Dream Team Blog Hop

When I saw the theme Mo's Blog Hop from Anneke for Seniors I decided to use this Chubby Fairy 3 since it was already coloured and ready to be made into a card. It's only since that I thought maybe she wasn't such a senior fairy but when I checked the seniors catergory at Mo's shop I discovered Chubby Fairy 1 and since number 3 fairy is from the same set I think I might just get away with it.
The papers are from Kaiser and very green. I pretty certain the sketch is from somewhere and the MFT grass and punched flowers were my add on to the sketch. I used the crochet die for round my image and the Hayden Twigs from Memory box have gold and white pearls on. Wouldn't be my card if there wasn't a bit of ribbon on somewhere.

Bling It On !!! ,,, time to PARTY !!

I sort of cheated here, for a change I wanted to use any image but a Christmas one and I adore the sweet Pure Innocence Make a Wish image from MFT but there wasn't much to bling up and I made the glitter card posted earlier after my DT card. But I used glitter on her dandelion and her heart slide and the centre of my flower and added some gems.
My papers are Pebbles Front Porch and I used the Flat Bottomed Clouds from Simon Says Stamps. I wanted to use the Whimsy flowers from Simon Says Stamps  more than once but it just overpowered the card yet one worked fine.
The sentiment is one that came with the Pure Innocence image but I used the Simon Says Stamps Tilted Banners as you can see it worked a treat. To get the blue mat behind I used the die to draw round and cut out and tidied the end with scissors.

Sparkly Tree

Sorry a bit late this morning so I'll be quick so I can publish asap. My card this morning was for the CAS251 Bling Up challenge on SplitcoastStampers. It just so happened that I've a pot of Tim Holtz Distress Glitter on my desk and I decided to make the glitter strips with double sided tape.
Then it was a case of what to put on the rest of the card, decided to use the Whimsy embossing folder and to see if liquid pearls would look ok on the dots as you can see they turned out fine.
Then I decided to use the layered tree from Simon Says Stamp which I've only used once. I ran my branches through the tiny xyron so it was sticky and added the glitter.
Spent the rest of the day wearing glitter though.

Its a Girl

Well this is the last challenge on Everybody Art Challenge till the 7th January and its for a card thats not for Christmas so muggins here cheated a bit.
I actually chosen Kai in the Snow by Mo Manning for my main image since I was asked for a new baby girl card. I thought I could get away with using this image since its for a December baby.
I then used pretty pink paper from LOTV and then pink flowers for the kraft Lavish Branch from Memory box. For my hearts I used two different dies from Memory Box, the hanging hearts which I cut off the hearts and the bow is actually from their mittens die with the mittens cut off.
The sentiment is the baby die and stamp set from Simon Says Stamps

Drummer Boy

I made this card thinking of the Less is More Challenge of 12 days of Christmas (drums) but I'm not sure its CAS enough or have I pushed the theme a bit far. The heart embossing looks OK in real life but now it looks too much against the heart LOTV paper from nitwits.
The layout is cased from one of the fabulous blogs I follow Where's my Creativity but in hindsight I should of raised my heart paper.
Of course the little chap is a LOTV one of their baby stamps couldn't resist. The baby die is from Simon Says Stamps along with the welcome sentiment.

Sorry about the awful photo but it dark all day yesterday and it had to be taken with the light on.

Holiday Wishes

I only had one more Hedgie left and I found the red patterned paper already cut down and stuck on a white cards so I combined the two by adding the Memory box scallop strip and red card. Then I stuck my image down over it.

The zigzag paper is hiding the stamped sentiment that I stamped really badly so I tried again and it did it in exactly with the same words which is why there is now a fish tail banner with the Simon Says Stamps stamp sentiment from their December kit. I discovered it was the bow preventing it to stamp properly.

I placed the MFT fence before layering the Penny Black Hedgie to balance the design a bit.

It doesn't look too bad since it was made up leftovers and cover ups.

A Penny Black for Saturday

Still going through my Christmas images just as well I've discovered I'm using an old Christmas card list and several people are missing. Finding inspiration is hard though with but I saw the Mojo Monday sketch and knew I could use one of  these little chaps I obviously was batch colouring last year.
The papers are the Penny Black pack and I used my nestabilites for the image mat. The Merry Christmas sentiment was using Simon Says Stamps Merry Christmas die and stamp set.
To stop my white mat being too plain I once again used the Simon Says Stamps Falling Snow template for my liquid pearls snow.

