Trio of Bunnies

 My final bunny card this time I used Impression Obession bunny dies. I inked round them but that was it. Papers are Lawn Fawn, trees MFT dies and cloud are Memory Box. To make rectangle frame stitched rectangles from Simon Says Stamp.

I do feel bunnies shouldn’t just be for Easter we always had rabbits when I was child and my children had rabbits to. 

I’m hoping to make a Birthday card for my nephew today because I’m not keen on the one I already made so that’s my plan today.

Floral Bunny

 Another MFT bunny and some pretty paper from Doodlebug. You can see my crafting mojo still hiding. The scallop frame and sentiment banner both MFT. 

The flower die is unbranded and I couldn’t decide whether to use yellow as the centre like paper in the end I went with white now of course I think it should be yellow.

I’m really excited to go and see my sister today, it’s going to be lovely in the warm sunshine.

Fenced Bunny

 I finally had a play in my craft room with the help of some MFT bunnies. Not sure on the pattern paper now but it’s still cute. The fence and grass dies are both old MFT, the paper is or was Doodlebug and finally the clouds are old Memory Box.

I going to see my sister tomorrow in her garden and I’m really looking forward to seeing her.

Snowflake

I have been making cards although not many and they are earmarked for April Birthdays although I not keen on any of them.

Even this card is a bit of a failure it was meant to twist, this Simon Says Stamp Snowflake as a reverse side but obviously I needed to make a see through card. Honestly I don't know what my brain was thinking.

I did have a morning colouring although my hands are not that keen so I had to keep stopping for a rest in between images. I pulled out some old Penny Black stamps I have a whole cupboard full so it was nice to colour up some mice.

Golden Butterfly

 Remember the simple card with the pretty paper last week well I couldn’t waste the leftovers. The papers are Altenew while they are all gorgeous they didn’t work well together only separately. Luckily there was enough left over for a strip in the middle and to back the butterfly.

The butterfly is an old Memory Box die one that I cut out of glitter gold card from Hobbycraft, I think it works better the smooth gold card. Under the solid base is some 3D foam to help the wings stay up a bit but the body is stuck down.

Finally cut out of the sparkling gold card a Creative Expression Birthday sentiment. 

I may not be making many cards these days but it’s not curbing my spending, brought a few Sizzix dies along with a few from MFT release just need the inspiration to use them.

Hope

 

I’m not sure which Grace this LOTV image is I think it could be Hope. Anyway I used my favourite bit of lace, have only one bit left so need to have another go at sourcing it, have plenty of cream but have a real job getting white. The bit of ribbon to hide the rough edge. 

The leaves are Simon says Stamp that are new to me and they were sitting on my desk to be used. The stitched oval is MFT and the sentiment is an old stamp set of LOTV.

Cardmaking and Scrapbooking hasn’t been going well, in the case of Scrapbooking I haven’t done any for a whole year. My mojo for Cardmaking as been hit an miss too. I have some birthdays coming up, tricky men’s ones so will see how they work out.

 

Freshly Trees

I think it was last weeks Freshly made Sketch that inspired my card but I’ve seem similar cards without the scallop frames and wonder if I should have left them out.

The Scallop frames are MFT along with the trees and grass dies. I simply blended some blue ink for the sky. Sentiment from Simon says Stamp.

I so pleased that I’ve now had my vaccination well one of them and all goes well in a few weeks time, I shall have some immunity and a little peace of mind.
 

Blue and White

 I have been inspired by some card on Pinterest although I can’t use the same stamps or dies, I found some items in my stash that might work instead.

I stamped part of a background stamp in white and the blended some ink. Then using various leaves from Memory Box and Simon says Stamp in white card to make my cluster of leaves. Finally an old Birthday sentiment on matching blue card.

Gold Happy Birthday

 A few weeks back there was a Freshly Made Sketch that was perfect for CAS card when using pretty Altenew paper that was hard to cut into.

My gold mat had to be cut a certain size to hide the double faux stitching which got me thinking that I need some single stitched frames dies but everywhere seems out of stock.

I cut the Creative Expression sentiment in white card and then cut and layered the gold card.

Fairy Maxi

 I should of placed the image higher up in the circle so I could stamp a sentiment under the ribbon, hindsight is a wonderfully thing.

Otherwise this is a Mo Manning image Fairy Maxi I think she’s called. Papers are some Doodlebug ones.

The heart banner is Lalaland die and I tried to match the papers flowers using MFT dies.

