It's Christmas

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

Well not yet but on Simon says Stamps Challenge it is, Anything Christmassy.

The team is also showcasing all the amazing Exclusive Simon Says Stamps Dies and Stamps but its not a requirement for the challenge or the prize just showing the amazing goodies that are in the Store.

Well Mr Mojo has been misbehaving and I decided to go for a white card and using the gorgeous Snowflake dies Curvy Snowflakes and Faceted Snowflake which I layered together. I left some of the cut out detail in situ one to help to make them stick but also to help show the snowflake more.
I layered the white card and round the edge I added some Doodlebug Sugar Coating and also on the snowflakes.
The inner mats are Spellbinders Marvellous Squares and the sentiment is using the Holiday Labels, just a little corner to break up the bareness of the part of the card.

Now you know the drill to win the chance of this fabulous prize you have to enter the challenge with a new card no backlinking and you need to enter your post using the linky thing on the challenge blog.
You may not want to know this but Simon Says Stamps have released some new stamps and dies.

Whose that hiding behind my tree

No card this morning but I leave with a pic of the vistor we had on Sunday, you may have already seen him on Facebook but you've only seen his legs.
Apparently DD is chief festive director at her place of work well her small department and with a few days off she has made
A life like Santa
He's been in my front room till this morning unfortunately Mrs Claus is in two parts and was unavailable for a photo.
See you at 2pm for Simon Says Stamps Challenge.

Couple of Oddities

Found a card in drafts, its not my idea saw it on Pinterest, reason for not blogging not sure I like it. Perhaps I should of made it a bit more grungy.

Also I've added to this post a quick card, well I wanted to use my Dainty Bows from MFT that I've hunted for and had to wait for restocks then discovered there's Beautiful Bows too. But I think these bows will keep me happy.

Christmas bear

Still ploughing through some coloured images that have been waiting so long to be made into cards like this little LOTV bear.
This time I think I made the colours work and I've used the Sketch Wednesday sketch.
The papers are Kaiser Christmas carnival which for some reason I have two packs. The snowflakes are Kars punches and I found the ribbon in my ribbon pile and sentiment is from Craftwork cards.
Starting to feel the love from Mr Mojo perhaps he thinks Santa will put him on the naughty list.

CAS Birds

Something clean and simple and quick to do today. I've decided I'm going to use all the images coloured and waiting to be made into cards that have been in the pile for ages and these cute birds I think are left over from last year!
I had some dotty and check paper scraps which fitted perfectly. A little bit of advice though don't blog before going shopping at a craft shop. Last week I saw the Hero Arts sentiment and decided if they had it there I would buy it so you can see they did indeed have one and it was perfect to finish the CAS cards.

Don't forget on Christmas Eve to enter my Favourite Five Christmas cards it will run till the following week so you have a few days to post before its My Favourite Five of 2012.

Bad Bear

My title should read Good Bear but Bad card can you believe it was the second attempt the first went in the bin!
I think I just got the colours wrong, well especially the snowflakes. I did say Mr Mojo had up and left but I hope it comes back today Hubby is off working with BIL and its gone mild so my craftroom isn't so cold so what can Mr Mojo complain about and he might prefer card making than the awful job I doing at the moment.
I'm making something involving a fringe ( I have to be careful you never know if the recipient is reading my blog and I'm making a gift) and I need to hand sew white on white and tiny fiddly stitches, its taking ages just to do one side and there's another 3 to go. My hands are now complaining so I'm giving it a rest for a day or two before I pick it up again.
So fingers cross some nice cards to be made today.

Holly Mice

I've only a few decent pages and a few scraps of these Authenique papers, so my layout is related to what I had left. Do think the papers work really well with these Holly Mice from Penny Black I think its quite an old stamp so you may difficulties getting it.
The usual suspects Martha Stewart Holly punch, the cuttlebug corners, ribbon and the tiny scallop border again from Martha Stewart.
The image is quite big for my normal square size so there wasn't much else I could add.
Considering I've wrapped my parcels, written my cards etc ready for last weekend, this week has been busy so I'm feeling exhausted having barely got over the last weekend.
But I shouldn't complain one of the days this week was a trip to Crafts U love to get my Christmas present from Hubby whose whisk it away it isn't anything exciting but its storage for the thin dies and will work to save me a tiny bit of room! I got to say Hi to Suzi and the crew there and spent quite a bit of money I what I class as essentials. I also popped over to Art of Craft in Farnborough needing some advice on wool and there was a class and I finally meet the lovely Brenda who obviously needs to teach me all things Tim.
I did managed to get in my craftroom for a little while yesterday, discovered Mr Mojo was exhausted too and one card found its way in the bin although I did save the image but still don't like the card I eventually made.

