Happy 3rd Birthday EAC

Everybody Art  is three years old gosh it really doesn't seem that long but it is and we're celebrating with a Blog Hop so hopefully you've arrived here from Anusch and make sure you use Mr Linky to win the little Birthday candy I have although I've yet to photo.

But to the actually challenge which is for A Gift my heart always dips, I much more a cardmaker or Scrapbooker but determined to make something I've always admire on other blogs. A tealight card so I followed the tutorial on Lena blog and because my tea light were bright orange I decided to use the My Minds Eye Girl Friday papers to match them.

The sentiment is Butterfly Kisses I've had for ages and my fave flower punches and doo hickey swirl.

Have photo the candy some stamps that maybe aren't new new but they've never  been used and I'll pop some ribbon and some flowers in too.

Baby Flora Fairy

You can't go wrong with a Mo Manning's image and this adorable baby fairy is no exception. I used a sketch from Hanna and friends not sure it was going to work but I slipped in a bit of ribbon and an extra flower and I'm really please how it finished.
The papers are Kaiser Magic Happiness which is just as gorgeous as the pack I used yesterday. A square scallop nestie which I rarely use but have be trying to use more.
My Holiday scrapbook is finished, never did get the chance to actually do any new Scrapbook but I have printed my fave photos of Niece's wedding of a couple of years ago but I plan to use different papers and not the same ones like my holiday book so I shouldn't get fed up with them.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday Penny Black

Oh I love these Kaisier papers and using black mats making even more striking, I must try not to buy another pack.
Love how by using the Sweet Sketch Wednesday this card came together so quickly. I've used Martha Stewart Doily punch I only use now if I know I'm using white otherwise I use the deep edge doily one and cute it in half, this is because I find the deep edge it not so tempermental as the original one.
Used nesties with the Penny Black image and I was over the moon when I found that I had two of the same button, their a bit bulky but I think they're perfect.
The scrapbooking is going OK I did want to finish the book yesterday so I could actually scrapbooking other photos or join in with Shimille cybercrop but I still have a page to put a title on and journalling and realise I still have one page to actually make.  So I'm on target to finish it today.

Baby Hedgie

Well its a touchy feely challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week so lots of texture on your cards. I have some Kaiser Lullaby papers including a loving velvet type paper which I thought would be perfect.
It was blue so it had to be a baby boy card which I often use this cute hedgie for. I cut down the Martha Stewart punch around the page set and the deep edge doily punch for round the main mat. I added the bit of lace which is already gathered which I brought from a seller on e-bay and a bit of ribbon to finish. The flowers are EK sucess.
All in all a very simple card but I'm really please how it turned out.

Well this weekend is  for Scrapbooking, I am going to finish my Las Vegas/LA book its been a struggle this week to get up to date so that I can keep this weekend clear.

Gosh I'm cutting it fine with my Less is More card, this wasn't my original idea but when I saw the stamp I was going to use it was going to take longer than I thought so I wasn't going to join in.
Then I was searching for a border punch for my Sister and found it at Sir Stampalot, I couldn't just leave it at that. So this fabulous Molly Blooms Christmas Post Box fell into my basket. I thought it wouldn't take long to colour especially if I use copics. No it would've been quickier with my pencils.
I have layered it and cut out the letter slot, although its not that obvious. The card is from Craftwork cards and the sentiment which will used quite a lot in the next few months is from Stampin Up.
I'm also entering it into the Cute Card Thursday just in case I'm too late.

One Today

I think is the last special card I have to make this one is for a friend of my daughter's little boys birthday. I knew when I saw Mo Manning's blog post of this little boy I had just had to have him for this card and my DD totally agreed.
The papers are First Edition Up Up Away and the sketch is from the Pink Ink Challenge which again was perfect for the card I had in mind.
Stars were made with scraps left over from other cards and I used the fiskars water threading punch and stuck a bit of the green paper underneath.
Lucky for me my DD loves so now I just need to put together her present and I can get back to making cards.

Totally Gorjuss Tilda

So on my quest for finding challenges with sketches I found that Totally Gorjuss Challenge has a sketch this week. I decided to use Tilda since she has been coloured up for a while and just needed the right sketch.
The papers are Love Letters by First Edition and I used a Fiskars border punch to match the nestie.
The sentiment is Lily of Valley and the flowers are out of my stash.
My plans for a scrapbooking weeking is falling foul still have a couple of DT to do but least I've the special card my DD asked for made just needs a insert. I've also got to sort out her cross-stitching which she wants mounted in a frame but at least thats washed and ready to be mounted.

