Love is in the Air extra
I did make a card for the Love is in the Air challenge at Simon Says Stamps using the another Sarah Kay stamp called A kiss for Chloe and the papers are My Minds Eye Happier.
Not why I made an easel card they're so difficult to photo so I've broken it down in stages. So this is the main mat, you know that the swirls are Magnolia Doo Hickey one, I've recently used it on some scrapbooking that I did at the weekend, so its not just for cards.
The gorgeous flowers are Prima Innocence range, once I used one it was diffficult not too used them all but I only used half of the packet.
The strip is using EK success punch called Elegant Flourish scroll but once the strip was punched out I used it as a template to cut out the pink card to stick underneath so the pink swirls show.
Hope you can join us at Simon Says Stamps Challenge this week and be in for a chance to win the fabulous prize of
Fairies
I thought for a change I would use this layout for Simon Says Stamps Challenge where the DT is showcasing the beautiful products from Prima. Not only do they have those most beautiful flowers like Gwendolyn that I've used but they do papers, stamps and masks which is what I've used for wrought Iron Fence.
It was my first time at trying a mask and I used distress stain but I found I preferred the acylic paints. The larger butterflies are Memory box and used Martha Stewart Cherish set round the pink paper which is an old set of Crate Paper. The larger letters are cut out using Storybook on the cricut and the others are out of my stash.
The pic are of my niece with her daughter playing in my brothers garden which I thought would work the Love is in the Air challenge this week.
Now don't forget we would love for you to join us and there's a fabulous prize of
Don't worry I made a card too but I put that on another post later.

Love at Everybody Art
Well it must be Valentine soon cos on Everybody Art Challenge is for Love/Hearts and Sarah Kay images are perfect for this challenge.
The papers are Kaiser and the hearts are Martha Stewart, the tinky flowers are from Wild Orchid I think.
The sentiment is from Stampin Up as is the punches I used for it.
I trying to wait patiently for new Sarah Kay from stampavie there's a total of 20 but I've managed to whitttle it down to 11 but this may have to be revised depending how many pennies are in my craft pot.
Do hope you can join us at Everybody Art Challenge and don't forget to check out the team.

Who Me!
A very appropriate card seeing as we've got snow but its thawing nicely and we had no problems getting home from Sis yesterday.
This is another fabulous Mo image called Who me!, I've managed to cut into some old Echo Park papers, really hate cutting into 12 by 12 but have no such problems with the 6 inch pads.
I've used the memory box die which I brought after Christmas so glad to have an excuse to use it although I should of waiting till the stickles were dry before photo the card!
A few snowflakes and job done!
I had a brilliant day on Saturday although it was cut short with the knowledge that snow was arriving and I knew my Sis wouldn't be happy driving in it if it got bad and Nicki who came with us had another good half an hour journey after we got to Farnborough. I spent quite a few hours moving papers but I did finish the couple of layouts I started at Sis yesterday.
Today I've got Hubby home since the weather has stopped him working today, I've sent him out shopping to keep him occupied.

And another one
I'm scheduling this post just in case I'm snowbound in Farnborough with the slowest PC, you have to remember we don't cope very well in this country with Snow so even if its only a couple inches everything will come to a stand still but we will wait and see.
I know the LIM sketch challenge is finish but while searching for a stamp I found this monkey and again inspired by Jenny I knew I could make a little scene using him. I've had such fun with this LIM sketch and its one that I will definitely remember for the future.
My little monkey is a Whipper snapper stamp and never sure on the correct way to explain the size of card but its an A5 fold in half.
Sizzix leaves, picket fence from Martha Stewart and my grass is the icicle border punch again by Martha Stewart.

Thirty
I've already added this to my All in One place blog so I thought I should pop it on my blog not sure if DS will be keen for me to show it since it shows his age. Come to think of it not sure I want everyone to know his age!
This first layout is based on Shimelles class on UK scrappers, after flicking my paint I decided to punch some dots from the papers to bring it together instead of the white ones Shimelle had done.
Then layout went its own way and I just went with the flow.
Can't believe I actually journalled nearly a whole essay about his cake. This time I've used Shimelle's starting point and once again it just rolled into something I liked.
Here's the two pages together.

have a nice day
Having a bit of a Penny Black Weekend, also I'm having to schedule this post since I'm at my Sisters if you follow me regularly you will know she has the slowest PC is the South East and I'm not known for my patience.
Anyway back to the card, I'm having a bit of break from challenges at the moment, I felt a bit bogged down trying to remember when they're due and waiting for an appropriate ones to be posted. I've found it very uplifting just making cards cos I love the image. We will wait and see how long it lasts, its nice to be a bit fickle.
The papers are First Edition and my favourite swirl from Magnolia and of course punches flowers. Wait a minute where's my bit of ribbon!

Another Cased Card
Here's another card that was inspired by my original card. These Penny Black perky pigs have been coloured up and were waiting to be made in a card for quite a while. I thought this was a perfect opportunity to show I its still based on the Cased card.
The papers are My Minds Eye, my leaves are Sizzix die and the flowers are a punch. Perhaps should of left the flowers off, it will be pretty hard to give it to a man now!

