.
Also Vellum is making a come back and since I have plenty of it I decided to stamp and emboss using the flower stamps from the kit and use the watercolour plain paper from the kit too. I decided to tear no idea its not my favourite technique.
I've lost my Memory Box little scallops die horrible feeling they found themselves in the bin along with my favourite corner die so devastated since they're both my favourites and unavailable. So had to use my Crochet border die at least I have a spare!
I cut another Thanks for the white to overlap so it stands out a bit.

Zig and Zagging

A couple of weeks ago I had posted a card with chevrons feather but after the feathers were cut out I had a bit left. Since it was a bit fiddly to do I wasn't going to waste it, so I made a scallop frame for the it.
The cut out the Simon Says Stamps Pointed feathers die in the matching colours. Simply finished with a sentiment and since I'm still loving the Perfect Love set from Simon Says Stamps it was an easy choice.

See you at 2pm with a new challenge.

Icelandic Poppy Seed Head

I haven't felt the love of making cards and Mr Mojo has definitely been missing but I've had the idea of this card using Icelandic Poppy Seed Head from Janey Digi Designs. I printed it out on Ktraft card and also on white card. I then used a clear glitter gel pen to run along all the lines I was seeing double by the end and of course you can't see it in the photo.
The centre was made using the images on white card and coloured, then cut out and layered. I was worried I should of printed on Kraft card but it turned out OK.
The finishing touches were to use a white pen for all the end blobs of the lines and white sentiment. It turned out much better than in my head if only the camera had captured it better.

Ooh La La Ribbon

My very good friend Ann asked me to be a guest for Ooh La La challenges and sent me some of the images you get when you buy the Cds.
Now I not a fan of cd and printing out since I'm too lazy drawl through them but with my arthritis continuing the way they it is, it was great too know that if things get so bad I can still make cards.
I love that I can print them out onto matt card I'm not keen on images on shiny papers, no idea why.
So for my first challenge is nice and easy Ribbon and Twine and I kept it CAS. I used the Pretty Blues on the Fleur D'Imagination artwork and one of the matching papers.
Of course I have layer and I used a couple of ribbons and my flatten bows to finish.
Really please how it turned out although the camera didn't think much of the ribbon. I've already made the card for next month but you have to wait another couple week to see that one.
