18th Birthday

Pretty certain my nephew doesn't check out my blog so I feel it will be OK to show his card I made for him. He is the last of nephew to reach their coming of age birthday, the children in my family are now Great nephew and nieces gosh that makes me feel OLD.
Anyway back to the card of course I had to Mo Manning's Video Boy knew it would be perfect. I've used the First Edition New Leap and the 18 was cut out using the cricut.
But now I stuck with embellishment so I settled for some circles and brown twine with some faux brads.
No WOYWW this week but I leave you with the last rose from our garden, hubby put the garden to bed for the winter and gave me this little bud.

Dress Up Marci

Can't believe its another Wednesday already and that must mean it time for another Simon Says Stamps Challenge.  This week is a sketch from Domi do pop over to the challenge blog to see it and don't forget to check out the team.

Now I've been saving Dress Up Marci from La La Stamps because I knew this challenge was going to be soon and I've coloured her to match the Picadilly papers from Basic Grey. At first I wasn't sure the papers worked but now I love it and the Prima flowers are a perfect finish. Oh yes I have to use punch somewhere so that the Martha Stewart deep edge lattice punch but I cut two and joined them.

blue and white

Time for a Blue and White Challenge this week on Everybody Art Challenge and when I saw this cute darling from Mo Manning I just knew I had to have it for this weeks challenge.
The papers are Nitwits and all the usual embellishments like the Marianne Designs tree, the icicle punch from Martha Stewart along with the snowflakes which you're be pleased to know I've managed to get my hands on a new one. The snowflurries embossing folder and the stampin up punches with a craftwork sentiment.
I just had to use a mixture of fun flock and flower soft for the hat it jus cried out for fluffy stuff.

I should feel on top of the world since I've managed to lose 2 stones in weight officially today but I've been awake since Silly O'clock and really feel 4 hours sleep is just not enough but has soon as I close my eyes I wake up!!!!!!!!!

It's a Girl

The last of the Baby Cards that are needed now this time is a girl one and of course I had to us a Mo Manning image Baby Fariy Kiki.
The papers are Echo Park Country Drive although they're the 12 inch ones. Since Mr Mojo seems to have gone south for the Winter its quite a simple for card, well it is for me.
A touch of my favourite lace which is nearly all gone and some tinky flowers, then the LOTV sentiment.
Now we just have to wait for the baby.
I going to enter this in the Totally Papercrafts Challenge which is for Anything but a Christmas Card.

I've had some questions about My Favourite Five. What its all about is on Christmas Eve I will post my five favourite Christmas cards along with Mr Linky so for all of those of you playing along can enter and Mr Number Generator will pick a winner for the candy I will have on offer on the 30th December.
I will try to link everyone who joined in on the winners post because Mr Linky only allows me one at a time.
So New Years Eve its my favourite five of 2011 and will do the same thing on the 6th January.

another winifred

I thought I had shown Winifred in Red but she is sitting in a draft post so I guess I haven't. Do love how striking red and black are although not typically Christmas Colours.
You've probably guess she is Mo Manning gorgeous image, the papers I had for ages, the Martha Stewart Wrought iron fence border punch and Marianne's poinsettia die.
That's it now more draft posts need to make some cards.

More Trees

Not sure the gem work that well on the double snowflake border but I do love these trees, easy to colour and an absolutely pain to cut out all the different layers.
I've used the Sketch and Stash sketch this week and loads of embossing, the snowflake border is of course Martha Stewart. the Snowflake large embossed mat is Sizzix and the small mat is of course the very hard to find snow flurries from Cuttlebug.
The trees are Magnolia and since I sat one evening and cut out several of these there are more cards to come.
Had a fabulous time at MJ its been ages since we last went to an All day crop, no scrapbooking for me but I do have quite a few images to make cards with now.

Vintage Penny Black

We have a fabulous sketch this Saturday on Penny Black Saturday Challenge from our talented DT member Domi.

I've used an old Penny Black Stamp that I adore and the gorgeous First Edition Isabella papers between the two of them I didn't need to think to hard to make the card.  A couple of butterflies, some pretty pink flowers and two Quickutz corners may job was pretty much done, ok it did take a little longer to layer since it two images really.
I've had to change the sentiment thank goodness for repositionable glue but I needed a Birthday card and I don't have any so quick change and the card was popped into the post for my DH Aunt.

