So to my card which turned out more green than blue but hey ho not much I can do about that now. The papers are Lily Bee Christmas Cheer just had a few left. The girls are from The Greeting Farm Miss Anya Scarfs, I used two stamps from the set and because I layer my images, I didn't have to worry about masking them.
Lucky for me I haven't put away my snowflakes die including the Maryanne one, I cut it out in white first then Kraft which I cut out the centre. Instead of messing around with a glue stick I ran my snowflakes in the small Xyron (its handy for words and letters too) facing down so that glue covered the it. I ran a small embossing tool round the edges before taking the protective strip off and then covered it in the glitter. I still get covered in glitter but it not stuck to glue on fingers!
I used the Happy die and stamp set since my daughter whose birthday is the 1st of Feb and she has been complaining it always seems to snow on her birthday (she better not look at the long range weather forcast).
I used the sketch from The Sketchy Challenge and it had this odd bit at the end of one of the mats so I used a Tilted Banner and sentiment cos the space annoyed me.

There are fabulous Give Aways and inspiration from fabulous designers on a daily basis over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog ,,,if you haven't subscribed by email you may want to so you don't miss out :-)

We are showcasing The Greetings Farm this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!

First of all I must apologise for yet again managing to use The Greeting Farm Hatter Bean that is out of stock obviously myself and loads of you have the same taste.
The paper is Authentique Delightful it ok thats in stock. Now down to the details, well the corners are La La Land Filigree Corner, my favourtie butterfly die of the moment is the Simon Says Stamp Leanna die but I've used a Memory Box butterfly body.
The swirls are from MFT medium Fancy flourish but I had to turn one over to get the right look, I know it would work out expensive but I would really love a left and right flourish cos when you turn it over it doesn't have the nice finish.
Now my flowers are Simon Says Stamp Bella Bloom do love this die but they didn't start as white flowers, no originally they were orange cut from the paper pack. Luckily I managed to whip them off cleanly and replaced with white ones don't worry have since used the orange ones on a CAS card to post another time.

Now you know the drill to win the chance of this fabulous prize you have to enter the challenge with a new card no backlinking and you need to enter your post using the linky thing on the challenge blog. Also you need to link to the challenge in your post or you won't be eligible for the prize.

CityScapes

Time for new challenge on Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

 and this week its
Travel/Cityscapes

Love this challenge, any reason to use the Memory Box Cityscape Nightline but I had to used a cute image too. My first thought was to do it black and white with a red umbrella but my colouring in black simply isn't good enough.
Next thought was brown but in the end I went with the brown and mustard colours because I wanted to use the Carta Bella Beautiful pack.
My little cutie is from Greeting Farm set called Rain, Snow, Shine, to embellished I've used MFT corners but I drew round the die to make a mat behind them. Also I used the Memory Box Leafy Branch with some punched flowers. Finally you need a sentiment so I've used Simon Say Stamps Always on Edge set but I just use the stamps and made a fish tail banner with a square punch.

Now you know the drill to win the chance of this fabulous prize you have to enter the challenge with a new card no backlinking and you need to enter your post using the linky thing on the challenge blog. Also you need to link to the challenge in your post or you won't be eligible for the prize.

Sale sassy

I brought a couple of Sassy Cheryl images that were in her sale before she closed her old shop down and this was one of them.
I pretty sure I've used a sketch from somewhere but its probably late and I can actually remember whose it was. I'm still on CAS kick at the moment but sometimes they work out well.
The papers are Doodlbug and the I think the flowers are a punch or they could be CC Designs but the centres are definititely a punch.
So who like me is cheesed off now with Winter I'm so fed up with the cold but there's a hint of a Spring at the weekend with the North Easterly wind changing to the West then we will be moaning that we are sick of rain.

Simon Says Stamps Challenge

It time again for another card for Simon Says Stamps Challenge and this week its nice and easy Anything Goes. The team is show casing October Afternoon products but its not a requirement to join in.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

Of course some Numpty thought she had some October Afternoon and had to order some, possibly Stamptember wasn't the best time to order with the SSS team so busy but lucky for me it arrived with plenty of time.
With October Afternoon Holiday Style in my hands and it just happened that the Greeting Farm girls were in the parcel and why have one girl when you can two.
The card made itself, I was looking for a background for the girls and decided I wanted the trees in this sheet of paper and then I thought what about the street behind them. So I cut out the circle and matted it but placed it back on the sheet I cut from so I could have the street. It did mean that they're a bit lower on the card than I like but I'm all for compromise.
Yes that is the MFT Crochet Border and the snowflakes are MFT too. Ribbon and Lace to finish, I seemed to have mislaid all my Christmas sentiments but I found the Magnolia one in my Christmas stamp box and decided to use.

So you know the drill there's an amazing prize but you do have to enter to be in with a chance.

Back to School

Well that week went quick and here we are again with another Simon Says Stamps Challenge.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

This week its Back to School and the team is showcasing Sizzix products.

