A little bit of Spring

This card was inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch this week I think it still recognisable. I used a memory box tesstina die to make the orange square.
The shaped rectangle was embossed using a Darice embossing folder which I also used on the side with some added Liquid Pearls.
You must be fed up with the daisies from MFT but I do love them and this time I actually used MFT leaf swirl as well.

The Birthday sentiment seems to be permanently on my desk, its grey rubber but apart from that I've no idea who it belongs to.

Penny Black

Something a bit different today. While searching for a particular stamp I rediscovered a couple of Penny Black floral stamps I have.
Using some odd bits of a Kaiser Pack I made this sort of vintage style card.
I used the Floral Oval from Spellbinders  and apart from the paper piecing the flowers that was pretty much it.

Lace and ribbon to make a vintage statement and then I cut the Penny Black Best Wishes die twice once in cream and once in the red. This was so the cream words would overlap the red and help it stand out against the cream oval.

Fingers crossed Mr Blogger is being kind and post this schedule post.

Where are we now

Even more insulation, honestly I will have gone from the coldest room to hottest at this rate.

Things have been put on hold until the floor dries out. The floor man won't lay the wet room floor unless the moisture in the floor is below a certain figure.

But I do have drain for the shower

So meanwhile the patio is almost complete.
Also the room now has been boarded out ready for the plaster board, then the Plasterer, my room gets smaller everytime a builder walks in it.

James

I really don't know why I wanted to cut out the circle for James to stand in but I think it works. I made a frame round it with spellbinder and the crochet border from MFT.
You know that James comes from Lily of Valley, as is the strip of checked paper..

My flower flourish is the Lavish Branch chopped up to suit and those pesky Upsy Daisy dies again from MFT. The Memory box scallop to finish off.

Swimming this morning and then I need to pack my bags for my weekend away. I told my friend who didn't know what to pack, to take clean knickers and PJs and then use every available space for craft stuff.

Pants

I don't know why I don't like it why I do a bit my green ink seems to be a different shade, not sure how and maybe the scallops are a bit too much .

The ink frame and the tulips are from Memory Box, actually I think the scallops are Memory Box die too.

Well it didn’t make it to the bin just quickly hid it in my card bag for cards waiting to be bagged up.

Less is More

This is my second card for Less is More the first almost made it to the bin but I might post later. The Cherry Lynn floral die was already cut out and on my desk so I decided to use it rather than waste it.

I think the frame is Radiant Rectangle from Spellbinders .
The sentiment is from Woodware, I picked up a couple of their sentiment sets at Bracknell there's only a couple of sentiments in the each pack.
My daisies are MFT Upsy Daisy dies, they seemed to be the order of day lately since I've been using them a lot.

Not sure if I should of used a white ribbon but its too late now.

I couldn't help it but when I saw that it was Tag week I knew I had to use these Tiddly Inks dog  days stamps and I used the Simon Say Stamps tag die to make the tags. I drew round the die to make my red mat.
I also used the Paper Smooches Dog Icon dies for my kennel but to give it a bricked look and on my tags I used the Tim Holtz Bricked embossing folder.
The papers are Pebbles Front Porch and I added Tim Holtz Trinket pins for a bit more interest on my tags and last of all my bit of grass is from MFT.
Almost forgot my sentiment is from a Kelly Purkey Dude stamps.

Happy

I always seem to be running a week or two behind when it comes to CAS challenges and its no different with Splitcoast Stampers challenges too, but in their case there's no time limit.
So this is CAS card using coloured card although the first one ended in the bin, a messy issue with glue.
I'm pretty sure this is CAS sketch from a challenge will have to track that down to give credit where it is due.
I've used the Meadow Rue with the Happy die and sentiment from Simon Says Stamps.

Back at 2pm with this weeks Simon SaysStamps Wednesday Challenge.