I'm off to MJ's All Day Crop although not scrapbooking taking all my pencils, loads of images to do some colouring another secret project has turned up and needs to be finished by Christmas Eve so having plenty of coloured images will free some time up.

Spit Happens

Well here's the Baby card I've made recently just one more to go and I adore Mo Mannings babies so they're a joy to work with, this little darling is called Spit Happens.
I've also used this week Sweet Sketch Wednesday and the papers are First Edition but can't find the pack with the name found the loose paper I had choosen to make the card wonder where its gone!
Although I think I could get away with using flowers just doesn't seem right so I used stars which I think works a treat. The sentiment is Lily of Valley.
Remember last year I did My Five Favourite cards for Christmas and 2011, well this year I plan to to do the same. I've had a go to make my own blinkie and my efforts are very poor but its the best I can do.

Told you they're rubbish but you get the idea, I will post my favourite Christmas Cards on Christmas Eve and draw a prize on 30th December and 2011 will be post on New Years Eve and again draw a prize the following Friday.

Christmas Fairy Holly

I may have to photo this again since I've taken it with the room light on and its pitch black outside and a lot of help from photoshop. Ok changed photo only marginally better!
I've used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and the fabulous Authentique papers, I've also cut  a strip of the front of the card so the holly border a really old fiskars border punch overlaps the edge over the green gingham that stuck down on the inside of the card.
You can't go wrong with a gorgeous Mo Manning digi image and this Christmas Fairy Holly is no exception.  I've decided to keep embellishments simple and just a bit of ribbon and Martha Stewart Holly Punch.
So far I've made a baby card and two Christmas cards and cut out several magnolia trees.

Green WOYWW

 So this was the sight of my desk this WOYWW and I don't remember leaving it with those bottles all in straight line. I remember grabbing the fun flock thinking it was glamour dust obviously didn't put it back and I used the liquid pearls on a DT card for next week.
Notice my stickles are in empty cocktail sticks pots, I used several cocktail sticks when layering my images and I buy them from poundland you get loads. The plan is to get the very last drop of glitter out those bottles.
Thats also a Kars snowflake punch I'm sorry I love my Martha Stewart Glacier punch and I don't think anything can replace it so I will have to get a new one.

 So the green in my title is for the Less is More Challenge, I wish I was clever like several of entries with these CAS cards but I'll have settle for my lack of imagination cards. The first one is Inkadinkado called Winter Trails and the sentiment is from a Stampin Up set that I won at Nikki's Stampin Up Workshop's raffle.
I hate to confess but since I had so much trouble to get the clear stamp to stamp I reckon that even though I've had the set for ages it's never been used. The way I got it to work by the way is to use Versamark before inking worked a treat.

Another stamp I had quite a while and maybe used it once but this PaperMania stamp is huge but I still think its gorgeous. I have cut out and layer the baubles and the reason the glamour dust is out I smothered the baubles in it. I waited till the silicone I use is almost set that way the wet glue for the dust doesn't distend the shape when it dries.
Enough waffle get back to Craftroom, I've two baby cards to make, one 18th and couple of Birthday cards and I still have 8 Christmas cards to make.

Photo Inspired

Its Wednesday already so its time for another Simon Says Stamps challenge and this week its Photo Inspired courtesy of Pinterest.

Having rediscovered my Sarah Kay stamps I found this little darling from Stampavie called Noel the papers are the gorgeous First Editon Isabella. The deep edge Doily punch got an outing for the border round the oval and the snowflakes are MFT. Cuttlebug corners and the Ek success elegant flourish punch, the sentiment is Penny Black.

So I was just wondering what happened nine months ago  because I have not one but another two baby cards to make!!!!!

Snowbaby

So its sketch time at Everybody Art Challenge and just maybe I've a few too many snowflakes. The cute snowbaby is from a digi from Cuddly Buddly I think its Karen Middleton design but please don't hold me to that.
The papers are Echo Park from last year only just able to cut into them and the sentiment is Penny Black. The snowflakes are MFT and I even doodled round the mats, just a bit of flower soft to finish off the hat.

card for Ruby

I had to interrupt making the last few Christmas Cards for a baby card, my DD friend has just had a little girl. I printed out some Mo Mannings babies and she wanted Kai in snow which it adorable and new to me so I was pleased.
The papers are First Edition I think Love Letters, flowers out of my stash and the swirl is MFT which I have  cut to suit. Martha Stewart Trellis punch and my favourite lace, I also discovered I had some pearl white liquid pearls which I used for the snow and a little bit of flower soft to finish.
Our Christmas trip to MIL has now been done, most of my cards are written and ready to go except the few I still need to make and I'm having a couple of quiet days to recover.