This month's case it
It's mine turn to choose a favourite Penny Black card to case at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. So I decided on this one seeing as it was one of faves from last year. Now the way I see if you case-ing a card you taking parts that you want to case. So in this case you have a cat flying, also using blue and green papers you're making the sky and grass. Or it could be the fact I've used a tall card. I shall look forward to checking on everyones card.
I still had to make a card for the challenge this time I've used an old Penny Black stamp which I refer to as my Susan Boyle stamp. The papers are Echo Park Country something thats all I can remember and my picket fence is Martha Stewart.
We have two fabby prizes this week a Teddy PB stamp and mini green Ribbon kit from The Ribbon Girl so do hope you can join us this week and don't forget to check out the team.
Fingers crossed the Snow thats forcast doesn't arrive till we get back from MJ and clears up Sunday so I can get Home!

Spit Happens
Well here's the Baby card in blue that I had to make this week and Mo's Spit Happen ( I feel awful calling the cutest baby ever Spit) made it easy to make.
I'm afraid the papers are scraps, I tend to keep baby blue scrap papers and hope they work together cos I never seem to have enough baby colours especially blue. I used some nestablilies to make to open scallops and I've a Fiskars border punch that nearly matches.
Been practising the rolled roses, these were the best.
Checking the weather cos we're off to MJ's All day crop on Saturday and due to Hubby working looks like we're staying over night at Sis. So will wait and see if there is significant snow falls on Saturday night like they're reporting to whether or not we can get home on Sunday.

London Calling
I know crafters are loving the new Penny Black wanting the double decker bus or the mini but I love the telephone box and its perfect for LIM sketch.
But I still layered my Hedgie inside my box. I have three layers, first it the whole image but I had to cut off the mouse. The next layer is Hedgie and the phone. The top layer I very carefully cut out the windows, one slip of the knife and your window is gone. I then stuck on acetate to give it a look of glass, using sticky fixers stuck on top. The roof was another layer but its from the image that I cut out Hedgie so technically is still three layers!

Less is More Sketch
So I've tried to avoid checking out the entries for LIM before making my card cos I always find cards that I want to case and then it wouldn't be my idea. But I follow some fellow blogs who join in but this card is what I first thought off which is typically me and I'm dead chuff that I managed to cut into some sheets of paper that I've had for ages 2006 in fact since I made a Trash Book with Kirsty Wiseman. Good job the plain colour was teal cos that was the colour of the accent beads I had for the centres.
Now I saw Jenny had made a scene on her strip which I thought was so cute and while I was looking for the floral stamp I used for the first card I saw this old ship stamp and I thought it would make a great scene strip. Now I used a brayer yes I did say brayer but this strip was one of the best and luckily I was able to cut off the awful bit once I stamped the stamp. I then embossed the ship with clear embossing powder the reason for this is I used a technique I saw Kim Reygate demo at Newbury Stamp show years ago. Using neat bleach I painted over the sails and watched the amazing transformation of the blue sails to white.
Then came the arrival of some Penny Black London stamps and I've quickly made a card which I'll post later.
Before I go I want to congratulate to the girls of Less is More Challenge for a whole year of LIM challenges .

WOYWW and Scrapbooking
After putting on winter coat, hat and gloves I ventured into my craftroom to take photos of WOYWW. A badly stamped new image and maybe its hiding another new stamp. I confess I'm addicted to buying stamps but its OK if I use them more than once!
I also took a pic of some cardstock its Ok I don't want you all hyperventilating its the wrong cream but it helped covering the gap that was letting the draught in yesterday but its just too cold today to make much of a difference.
He're some scrapbooking that I finished lately, the first is complement the layout I did for the Scrapbuddies Sketch challenge. I find I prefer doing double layout this way.
I'm really please how many layouts I'm getting out of the Cambridge Bo Bunny papers and all the photos of the two visits to Elvetham Hotel have been used with it.

Here's the two together.
Here's a double layout you, I never very keen of the end result in this case it meant I use the photos I wanted to use.
Happy Birthday Andrea
I'm not saying how old she is cos it makes me look really old. We off to have dinner at the Thai Terrace in Guildford somewhere on top of a car-park sounds awful but gets great reviews pity we're not going in the daytime cos the views are brilliant apparently.
Love is Snoopy
Yep another picture heavy post but I was determined to make another Tri shutter card that actually laid flat and this week at Simon Says Stamps Challenge is for Animal Antics a reason to use my Stampabilities Snoopy stamps.
Love that I can use more than one snoopy stamp in this case I've used Snoopy Driving Woodstock, Snoopy Kisses and Golfing Snoopy.
I made the button with circle punches and using a Cropadile to make button holes and then threaded with twine and got incredible sticky trying to stick the curls down.
Look it folds flat. The papers are My Minds Eye Lime Twist can't wait for the new fab papers being release at CHA.
I just cut some triangles to make the Kite bunting and more sticky fingers for the twine swirls.
Here it is in its entirety, the reason for the sentiments is because when I first met my Hubby he had quite a few Snoopy books and we used to read them together.
Now for a HUGE thank you for all the fabulous entries to last weeks challenge over a Thousand joined in totally amazing. Don't forget there is a brilliant prize for one lucky winner and do check out the amazing creations the team have made.
