All you Need is Love Blog Hop

Mo's Dream Team is blog hopping this month with a theme of All You Need is Love and hosted by Jane.

I decided to use Mo's Brothers aren't they adorable, they take some working out to get all the layers but well worth it.
The papers are My Minds Eye possibly Lime Twist and I also followed the sketch from The Sketchy Challenge. But was so annoyed that I couldn't find my coloured paper clips I thought they would be perfect in the corner for a boys card, had to settle for some tiny clothes pegs instead but then I had to layer the card stock for them to fit under.
The border is Martha Stewart zigzag punch boys or mens cards out it comes and the sentiment is PC generated the perfect sentiment.

Pink Polka Dots

Simon Say Stamps Challenge this week is for a sketch and its a nice easy one.

I've used Belles and whistles Cupcake stamp along with Kaiser papers Miss Nelly.  The flowers are a MFT die even comes with its own dinky leaves too.
But what I really love is the Meridian Border from Memory Box which I cut out and  using the hole in between each scallop I cut up to it allowing me to slightly turn the scallops to fit round the circle mat. I think this border may overtake my love for the deep edge doily punch.

Blue Tuesday

This is the second attempt to photo this card for some reason the camera just doesn't like the colour.
Well its time for a new challenge on Everybody Art and this week its a sketch.  
Its a fab sketch one you can dress up or keep it clean and simple. In my case this is my version of Clean and Simple.
The swirls are MFT and the flowers are EK success and the tags are HOTP template and dare I say it but the words are peel offs.
Of course the image is a gorgeous Saturated Canary image which was a delight to colour.

Fairy Monday

Apologies for the yellowish photo thats cos i had to photo with the room light on, its also turned her pink dress purple! It's OK I've changed the pic although she still looks like her dress is still purple.
The sweet fairy is a Sugar Nellie and the sketch is from this weeks Sketch Saturday. I've kept it simple since I was suffering a headache and nothing was working.
The papers are from Echo Park called Country drive, the deep edge doily punch from Martha Stewart for the borders and a craftwork sentiement.
I had a great time at the crop and managed a single and a double layout but they still need titles which I hope to sort out this week.

On your Trike

This is going to be a quick post off to Scrapbuddies crop today, normally I would have schedule the post. Another fabulous image from Mo Manning called Bye Bye, the papers are Country Drive by Echo Park and I've used this week sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
The picket fence border is Martha Stewart and Ek success retro flower punches.
Gosh this is a short post.

Triple Hedgies

Whats harder to photo than a easel card that would be a Tri Shutter Card, so this post is a bit picture heavy.
Reason for the type of card because its Anything Goes over on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and since I had these three Hedgies coloured up and although they're seperate stamps I reckon they work really well together.
The papers are First Edition sorry not sure which one and I've over used the funky flower punch.

Aren't these Hedgies so cute.

Here's a pic with them all together but I do have a confession somehow and I can't work how I messed up, the card doesn't lay flat like it should do and the last fold sticks up. So rather a waste the adorable images I managed to get them off.

And added them onto tinky scallop cards and just added a sentiment on each.

Drama Queen

What another post, that would be cos Sketch Saturday has a new sketch tomorrow. I love this little drama Queen but she is actually called The Damsel and is a Mo Manning image.
I've used Kaiser papers they're quite old and have long since lost the cover but I thin magic was in the title, still have a few scraps left and few pages which I have problems actually cutting into them left.
The swirl is from My Favourite Things but I do have a habit of chopping of the bottom and use it else where on the card.
A touch of stardust stickles on her dust and the collar and sleeves are finished with a mixture of flowersoft and fun flock, not forgetting some pearls and flowers.

Weddings and Babies

Well my DS has informed me that this year he's been invited to three weddings and I knew my DD had one to go to although she told me that actually its two, guess who will be making the cards. I've also been informed that I will be a Great Auntie again twice.
So I thought I'll get started on the wedding cards so I got out my favourite wedding stamps from WOJ and decided to use the sketch from Totally Gorjuss. I had chosen the patterned papers but when it came to actually make the card I went all white with a touch of pink. Since I had embossed every mat I couldn't add flowers cos it already looked very busy. I can also enter the Deep Ocean Challenge who is looking for lots of white, reckon this card ticks that box.
Sorry about the crooked cards I've tried everything to photo it square including using a spirit level, I hate using the straightening tool cos it seems to take out some of the sharpness of the image.
I may be back later I've just realised I've made a card using Sketch Sat and that needs to be posted today too but I will have to wait till daylight to photo it.

Finished X-stictch project

Back again like a bad penny but since this is a diary of sorts of my crafty creations I need to record my lastest finished Cross-stitch
Everytime I go to Spain I try to pick up one their Cross-stitch magazines even though in Spanish its still squares of colour and list of numbers and easy to work out. But apparently I have these magazines and I was informed never used them so I decided to remedy this by making this scene that was in one of them.
Its quite a large project but there were quite a bit of large areas of the same colours except for the pesky trees.
I have no idea how many man hours it took especially the occasions I've had to unpick some of it and to be honest I don't what to know.

Last Christmas Card of 2011

I found this card in draft posts its the card I had to make at last minute for Mum to give to my Sis. Its very similar another one I made but I believe I used the darker colours on the image. Of course she is a Sarah Kay and the poinseittas are a Marianne die with some chocolate coloured pearls and the papers are Isabella from First Edition.
Which reminds me that Viv hasn't claimed the prize, if it not claimed by Monday I will draw it again.