It's a Pirate's Life

It was my nephew's Birthday on Thursday and now I'm sure he's had my card I can now show it on my blog.
Yes its another Side Step card, I can't help it now that I found out how easy they are to make I have to make them.
Obviously you can see that its a pirate's scene, I've used High Hopes ship, Pirate and Palm tree. The map and barrels are Magnolia but they worked a treat with the High hopes stamps.

The papers are Echo park but not sure of the collection possible Summer Days. I used the EK success scroll and dot border punch a couple of time for the sea. The number and words are actually stickers.

The latest challenge on the High Hopes Challenge is numbers I think this would work and hope they forgive me for using magnolia for some of the images.
Jake had a Star Wars fancy dress party and his Uncle Tim (my nephew) came as Chewbacca!

New home

Totally out of my comfort zone with this New Home card. DD needed one quickly and this is what I managed come up with.
I paper pieced the Hero Arts house, not sure of the papers they're some in a left over pile of Cosmo Cricket I think.
Love my Martha Stewart Picket fench border, the tinky flowers are an old do crafts punch and the leaves are the Martha Stewart snowflake which has seen better days.
I felt the the top of the card looked plain and even though I have this thing about white and cream together (can't stand black and navy together either) but I confess that the white clouds look OK
.

White Out

The new challenge this week on Penny Black Saturday Challenge is for White Out and I had so much fun making this card.
No matching or turning papers to see what works just a case of trying to stop putting too much on the card.
Of course I used a Penny Black stamp this time a slapstick one with some cute mice. Now its a case of what I didn't use but bear with me this could be a long list.
Martha Stewart around the page punch which if you look carefully you will see the join where I cut it down so the card will fit in 152mm envie. Also I used both the picket fence and icicle border punches again from Martha Stewart. The cuttlebug snow flurries embossing folder and the stripey embossing folder is Stampin Up. My favourite Christmas tree die from Marianne again I used the the snow flurries to emboss them and the Martha Stewart snowflake which is now so tempermental I think I will need a new one for next year. Still with me well finally the stamping up oval punches and sentiment, phew sounds a lot but it took less time to make this card then some of the others I make.

For a Modern Day Bride

Ok I confess that these Saturated canary digi images are not among my favourites and this is person who likes Tilda but I did see a couple on blogs that I thought were fabulous so I checked out the site and found this gorgeous bride and I simply had to buy her, Ok a couple of others too.
I've used the Friday Sketch Challenge and apart from the dotty paper which I have no idea where it from I've kept it quite simple.
The divine swirls for the main white mat and the fleur de lis hinge brackets are Tim Holts from sizzix perfect for the sketch.
The cuttlebug corners and roses from Wild Orchid finish with some sparkle on her dress. There is a light grey shadow at the bottom of dress obviously need to make it a bit darker if I make her again.

Christmas Hedgie

So its Sketch Week on Papertake Weekly and a good excuse to make another Christmas card. I love this Penny Black Hedgie stamp and he doesn't take much to colour and layer another bonus.
The papers are Holly Jolly from Echo Park  and yes thats Martha Stewart Picket fench punch again can't help using it.
The main white mat is embossed with a craft concepts embossing folder and the corners are quickutz. Snowflakes are Martha Stewart again and my poor small one is really struggling. The sentiment is stampin up teeny tiny wishes that fit in word strip punch.
Well I having to blog and run at the moment just need to get this weekend over and hopefully it will be less stressful and I can get to the big day relaxed and ready to enjoy the day!

A Fairy for Thursday

I've taken the a photo of this card so many times because the camera wouldn't pick up on the beautiful colours of these papers and finally get one that doesn't look half bad I find the sentiment has slipped!
I can assure you now its back in its right position.
I love Mo Manning's fairies each one is so gorgeous and Teen Fairy Mia is no exception and she is so easy to colour and layer.
The papers are First Edition Isabella which are gorgeous hardly any I don't like so I need another pack!
The sketch is Sketch Saturday for this week and I used a sizzix daisy die from Stampin up  with some pearls and stickles for sparkle to finish.
Had another day of shopping yesterday so taking it easy today.