Fifi

This is one of the last cards I made before going to MIL last week, I'm pretty certain it was for a sketch challenge thats already finished. I've used the gorgeous paper from LOTV and so is the sentiment. Flowers are punches and you can see that MFT border die makes another sneaky appearance.
And the gorgeous sweet Ballerina is from Mo Manning called Fifi. Now some of you already follow some of the amazing Dream Team blogs and will already know but those that don't Mo is having her first ever sale and you can get an amazing 25% off your total order.
But if you don't theres are a couple things you need to know one is you need the code to get your 25% off which is CHEERS2U and the second thing you need to know you only have till the 17th December so get over there quick.
I'm looking forward to getting into my craftroom today, being dragged out almost everyday is having a knock on effect on my crafting especially has I'm still trying to recover from last week. Although my craftroom has been so cold it was probably a good thing I haven't been up to much this week. But the normal British Winter is back today wet and windy so fingers crossed I get a couple of cards made today or else no more cards to blog.

All in White

The week I was going mad making cards ready for this week there was a challenge for a white card and I had the idea of using the houses from memory box in the floral oval but time ran out. But I've carried the idea for the whole card in my head for a couple weeks and at least I've managed to make it.
The trees are Dee's Distinctly die and the fence is Martha Stewart punch, I really need to find a die the same size cos it really hurts to punch on bad days. The corner is memory box too and it cried out for a snowflake to finish along with all the pearls, whoops so is the star memory box too.
All covered and myself with Glamour Dust.
Lucky for me there's a Snow White challenge on Papertake Weekly I think this fits the bill.

My favourite is

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog
What a fabulous challenge this week on Simon Says Stamps Challenge to use your Favourite, stamp, tool or product.
Now I had a bit of dilemma what to use but I do love stamps even though I find it harder to use them with my hands but the I do love my Sarah Kays and you can find loads at Simon Says Stamps.

My card is a little different for me, almost clean and simple but not quite. I've used Joy of Giving which is a Sarah Kay that just doesn't get used enough. The papers are Kaiser Christmas Carnival but they've now sold out but there are still this years Kaiser Christmas papers.
The  tree is a Dee Distinctively Christmas Stacker Tree and I sneaked in as a border is the MFT crochet die Some twine to make my bow and a banner made with a square punch and word stamp from Holiday Labels.

Don't forget to there's a fabulous prize but remember to link to your creation no back linking to an old card.

And the Winner is

No card this morning but do have the winner of the Absolutely Always candy.

Favourite Five

So here are my absolutely rubbish challenge icon and if anyone can do better please do cos my brain is fried. I keep telling myself I'll practise but then suddenly its December and I needed it yesterday.
The Christmas Card one runs from Christmas Eve to Saturday 29th and the Favourite Five runs from New Years Eve to Sunday 6th January. Of Course there will be candy for a random winner for the Christmas
and for the
Favourite cards

Now the rules you have to load Five cards for each challenge at the stated days, if you have more cards than five I will forgive you but not less.
I know there as been a challenge for a favourite card for each month that will be fine too.
I will have a Linky thing for you to link to your favourite post so I don't have to hunt for it cos I will visit.

Anything Goes

Time for another challenge on Everybody Art Challenge, the last one before Christmas. The DT are having a break for Christmas so I nice and easy challenge of Anything Goes and the we will be back on the 8th January.
I realise with Christmas my poor Saturated Canary girls were being neglected so I got one my favourites printed and I needed to get away from Christmas colours. The papers are First Edtion and yes there is no way with girlie image and an oval that I'm unable to resist the MFT crochet border die and the sentiment is LOTV.
The Flower spray is Memory box but the big flowers are punched and hiding the ones in the spray. Pretty bit of lace and ribbon, job done.
Well the snow it managed to miss us and we had a good journey to and back from MIL. I don't why it surprises me since I made cards for this week knowing it would happen but once again I'm shattered and with a combination of trying to walk too much and the cold the old joints are hating me at the moment.
My quiet week seems to have a disappeared and I'm doing something most days but keeping the walking to the minimum.
Have also started an big cross stitch project something I've not attempted before and I've 19weeks to get it done.

