Apparently its World Card Making day and I thought I better post a card today especially as I'm not card making but at a crop Scrapbooking, still playing with paper.
Before I went on my hols I made sure a few of the Stamptember release from Simon Says Stamp were ordered and was waiting for me when I got back.
I brought the Beautiful Flowers 2 stamps and dies although I haven't use the die here. The main reason the two stand alone flowers reminded me of poppies. I decided to use them first.
I tried very carefully to pull the stamps off the backing sheet and managed to rip the stem, I added a pic where I stamped with the broken stem. You just see a gap although cross with myself this is easily remedy using a Memento Pen and you see the my actual card when coloured looks fine.
I started to used the Splitcoast Sketch SC717 but my poppy looked lost so mat and layered the card with a bit of red card. The borders were made with Simon says Stamp Stitched Scallop Border dies.
Finally my sentiment is using my favourite sentiment stamps at the moment Simon says Stamps Thoughtful Messages.

This is just gorgeous, love the image.xxx
Oh your card is gorgeous x
It's a shame you ripped the stem of the flower Debby, but using the pen to join it back up after stamping works so well you cannot see anything wrong, and what pretty colouring of the flower. I love your design with that bit of red stitched scallop at the bottom which breaks it up and makes a lovely border for the stamped sentiment too. Hope you enjoyed your scrapbooking crop. x
Stunning card I especially love that the card is long, really makes the flower pop, hugs Pops x
Your solo flower is perfect for a sympathy card. It's beautifully colored, too. I especially like the scalloped edges which separate the sentiment from the image. They make a very pretty separation.
Very nice Debby. How annoying breaking your stamp, I hate it when something like that happens... especially when it's "new", lucky it was so easily remedied; looks absolutely fine in the finished article! Perfect image and sentiment for a Sympathy or Thinking of You card, ideal for any number of occasions... just the way I like them, lol. Donna x
