Pink Baby Shower

Well this is the first morning that I've written a post so fingers cross this will work. I've been asked for a baby shower card and we know a lot of Pink will be involved.
With Mo's Baby Shower image there was no worries what image to use. I'm not sure my card worked out that well. I seem to have lost my way a bit or it could be that I've been catching up with my blog list and seen some amazing creations and mine just doesn't come up to that standard.
The papers could Echo Park and the fence and grass dies are from MFT and the large corner is a Joy die which I added twice cos I thought the yellow was a bit bright. The hanging hearts are Memory Box and the sentiment is from Stamping Up.
Not sure I'll get any crafting today I go swimming later and I get tired, tomorrow I'm going to MJ's all day crop so I need to get my stuff sorted out which it probably all I will have energy for but we will wait and see.

Sugar Plum Fairy

Its time for the Dream Team to Blog Hop and what a perfect week when Mo has 20% off in her shop you just need a coupon code which you can find on the home page of her shop, there's lots of new designs too.

Mmmmm I sort of cheated using the Little Sugar Plum Fairy although a Sugar Plum is made with fruit, dried fruit to be precise rolled in a plum shape coated with sugar. Well at least the web page I looked at said it did. Has much as I love my Strawberry girl I've only used this cute Fairy once and she needed to be used again and Christmas Card is one less to make.
So out came my favourite Christmas tree die from Marianne, the white poinsettia from Spellbinders and the fence from Impression Obsession. Papers are a download from Nitwits.
Colouring the image Monochrome somehow makes the card look so elegant and The Little Sugar Plum Fairy just needed some fairy dust (glamour dust) to finish her off.
Now it wouldn't be right not to have a moan but thank you Mr Camera because my pearls are just not that colour!

MONOCHROMATIC

I was really please how my card turned out once I decided to frame the snowmen it all fell into place.
The papers are Christmas Cheer from Lilybee designs and the Snowmen are Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes. Had great fun adding mouths, moustaches and pipes. You get all the tiny details so make you Snowdudes original to you.
To make the Village scene behind the Snowdudes I've used Memory Box Country Landscape which is out of stock at the moment but if you have even the Modern or even the Evergreen Landscape both would work just as good.
I cut the frame using a Square Nestabilitie but cut the out side to my requirements then I finished off using
To finish a sentiment using the Holidays Apothecary labels stamp and die set and a couple of Small Forest Tree both from Simon Say Stamps Exclusive die and stamps.

Janey's Carnation

There was sketch on challenge I fancied doing and I have this fabulous Carnation/Dianthus Digi from Janey's Designs and thought it was perfect.
It was bit fiddly with all the layers and I used a Spellbinder die to ink inside the to give a simple card more depth.
Then I used a sentiment and the sketch went out the window I preferred it this way and I wasn't convince that was all it needed. Found a strip of Pink and I had to have a bit of ribbon but decided to make a flat bow so in case it would fit in normal post.

Hubby has asked for a card for the lady who is having their 98th Birthday I think this one will work.
Well Mr Virgin has improved but he still like dropping out just to remind me he's not perfect but Hubby had a couple days off work so we've been out and about. So I should be able to gauge how bad he really is.
Meanwhile my post for the new Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge is schedule so back at 2pm

Hedgie Christmas

I love paying for an awful internet connection maybe I should contact Mr Branson and complain, the advert with the race is annoying me when yet again I'm having to ring to complain. So thats the reason that my posts are being schedule since my connection drops in and out. 

I've had my moan now to the cards, these Hedgies have been coloured since last Christmas so I thought I would use them up rather than keep colouring more.

Some simple layouts to put the chaps on with some favourite embellishments, my Martha Stewart Holly Punch and Spellbinders Poinseittia dies. The sentiment in the first one is from Penny Black too, be warned I think it may be used a lot this Christmas

here's a cute challenge on Winter Wonderland Challenge and since the Christmas is fast approaching time to get myself organised I thought I would start to join in.

Numbers

Well I'm not convinced but Mr Virgin is suppose to be working properly so I'm making sure I schedule my posts while he's working.
Last week I missed out on a Less is More challenge my energy levels have disappeared and the thought of trawling through rather a lot of stash to find papers and ink to match the colour challenge sent them plummeting even farther. So I was determined that I was joining in this week and found it was a One Layer card YUCK.
Anyway the first thought when I saw it was Numbers was a train blowing them out and I wanted to do something fairly quick. Then I remember the Stampin Up train which has been long retired coloured in white on Kraft but decided to add a bit of red.
The numbers were tricky I had loads of small Alphabets but no numbers but eventually did find some. Added a Penny Black sentiment, they were all stamped in Versamark and then used white embossing powder.
Can I just add that my Bakers Twine is straight and I couldn't earth the train in case I made a mess of it.

G-Fa Giraffe

I decided to schedule this post since it looks like I have half a decent internet connection, Mr Virgin has be having one of his days or should I say weeks.
So I needed a RSVP but Thank you so Much card is just as good and I know at least one of the couple this was sent to loves Giraffes.
Of course this amazing image is from Mo called G-Fa Giraffe and he is perfect for a cute but not tooo cute Giraffe. He was quite easy to colour.
I kept it quite simple just some spotty paper with a flat bow and the sentiment is from Penny Black.

Hedgie Hearts

So lets see if Mr Virgin lets me post this correctly every morning he seems to play up and I'm pretty sure the fault is in the box, they fix it and them the enginneers batters the box to try and close it, probably damaging the repair. Basically it need a new box told them that years ago when my phone kept breaking down. 