Absolutely, Always

Have a small blog candy you will find it HERE

Herald Harry

This is the first card for a while that I'm really please how it worked out. I'm using this weeks Sketch and Stash sketch.
The papers are the Nitwits ones that LOTV are selling and the snowflake is a cuttlebug die and a couple of Kars punches all glittered up with glamour dust.
Since Mo's Herald Harry is floating in the air I though he needed some Memory box cloud dies to help stop him floating away. I also glittered the clouds and the snowflake paper so its very sparkly.
I've discovered that Harry is in Mo's old shop so not sure if he is still available.

Bella Boy

A little card with a little Skater Boy from Stamping Bella, you will find him here. Its not my normal size square rather a smaller Craftroom cards one but its a perfect fit for this chap.
The papers are the busy Doodlebug and I've just really added a banner and sentiment and left it to that cos its so busy.
You may have worked out I'm not been here, fingers crossed we are on our way back from MIL and we're not snowed in. Snow was forcast on the day I was writting some schedule posts or in could be you're not reading this at all I we weren't able to go.
So I better schedule tomorrow post just in case we are still not here!

Baby Hedgie

I've been selling a few bits on a Facebook group and you may think that I would spend the money on things that are need at home, I do confess to buying my BIL Christmas present but the rest!
The idea is for downsizing my craft room so that if I have to move out eventually it will be easier not buying more craft stuff like this adorable Penny Black stamp that Diane was selling.
Since I seemed to be going into Pink mode at the moment a card for a Baby Girl and there will be no problem colouring it in for a boy.
The papers are First Edition, the daisies are Woodware punches and the sentiment is from LOTV. Whoops could that be the MFT crochet die for the circle mat and ribbon border.

Sarah Kay's Christmas

I love Sarah Kay stamps but you might have guessed that by now and I also love it when I use the last of some old papers. It also helps because you have no choice how you use them, in this case I had two strips of the dotty and checks and a larger bit of the patterned also I had previously used the red dotty for flowers so it had random bits taken out of it.
So here is the end result, I used punches for the flowers only cos I was cold and didn't want to venture out of my craftroom  and my Big Shot is inside the back door across an unheated walkway. The Holly swirl is from Cheery Lyn and I don't believe it but that does look like the MFT crochet die, I guess the only way I won't be using it is when it doesn't work anymore.

Sketch Saturday

I love the way Lesley from Grenouille Greetings overlapped her mats on her card using the Sketch Saturday Sketch this week but when I tried just didn't work. And putting more embellishments wasn't going to help as I found out.
My only saving grace is using one of the girls from The Three for Tea set from Mo Manning.
The papers are My Minds Eye, flowers are dies but my mind has gone blank and I can't remember which they were. The swirl is from magnolia and the fancy corner is from Memory Box.
I've put away my Christmas paper although I do still have a few cards and images but Christmas cards I'm no longer in panic mood since they have all be sent out.

Snowflakes

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

Ok its time for another challenge on Simon Says Stamps Challenge and this week its for Snowflakes.

And we are showingcasing Glitter Ritz which is an amazing fine glitter but you don't have to use some to enter our challenge its just the DT showing what an amazing variety of goodies there are in

Now my card I'm using the gorgeous Winter Wishes papers from Echo Park and the adorable Pure Innocence Snow Day, love that these stamps cry out paper piece me so thats exactly what I've done.
Yes I know I've used the MFT crochet die for my border round my circle.
My snowflakes are Martha Stewart Glacial snowflake now instead of cheating I should of have popped my snowflakes in the Xyron and that why I would get an even coverage. Using a glue pen works but I kept missing bits so now my glue pen is stuck with Glitter Ritz Western Blue glitter.

Don't forget to there's a fabulous prize but remember to link to your creation no back linking to an old card.