Happy Chappie

So Scrapbooking layout week 10 and how could I resist these photos of my adorable Gt Nephew. It's really a CAS layout well it is if you see some of my layouts.
I seen a similar layout using the different coloured strips but I decided to use the word punch from Stampin Up and in the end I paper pricked along them to bring them together.
Once that was sorted it was a case of decorating and since they're in look out tower or wheel I used clouds and you find planes in the clouds too. So I used Simon Says Stamps Flat Bottom Clouds and Plane dies along with MFT cloud die.
It needed something more so I added balloons I think they are CC designs but don't hold me to that I have the Penny Black ones too which I brought when I thought I lost the others.

A couple of close ups of the individual pages.

Green and Brown

I think I may have got confused with the latest challenge on Everybody Art Challenge, I thought it was Green and Brown but apparently is Light Green. Ok there are bits of light green in my Bo Bunny Paper.

My little chap is called First Fish from Mo Manning sorry about the wishy washy face I don't think my camera approved of the colours.

I used a sketch I found on my Pinterest board which had the rosette in the corner but I added fish tail sentiment banner. But I felt it needed more and eventually decided on feathers and I sneaked in a bit more blue.

Pop over and check out the fabulous cards the DT have made and hope you join in with us this week.

James

When I saw the sketch on Sketch Saturday it reminded me that I had this image waiting and he would be perfect for that sketch.

The papers were sitting on my desk too so obviously I put the two together.  used the Cherish punch from Martha Stewart to make my centre strip a bit more interesting. Made a bit of mess punching out the semi circle but lucky for me the Upsy Daisy from MFT hides that.

I confess to buying the Penny Black sentiments dies maybe just a little too big for my liking but thats not going to stop me from using them.

Its heads down and make cards the next few days, I'm away at the weekend and need some cards ready for when I come home.

Butterfly Thanks

Bit late this morning couldn't get into Blogger, been having PC problems so spent yesterday cleaning disks etc to help but it meant have to resign into Blogger. This is not helpful when I can't remember the password so I have jump through the hoops to make a new one knowing full well if I have to clean the disks again I will have forgotten it since all the easy ones have been used.
Anyway back to my card using the Mojo Monday Sketch it is possibly too late. The papers are from the March Simon Says Stamps kit well the bottom strips are from the piece with the strips on and I cut out my favourite ones.
I used the smaller Floral Oval die from Spellbinders but the butterfly is from Simon Says Stamps Leanne die and so is the Thanks die with the coordinating stamp set.

Busy day today unfortunately not for making cards.

Hows it going

So the plumbing is where is should be

Wires are everywhere and the electrician is sorting out security lights so if anyone goes near the gate or the shed the garden lights up like Blackpool Illuminations.

Two very important double plugs, one for the daylight lamp and my Ipod the other for the Cricut and Heat tool got to get my priorities rights.

We have a new door

At the moment it comes with a pet entrance

From the front the door still needs some work to the roof yet.
Sorry if its becoming a bit boring but I plan to record its development and if I decide to scrapbook the event this helps with the timeline.

Best Wishes Bunny

I should have had my post schedule in  case I overslept but since I haven't I need to get this post written in pretty quick time so its ready to post in time for the new Penny Black Saturday Challenge. This month its Lace and Pearls.
The lace was kind of easy has you can see I've used it round my oval mat. I did have to snip the round the edges so it would lay flat but since thats underneath it wasn't too much of a problem.
I'm not sure you can get my Penny Black image its called Hanging On! and its number is1028K. The bunny means it comes out about now in time for Easter but they are so cute I shouldn't save them just for this time of year.
The sketch I've used is this weeks Papertake Weekly but I've had to flip it so my ribbon is at the bottom not the top.
My corners are a very old cuttlebug die but one of my favourites at least till it doesn't work no more. The sentiment which is fabulous are Penny Black dies I tried to resist but I brought some alphabets for a friend who was having job getting them so I found them for her and these fell into my basket.

I do hope you can join us this month and do pop over and check out the team.