I was lucky to be able to get a sizzix  product for this challenge but next time I really need to check the challenge before I buy cos I brought the On the edge snow flurries which so wasn't going to work for this challenge.
So I decided to alter a notebook even managed to use the card to make a slot for a pencil too. But I did use the Tim Holtz Brackets from Sizzix for the cover so it gave a fun edge. I also used the Filmstrip Frames which I placed some chipboard letters.
The papers are Teresa Collins Spring Fling which I have recently discovered and absolutely love, along with my favourite flowers using the Exclusive Simon Says Stamps Bella Bloom die or thats left to finish is the cute The Greeting Farm girl from the Miss Anya Collection.

Now you know the drill if you want the chance of this amazing prize you have to join in with our challenge.

Summer Part Two

I couldn't not use the background for this mornings card, so I decided to colour this little darling which I think is Greetings Farm. I didn't think it need to much embellishment cos it would hide my background.
So just used my picket fence from Martha Stewart and the MFT flourish with my daisies punched flowers.
The oval mat is a Cuttlebug folder with the flower centres dotted.
Check out the Summer Challenge this week on Simon Says Stamps Challenge.

Whoops

There's a recipe this week at Simon Says Stamps Challenge but someone used two images and the recipe became 3 papers by default.

Photobucket

I've used Hope and Grace from My Greeting Farm, yes it was me that used two images but how could I chose between them. The papers are My Minds Eye and I used nestablilities to make my aperture.  With Martha Stewart punches to make the fence and grass. The flowers are CC five point flower die with some gems and of course a ribbon to finish.
Now don't forget to check out the amazing creations from the team and if you join us you could be in with a chance to win this fabulous prize.

Just a bit of Purple

So a quick post this morning while I wait for my Sis to pick me up to go to Ally Pally, I have a list, yeah right.
Anyway back to the card there is a new sketch blog called Friday Sketch Challenge and its once a fortnight and this is the sketch that finish this coming Friday.
I've used First Edition papers and Greeting Farm image, the border is the scroll and dot border punch from EK success and the swirl is from MFT which was in my wonderful parcel from Simon Says Stamps.
I guess you will be seeing a lot of it while I get it out of my system.

Bingo

We have a great challenge over on Simon Says Stamps Challenge, BINGO, you can chose 3 squares but they have to a line horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

I chose Flowers, Brads and Sentiment and I think my card ticked all the right boxes.
We are showcasing The Greeting Farm stamps of course this isn't a requirement to enter the challenge but its nice to show what crafty goodies Simon Says Stamps sell. She is called Izzy, she wasn't my first choice I suddenly realised the image I was using wasn't a Greeting Farm, so I quickly coloured her.
The papers are Splash by Echo Park, you can now buy 6inch pads now but this is actually the 12 by 12 pack.
Tthe flowers are Prima, removed the orange pips and popped in a brad instead and the pink ones are pretend ones. The sentiment is Penny Black and Simon Says Stamps has over thousand Penny Black stamps really difficult not to buy them.
And don't forget the fabulous prize for a lucky winner but you have to be in it to win.

A Girly Post

Here in the UK we ususally have Mother's Day in March with Easter being late it is in fact on the 3rd April, so Simon Says Stamps Challenge this week is Mother's Day or a Girly card. Why I decided to make a girly card I've no idea cos I do have to make three Mother's Day cards but I couldn't resist this cute The Greeting Farm Izzy.
The papers are Hopscotch from Basic Grey, love this pack certainly getting my moneys worth from it. The flowers are from Prima which Simon Says Stamps has loads of.
The swirl is Magnolia DooHickey die now available from Simon Says Stamps too.

Do pop over to the Challenge blog to check out the fabulous creations the team have made and don't forget there is a chance of a fabulous prize if you join us this week.

EAC Recipe

We've a recipe over on Everybody Art Challenge today, 3 papers and and 3 flowers. While hunting for a particular stamp I found this cute Greeting Farm one unopened so I thought I would use her, never did find the stamp I wanted though.
The papers are Deja Views and I used two papers to mat and the flowers are punched out with another.
Then I realised she has flowers in her hair but we going to have to pretend they are not there!
I do hope you can join us at Everbody Art Challenge and pop over and check out the DT for inspiration.
DS is having keyhole surgery on his knee this afternoon so not sure if I will be able to settle to craft while worrying about him.

Purple Princess

We have a bingo challenge on Simon Says Stamps Challenge this week, you can go up and down and across, even diagonal.
In my case I used Punch/Die cute, embossing and ribbon, I did have a bit of a senior moment and put some brought flowers on which is in a different box so I had to rip them off pretty quick and get my retro punch out.
The little girl is from The Greeting Farm  Madelynn and you may remember she was in that parcel that I brought from Simon Says Stamps.
Love the Martha Stewart around the punch which is why I probably keep using it and since Simon Says Stamps loves anything by Tim Holtz I used part of the Alterations swirl.  The embossing I 've used is the marvellous swiss dots by the Cuttlebug.
Cutting into the Bo Bunny paper has been really hard to do, I've had it so long most places have sold out but I do lovestroking them.
Dont forget the amazing prize from Simon Says Stamp  of $50 and the challenge is really fun to do and if need some inspiration pop over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and check out the fab creations by the DT.