All in White

We've gone All White on Simon Says Stamps Challenge and I had great fun making this card. Out came all the those Martha Stewart punches.

I used the Cherry Blossom set and the Cherish set with the Swiss Dot embossed mats, the deep edge doily punch was used for round the oval mat behind Tilda and the flowers are using Cornflower punch but finish with a circle punch.
The clouds are MFT and then run through the bug using divine swirl folder.
But this isn't a card because I didn't want it to go on a white card, so I photo it on an easel for the Challenge blog and then I put it on a RED card.

If I was making this card not for the challenge the ribbon would have been red too. Do hope you can join us this week cos this was so much fun. Don't forget we have an amazing prize for someone.

Summer

It's a Summer on Everybody Art Challenge and I just knew I wanted to use this Penny Black stamp. The papers funny enough are called Summer from Echo Park.
Then out came all the usual suspects, the doo hickey swirl from Magnolia, the EK sucess retro flower, the quickutz corners. The craftwork sentiments with the stampin up punches and finally the bit of ribbon.

Teenager's Dream

Blasted internet I've on and off connection all morning, it keeps resetting and annoying me. Its been doing that for nearly a week yet the service status says there's nothing wrong.
Anyway here an extra card for today, its using the latest Sketch and Stash challenge and I won the last one how brilliant was that.
I've used First Edition Love Letters papers with one of Mo Manning fabulous digi image this one is called between. Ideal for those girlie teens, the sentiment is High Hopes and yes that would be the Martha Stewart Deep Edge doily punch, I just can't help it.

Pete's Card

So today one of my brothers has reached the grand old age of 60 and I made a card using the only pic I had of him when he was little. It was taken from an grainly scan I had taken of the original that had my family up to that point. Which is why the photo of my chicken pox brother is awful made worst by then actually photo the card.
But it did get the response that I was after when I gave the card to him yesterday, when we met up for small celebration at his home.
The papers are Kaiser Up Up and Away collection nice and grungy  and I just cut out some balloons for embellishments quite pleased how it turned out. I going to enter the card in the Anything Goes challenge on Papertake Weekly.
I have yet another special card to make this week for my DD who wants a Baby's 1st Birthday card, I've already coloured the image just need to use it.

Roses

Quite an easy challenge on Lily of the Valley this week of Roses well it is if you have roses in your stash and I'll put my hand up and confess I've a few.
I used this little cutie from the new girlie collection and the papers are Victoria Garden by Echo Park ( I checked with the Echo Park website now I've got to have the Happy Days papers) back to the card. Possibly used too many colours.
Now I've noticed you can't see the pink curly things could be just as well because I orginally saw it on my Simon Says Stamps team-mates Mandy's card and I just had to have them but not sure I can do it justice come to that not sure I group the roses that well together either. They are a Marianne die and I found them here.
I had a fabulous day yesterday, lots of food and giggling. I managed to stick the last of the photos on papers and just have to put titles and embellies on and the Las Vegas/LA book is finished or so I thought when I put them in the album I noticed I still had one more page to do. But next weekend its going to be finished.
A big thank you to Scrapsy, I was admiring the ribbon roses she was using on her gorgeous mini book and she gave me a strip, now these babies are not cheap and not sure I will ever be able to use it just admire it for several weeks.
Today I shall recover for a bit before going over to my brother's house for nibbles and cake to celebrate his birthday tomorrow.

Penny Black Anything Goes

Its Anything Goes on Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week and I thought it was about time I got this uninked stamps that I've had for absolutely ages got used.
She is a big girl but not in an obese way but the size of stamp so I let her take over the card. Just a few embellishments and of course a bit of ribbon to finish.
Now I'm pretty certain that this is the 1st Saturday of the month and I believe theres a prize from The Ribbon Girl but I'll check when I get back from Scrapbooking Crop.
At least I won't be smelly, the plummer has replaced the shower since we've been have cold or boiling hot showers for weeks.

When I was on the High Hopes Team I was extremely lucky to have such a generous boss and I still remember the UPS man delivery my first package of High Hopes stamps I was in heaven..
Anyway the problem is when I use High Hopes stamps I always go for my favourites out each new release and its becoming clear I don't have the room to keep them all.
I never had to purchase so it only seems far to give some away. So if you fancy this bundle of High Hopes Halloween stamps, sorry there's quite a few and I don't have the time to photo them individually just add your name to Mr Linky and I draw it next Friday 12th.