At last I’ve managed to book a Covid vaccination near home and go on Thursday. That’s eased my anxious mind, even was able to book my second. 

Baby Gender Reveal

 Oh heck I thought I published this, I received the Gender Reveal stamp set from Simon Says Stamp from their latest release.

It has this really cute pram stamp which this time I coloured up in pink and made it the main feature of my card. You can buy the dies for the stamp set too but I’m writing this up on my i pad and will link to the store later. There’s some really cute dies to buy too.

I used their swirl background die plate and a few Holiday shapes to give the card some background interest.

Hugs and Kisses

 This a Patreon image from Mo Manning not sure I’ve done it justice. The paper are leftovers Doodlebug and I paper pieced her top.

Finished off with a daisy die flower with a Poppystamps leaves die, a few tiny stars and an old LOTV sentiment which I now wish I backed with purple to help it stand out.

Turn a Dove into a Robin!

  

When is a dove not a dove, when I colour it with robin colours. What do you think have I got away with it.

This is another LOTV Grace release called Kindness and once again I paper pieced her dress to match the papers. The circle and square scallop dies are MFT and the Holly is Penny Black.

I’d think she works as a Christmas card just.

Altenew Rose

 Tulips last week this week it’s the rose even more tricky, I needed four colours to make the rose. Of course the rose die is Altenew expensive die and quite large too. This time I found an old floral embossing  folder.

Sentiment LOTV and MFT banner die. I think honestly I love the tulips better but I have been a bit naughty and brought the Tim Holtz rose that I’ve yet to try out but I blame Kath for that I loved her slimline card she made with it.

Paper Piecing

 I love the new LOTV digital stamps, their dresses perfect for paper piercing. I used a piece of patterned paper with a small pattern. 

My biggest dilemma was whether my flowers centres should match the flowers on the pattern paper or red  for the heart and bows. Part of me really thinks I should of gone for red.

The hugs is an old die from Simon says Stamp which I layered twice, corners are old favourites from Lalaland, leaves dies Poppystamps.

So lockdown 3 is slowly opening doesn’t really effect me yet still waiting to be vaccinated although hubby as had his first one

The Owl and a Penguin

 I still had an owl and a penguin left for the Christmas batch I coloured up so I decided to put them together on a card. Still not sure of the floating penguin.

The sentiment is Simon says Stamp and of course my critters are MFT. I found a tiny bag with snowflakes and sequins and decided to use them in hindsight I should of used real snowflakes.

I’ve got some new images that I’ve coloured up to be made into cards so that she keep me busy. Also I need to make a wedding anniversary card for hubby.

Altenew Tulips

 I really liked the look of Altenew create a flower tulip dies, yes they are a bit on the expensive side and I kept putting of buying them but as you see I eventually brought them.

The tricky part was finding contrasting colours which why they are purple. Yes it was fiddly but the instructions were easy to read but they are huge an it was hard to emboss to give the shape after you stuck the layers so possibly will do it again but emboss each layer to give some more of a rounded shape.

I used an old embossing folder for the background, an old LOTV sentiment on a MFT banner die.

ipod and coffee

 Haven’t used a Saturated Canary image for awhile and this one was coloured up and ready to be made into a card. I lacked inspiration last week so kept it simple with a few Musical Notes die cut from a very old MFT die. Sentiment is Tiny Word from Simon Says Stamp.

Thankfully Hubby got his vaccination yesterday, still not sure when I’ll get mine but feeling a bit more positive especially now we have a Wedding to look forward to.

An Owl cluster

 I still have a couple of MFT critters left over from Christmas last year and I was inspired with last week Splitcoast Stampers sketch SC839 which is a centre small square. I basically just make a cluster of details and ignored the square.

A couple of small Christmas trees cut in a scrap of pink Snowflake paper, layered my Owl made a sentiment strip with white embossing powder. Finally cut a snowflake in glitter card. I think it turned out well but that’s not always a good sign.

The inky embossing folder didn’t work out to plan and all ended in the bin will keep ink pads firmly separate from them in future.

Girl with a Present

 I can remember what sketch I used for this card it was splitcoast stampers although it was from memory so I probably got it wrong but the card is made. 

The papers are so old LOTV I’ve still got bits off with a Mo Manning image. I decorated it with holly made with an old Martha Stewart punch which is still working and the sentiment is a Creative Expression layered twice to help it stand out.

I don’t know how many cards I’ll make today I’m experimenting. With the renew interest in embossing folder I’m going to try and ink some up and make some backgrounds. I’ve always failed in the past but I’m going to have another go.