So far so good so lets get onto my card so its Saturday well I think it is so its time for my Penny Black card. Trying to use some of my enormous collection so what do I do I use a new one that fell in my basket from an online store that had a few on Sale.

I think really he is a Valentine Hedgie but I still think he looks cute and I used a favourite sentiment from Penny Black at least that is an old one in my collection.

The sketch is from The Friday Sketch Challenge although I've put a curved on the mat going across the middle. Just added some flowers which is the Upsey Daisy from MFT and the leaf with swirl die I think is from them too. Papers are Pebbles but I've two packs which have no mixed together so not sure which is which.

Now for one at the jaunty angle.

Reusing Sarah Kay Part One

Well I'm not sure what happened yesterday but I published my post at a time when Mr Virgin kept dropping out till it went out altogether and somehow it never got published till I realised much later in the day. So fingers cross he behaves this morning.

Remember my Tri Shutter card that wouldn't stand that found its way in the bin well here's one of the girls I saved and turned it into a another card.

I've still used the Authentique Renew papers and the sketch is from The Sketchy Challenge and I used the Joy Butterflies Border. I had been searching for the butterflies for ages and ended up buying it from e-Bay.

The flowers are Bella Bloom from Simon Says Stamp and the Birthday sentiment is Stampin Up along with the punches for it.

Well a bit of migraine yesterday pretty much left me tired all day so never made it to my craftroom not sure what I'm up to doing today but I reckon I cold at least use the other Sarah Kay.

Not just for Valentine

Can you believe that I found this sweet image all coloured and hiding onto of some stuff on shelve and the scary thing is she was probably there since February. Although to give myself some credit it was mixed in the bundle. I do think the box of hearts etc works fine for a Birthday because no where is written Valentine.

The sketch is suppose to be CLP but my fishtail strip should of been on the red dotty paper so I will just have to go back to the drawing board and make another card.

Papers are from LOTV I have two pack that are similar and they have now found each other and are mixed together. Flowers are CC Designs and the hanging hearts are Memory Box the papers for them I found them in my stash lucky for me it worked with the others. The sentiment is Simon Says Stamps Exclusive banners.

Well yesterday I had more blond put in my hair so my grey looks natural! Today I have a fun visit to the Doctor which I've put off and should have gone last month.

Triangles

I'll be honest I didn't have a clue what to do and just allow things to flow and this is what I made! You should of seen the mess I made I must have had nearly every die I own out.
So to start with I needed to use The Crafters workshop items which I had two one was the Mini Dot Square Template which I brought because it is nearly 6inches and the dots are in the scallop square. I don't own extra large dies or a machine that you can use them in and this template means I can draw round and cut out the large scallop.
The other template I have is Mini Punchinella and ran that through my big shot to emboss. I cut out the strip  I was using which was the hexagons. Now all my layers was a bit too white so lots of inking to try and bring it all together.
I always knew I was going to cheat slightly and use the MFT Banner Day die for my triangles, just imagine the top bits are not there! The patterned paper is from American Crafts.

So what was I going to do with the rest of the card Hexagons to me mean Bumble Bees and I do love the one from Circle Friends from Simon Says Stamp but what else. Initially I decided on one flower but why have one, when you can have three. I used the Flower Friend die set to cut out the flowers and leaves and I used the Flower Friend stamps set for the middle of the flower and for the leaves.
I now wish the challenge wasn't for triangles cos I think it would look striking without the banners but I used the Happy die to direct your eye and made a fish tail banner for the Birthday. Time to step away from the card.

So Sorry

I had to make one of these cards for a Friend who has recently lost her best friend. I brought the So Sorry set from Stampin Up cos it had this last sentiment and then you could add various additions and in this case is had a perfect one.
The flower branch is also Stampin Up, and I used the Mosaci Madness punch because it is a much more delicate size. I cut both ends and then I the spotty paper a bit smaller to give me a border.
Now I have to find something wrong and I should of move the sentiment over to the right but at the time I wasn't sure how I was going to layout the card and this way it gave me more options.

The Thundering Rogue

With such a large image the only way to use it is to go CAS, the stamp is from High Hopes but not sure if its still available ( edited yes he is still available). 

It longs like there is lots of layering but honesty there is no more than usual but what is tricky it cutting out the window and the gaps in the sails. I make sure my cutting knife is sharp and not blunt, also I have a glass cutting mat which makes life so much easier when using a cutting knife. Originally I had a kitchen one you just have to make sure it smooth but after the years and lots of cutting it had grooves which my knife got stuck in so now I have a X cut one.

I also have an old skull and crossbones die from Cuttlebug it belonged to their childrens selection which again I think is no more but its a great finishing touch.

Merging again

Remember my card using Sk8tr Girl well I decided she needed a friend and he is called Simon you can find both of them in Mo's Shop just click on their names.
So I've used the sketch on Sketch Saturday having missed a few I was determined to have a go and all in all apart from the layers a quick card.
The papers are Here and Now from Echo Park and I used word page to make the embellishment in the corner. Also I made a pinwheel instead of a flower.

Of course it wouldn't be right if I didn't moan about something but the camera paper was in the pack already crooked so when I cut it without looking it stayed crooked. I did try and faux stitch in a straight line and my doodle chervons are a bit drunk but hey its a handmade card you don't want it too perfect.!!!!