Purple Thursday

I thought this Penny Black slapstick stamp would be perfect for the Less is More purple challenge only problem was I need a light and dark purple and the only one I could find was Perfect Plum and Light Plum inkpads from Stampin Up. Then when I cut out the balloons and made it predominately purple the light Plum which looks more like pink stood out more than the purple.
Never mind I thought I would have a go with distress inks instead, so I stamped a couple pieces of card and embossed with white powder than got down to blending Mulled ! and Dusty Concord. Made a lovely job with just the right amount of distressing then stamped a verse in the middle looked b****y awful and it went in the bin.
I also distess a couple of bits of card to stamp using black ink this wasn't the time for the inkpad not being juicy enough and it was only when I stamped did I find out so they went in the bin.
So that left this one but there are issues first off, there is a mark in the middle which a butterfly is conveniently hiding but one odd butterfly looks out of place consequently there are now three butterflies using a very old punch.
Then there is the smudged sentiment because I'm stamping on linen card you need to be extra firm guess I was bit too firm. But here it is in all its glory and I shall be wearing purple for the next few days.

WOYWW and Scrapbooking

Today on WOYWW I thought I show my problem area, my flowers. Nothing wrong with the flowers its the containers, you can work out there is a hook above them and usually there are thing hanging there and there's another to the left. When I need the stuff hanging somehow it knocks one of the flowers which then sends several crashing around me. Also when I need to plug in my heat gun again the flowers crash around me.
So just when my hubby thought I had enough really useful boxes it looks like I shall be collecting them again.

I'm doing a sketch challenge at the Scrapbuddies crop this weekend, I use one of Pagemaps sketches the one I used is actually in the archives. I make a layout so there's a real life one at the crop as well as taking the pic of the example from Pagemaps.

The papers are Bo Bunny Cambridge which I brought ages ago from Simon Says Stamps just needed time scrapbook with it. The swirl is Memory Box guess you'll be seeing that on a layout again, the A is cut on the cricut using Blackletter font. In the scroll is some journallling about the day the pic was taken.

 Last October Janet taught this layout at the crop she told us it would be quick, she lied I was making this, the whole time at the crop and it kept me quiet all day too.
I finally got around to finishing it but next day when I put the templates in the safe place I need to write a note to myself where that safe place is. Took me nearly a hour to discover it was in my pink bag pocket the whole time.

 Couple of close ups of the Snowmen, the bottom one had to be redone, when I made him originally I punched out the eyes with the same punch as his buttons but it made him evil looking, you can't have a demon looking Snowman now can you.

Spots and Stripes

Time for another challenge at Simon Says Stamps this weeks is for Spot and Stripes, sort of had an issue with stripes like I couldn't find another sheet of My Minds Eye Beautiful Life to work with the papers I had already chosen. Luckily the adorable Stamping bella Chloe the coffee mug girl  has a stripey headband so I stopped moving papers around.

The Design Team is showcasing Memory Box and I adore their dies so there was no problem there. I've used the Catalina Wreath die to prove its not just for Christmas and the Meridian Border die with MFT flower die.

I blew the plug sockets again yesterday and discovered it was my heater, unfortunately it couldn't be repaired so a new one was brought so I will have to be curb my spending for a bit.
So with the new heater installed, I decided to have an evening of crafting now if I said my hands are now purple and several cards made it to the bin would you know what sort of cards I've been making.

Shabby

Time for another challenge at Everybody Art this week is for Shabby cards not sure I've managed that now looking at my card but I did ink all the edges and the papers are Basic Grey Piccadilly which look a bit vintage so thats shabby in my book.
I've used another Tilda from the lastest release, lately I only buy a couple and I make sure that they can be used for all different occasions like this Tilda has a heart parcel but that can work as present not just for Valentines.
I've use Martha Stewart deep edge doily punch for round my oval mat and the border, the magnolia swirl with flowers out my stash. The sentiment is Stampin Up  and finished with cuttlebug corners. Oh yes don't forget the bit of ribbon.

Pink and Green

I wanted to put flowers somewhere on this card but with busy bright paper they wouldn't work and the wide border didn't help either.
Anyway this is this week Sweet Sketch Wednesday and obviously its Tilda. The papers are Doodlbug and the border is and EKsuccess punch I love this one cos its so easy to draw round on contrasting paper and cut out.
A touch of ribbon and a sentiment, not forgetting the corner die, just wish the paper wasn't so busy so I could put flowers on it.
I reckon this card would work for the Just Magnolia and Hanglar and Stanglar challenge seeing its anything goes.

It's in his Kiss

I absolutely love this Ragged Romeo from Mo Manning and don't be surprise to see it over and over again cos its perfect for Engagement and Anniversary cards.
I've used the sketch on Totally Papercrafts it looks fine in RL but now seeing it on my blog not sure on the check paper. The papers are My Minds Eye and the brackets are a Marianne die the one with the sign.
Of the course the Heart border and the Heart are both Martha Stewart punches with some roses to finish.
Whoops no ribbon.
This is a very belated Engagement card for my nephew and his girlfriend.
Well I had a good day crafting yesterday with a bit of luck if I get to tick a couple of more things today, I will be back on track and I can spend more time catching up blog hopping.

Case It

First Challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge of 2012 and we're trying something new well new to me, we're are caseing a DT favourite card and this month it Beths

Here's Beths card

You can see I followed Beth sketch although it could be the colours that appeal or that it features stars or even the image which I actually don't have, yes there a few PB stamps that aren't in my collection.
So I've used the New Leap from First Edition and Beth had doodled on her card so I decided to doodled faux stitching.
The sentiment I've used is an old Hero Arts one and I sneaked a bit of ribbon on as well.
I finally feel that boys (Mr Motivator and Mr Mojo) could be back in the house but I reckon they're a bit jet lagged by the amount of time I moved that star around to get it in the right place.