Sledding

I've decided to go through all my coloured Christmas images to make sure I start the new year with none left and I can't believe Anyu and Nanook were in that pile. I love this colourway too using the LOTV papers and kraft card.
I've used the Sketch and Stash sketch but the mat through centre I've turned into snowflakes but not sure I've got the angle right for the sketch.The snowflakes are Joy dies with a MFT die  for the centres and the corners which weren't in the sketch are Joy has well, a case have them must use them sometimes.
Just realised its Friday the 13th off to hide for the day.

Its in the box

First of all I need to apologise for all the fun flock on my little lad, I always used a paintbrush to knock off the whatever it left but in my hurry to photo I obviously forgot didn't help that I've recently topped up the fun flock and flower soft mixture.
Fairly simple card just some poinsettia to decorate, I think they could be the Marianne ones and gold pearls to finish them. My little chap is of course a Mo Manning called Santa Kai and I've paper pieced the parcel. Which is easy to do, when I resize the image to what suits my cards I save the image as word document so its easy then to find for next time. Then I print on a piece of paper and then use tape runner to stick the piece of patterned card stock over where I need to paper piece and pop it back in the printer to reprint. For this card its what brings it all together.

Let It Snow   

i.e snowfall, snowflakes, snowmen ,,, you get the idea :-)

I'm pretty sure I used a sketch from Splitcoast Stampers but when I went to check it seems they have a bit of problem at the moment so will try later.

It looks quite a busy card but actually it not, the borders are Frostyville from Memory Box which I cut out two on for each side of main mat. The blue mat is Authentique  and the snow panel is using  Spellbinders curve border.
Of course my little bear and hedgie are Penny Black Hand Mailed which I actually cut out so I could place it where I wanted on my card.

Yes I did use the Falling snow Stencil from Simon Says Stamps but only to make the where the snow will go and then hid the dots I made with a pencil with Liquid Pearls and you must be fed up with the sentiment since its once again from Merry Trees.

Snow is Falling

I saw a fabulous card on Pinterest and I knew I could make the snowing background without ink, just use the Simon Says Stamps Falling Snow stencil with some embossing paste. The hardest thing was to not touch it till it was dry.

The it was a case of using a Spellbinder to take out the middle of the card to layer over the top and then just added some Memory Box dies. The sentiment on the first card is of course from Simon Says Stamps Merry Trees and the second one is from their Holiday Labels set.

Family Snowpeople

Time for a new challenge on Everybody Art and this week its a sketch which I love. Using some Nitwits download papers in my favourite Christmas colours and LOTV snowpeople everything slipped into place.

I used the Floral Oval because it always frames the image beautifully. Snowflakes are punches, the larger one Martha Stewart and tiny one a Do-crafts.

The sentiment is Simon Say Stamps from their Merry Trees set which seems to be permanently on my desk, the centre is punched from 1 1/2 circle punch but I used a nestabilities for the red mat.

Metal Monday

Sssshhhh I'm suppose to be resting but I wanted to have a go with the Less is More challenge of Metallic and one colour and I got a bit carried away. First using an Inklicious tree stamp and silver embossing powder.

 I've had this Holly stamp for years and it rarely gets used and I can't part with it. But I used it with gold embossing powder on Green

 Also on Red, think I prefer the red.

Silver again on a light blue but something has happened to the silver colour, oh yes that would be the camera.

It just so happened that this stamp Hero Arts stamp flew onto my craft desk from Simon Says Stamps and it said use me, so I did, this time with copper embossing powder, strange that the copper pearlescent paper is looking gold!

Pretty quick cards the hardest part was tidy up the mess I made.

My little Star scrapbooking

I'm scheduling my post this morning I always suffer when we return from MIL and need a few rest days. A bit of scrapbooking for a change.
My inspiration for this layout not only my favourite pic of my son when he was little was the acetate overlay that I found when moving my craftroom.
I simply placed over white card and stuck it where I knew my photo would be, simples.
Then I just used an Echo Park collection pack, sorry don't know the name. I was also inspired by a layout or a sketch from Pinterest and I really should make more of note of where it derived from. With 836 layouts and 598 sketches I couldn't find it sorry.