Sweet Ballerina

So the best thing about Mr Mojo feeling a bit lost means I get out all my favourite things so that would be my punches and a fabulous sketch this time from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
The papers are First Edition not sure which one but I think it could be Birdsong and the digi image is from Paper Shelter but she was dancing on a toadstool with a rabbit near by. Now if I was really clever I could probably photoshopped them out but as it was I just cut her out. There's a challenge at Paper Shelter for flowers I think my card ticks that box.
I've used the deep edge doily punch for round the oval and the deep edge punch can't remember what its call but I think it looks like a garden fench. EK success funky flowers and Quickutz corners. Just needed a bit of ribbon and job done.
I finally made that special mans card and I'm quite please how it turned out but can't showing till his Birthday.
Couple of cards to make today and some scheduling of tomorrows post cos I'm out scrapbooking at MJ's All day crop in Thatcham. Still several pages left of LA to make and few to finish.

What another Christmas card

So this is the first card I made in my craftroom for nearly a week and I used the Sketch Saturday sketch this week. Because Mr Mojo wasn't quite with us I stuck close to the sketch except for a couple of snowflakes that are hiding a dirty mark and promptly hides the icicle border.
The papers are the new First Edition Christmas Joy I brought from The Range at the weekend there is another new pack too but I wasn't keen on several of the pages and there is quite a few in this pack that probably won't get used.
The image is from Sugar Nellie its the one that was later released and I just had to have it. All in all pretty pleased how it turned out.

WOYWW and Stampin Up

Not much happening on my WOYWW in fact I haven't played in my craftroom since Thursday, I should be having withdrawal symptoms but if you read my blog regularly you will know a busy week usually means a couple of days to get over it.  We also having a mini heatwave down her in the SouthEast and I so don't do extreme weather. I believe it comes to end tonight with heavy rain if the Beeb are to be believed then I shall be moaning that I don't do rain.
 A few cards to show, my friend Nicki had a Stampin Up workshop on Friday but tiredness was already setting in so I apologise in advance for dodgy stamping and crooked layering, Nicki's were far more professional.

I resisted the circle stamps and by golly it was hard Nicki had made some gorgeous layouts using these stamps but my DD couldn't resist so thats OK I shall be borrowing them. I didn't resist the sentiments since Nicki constantly uses them and they are fabulous even when you make a mess of it when stamping.
I really shouldn't be sitting at the PC again when I really need to make a special card for the weekend and its for a man, maybe that why I'll putting it off again.

Christmas is in August

Just when you thought it was safe after all the challenges of Christmas in July, Simon Says Stamps challenge this week is Christmas in August.

The inspiration for my card was I wanted to use the Hero Arts Happy Holiday trees stamp, which I stamped twice on the blue card then cut out along the bottom of the trees so I could stick them on white card for snow. I then used the Penny Black globe cling stamp, using a Penny Black Hedgie I stamped inside one of the globe image and then very careful using the Hedgie stamp I inked the snowflakes so I could stamp some more snowflakes round the globe.
I still have the Echo Park Wintertime out which it used for the large stripy mat, flat ribbon bow and Cuttlebug and Martha Stewart snowflakes to finish.

EAC sketch

We've got a fabulous sketch from Tina this week at Everybody Art Challenge and I needed a baby boy card. So out comes my favourite Whiff of Joy stamp, I love having the excuse to use it. The papers are Lullaby from Kaiser and I've included one of the sentiment squares too.
I wanted to use flowers but I thought it looked it would look a bit too busy so I just used the Magnolia doo hickey swirl and the cuttlebug heart embossing folder for dimension.

I think I shall be using this sketch again.

Kiki

I made this card days ago and nearly forgot what challenge its for but I knew it was a sketch so lucky for me I found it. Its for Creative Inspirations and do think I may have missed out a layer when drawing it on a scrap bit of paper  but it does give the card chance to saw the pretty kaiser papers. Kiki is a Mo Manning image isn't she gorgeous and I believe she is a stamp too.
Well we had a good journey up just, if we had left any later we would have hit several jams on the M6 but at least it was a bit quieter on the way back the following day. But the week is creeping up on me, just have to get to the Dentist today and then chill for the rest of the week. Just hope Mr Mojo hasn't deserted me.
