Vegas Scrapbooking

I have another blog that I upload my scrapbooking and mini book too, this allows me to load them as one post so you're able to view the whole book.
But this blog is for all my crafts and when I do them and even though I linked to my Vegas Scrapbook on All in One Place I didn't show them on this blog. So sorry if you seen them before.

Froggy Saturday

My head must still be with last weeks multifold challenge, certainly a few folds on this tri-shutter card. The challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge is Green. Green means frogs and if you have one frog why not have a few.
The papers are My Minds Eye and the EK Sucess funky flower punch was working over time.
Just add some faux stitching and the sentiment I made on the PC, were all the embellishments I used not even a bit of ribbon. Oh but I did use some googly eyes can't have frogs without googly eyes.
But what a nightmare to photo but love how it shows off my froggy PB stamps.
Thanks to everyone who joined in last week and would love to see you again this week. So why not pop over to see the fabulous DT creations.

Shabby Chic Friday

See I can do shabby and distressing when I put my mind to it. I blow off the dust on my Tim Holtz distressing tool and distress every bit of card stock so I can enter my card in this weeks A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge.
The papers are Prima Madeline which I think it possible the best pad of the few I've brought lately. The lace is already gathered and brought it off E-bay, would be my card if there was a bit of ribbon somewhere. The flowers are from Wild Orchid but I even distress them would some ink.
My image is a Sarah Kay  from Stampavie but I forgot to use a  clean wet paper stump over her eyes and mouth to clean off any coloured pencil, so may have to retake the pic.

Sketch Saturday on Thursday

I can't believe how good I've been and didn't buy one single new LOTV, of course when everyone gets theirs and do fab things with them, I will want them. But for now I will settle for one of the oldies like this cute bear. I've used the Sketch Saturday sketch this week and Echo Park Little Boy and cos its more for a Man/Boy card kept it quite simple.
I threaded the buttons together which made it tricky to stick them down and I used the 1/4inch circle punch for the false brads in the corner. I used Martha Stewart zigzag punch which always seems to get used when a mans card is on the cards.
Now I may not have got LOTV stamps but finally my Postie brought me some WOJ (please don't let me start about the new system Guildford PO are doing but I now have days of no post and following days stacks of it, so I'm pretty certain they're not delivering every day)

Clean and Simple

This could be a long post, its Anything Goes over on Simon Says Stamps Challenge and the DT is showcasing Unity Stamps. The set I brought was Insightful Meadows and seeing Clean and Simple cards are in vogue at the moment I thought I would give this is a try. First I made a drawer and you can just see the front panel of the drawer, this is repeated all the way round. I used the Distress Inkpads, Tumbled Glass and Broken China. I did wonder if I left too much white.
I then make some Clean and Simple Cards to go inside the drawer. I made a chart of all the Distress Inkpads I had and then worked out which would work together. I've used Nestablilities for some cards.

Here our some close ups of the cards I made. Its amazing how just three brads make all the difference.
I used a score board to make the the embossed stripes, another simple way to finish off a card.
I was running out of ideas so just a touch of ribbon to finish.
This time I use some black pearls and found these words in a Penny Black Transparent set.
This was a huge stamp but I was trying to use all the same size card so another with ribbon to finish.

Now looking at the last two they seem quite busy and the last one I need to move the pearls. To make the cards I use two different techniques. First one is to stamp and embossing with white embossing powder then blend the ink round them. The second I've use a circle as a mask and then blended the ink round and finally stamp the images.
When I had finished I had to lie down in a darken room, this was totally out of my comfort zone.
We would love for you do join us at Simon Say Stamps Challenge and theres an amazing prize for someone of
Don't forget to pop over and check out the Dt too.

Going Green

We're going Green this week over on High Hopes Challenge, this could be the colour or to recycle something for you card. I pretty much tick both boxes, you can't get greener than a Dustin Pike Dragon and love this one with all the tools. So he will need somewhere to put them and thats where I torn up a box and painted it green and laced some thread.
While making this I wasn't convince this would work but actually it doesn't look half bad especially in RL. I even filled the little dots with a silver pen so they look like nails but again that more obvious in RL too.
Do pop over to the challenge and check out the Divas  there some gorgeous creations to inspire you.

Welcome Baby

The challenge this week over on Everybody Art Challenge is Baby and this was an ideal opportunity to use this new Stampavie stamp. Takes some thinking with new images where to layer but I had to work it out what is really for 3 images but I think it turned out OK.
The papers are Prima, possibly Madeline but don't hold me to it. I used  two strips of the lattice deep edge punch from Martha Stewart to make my trellis for my roses and butterflies.
The sentiment is Woodware and just a touch of ribbon and lace to finish off.
Do pop over and check the DT and would love for you to join us.

Bunny for Monday

I'm so pleased I was able to make a card for today, it was touch and go but with the help of Rach's sketch for Friday Sketchers and keeping it quite simple, job done.
I use another Stampavie stamp, love this bunny and with a touch of flower soft and fun flock for his bobtail love how he turned out.  Yes I know he's in mice colours but thats why I love them so much.
The papers are Echo Park Little Girl, EKsuccess retro punches and the corners are Quickutz die.
Should be a quiet week this week but I guess I shouldn't of said that!

Spring Fairy

I did manage to make a card for today and using the the challenge on Cute Card Thursday for Spring for my inspiration. Ok this image was coloured and I was pleased to see she's holding a daffoldil so spring it was. I love this adorable fairy from Stampavie bit worried about her knobbly knees.
Disappointed in my layering looking back now I should of layered her underskirt last but it was the first time of using I will know for next time.
The papers are My Minds Eye and the lace which I brought for 35p a metre, much better price than the lace I usually use although not as good as quality but I didn't mind how much I used to pleating round the oval. The flowers are a new punch, which has a couple on and a leaf, quite a lot of wastage to make the flowers I have done.

We had a lovely afternoon tea at Elvetham Hotel in Fleet, we were so lucky with the weather, the sun came out all afternoon. We were also entertained by the Wedding party, checking out some of the outfits.
Then a fabulous day at MJ's crop, didn't get much done but pleased we've want I did. Somehow I've got to make a card today or you won't get to see one tomorrow.

More than one fold

So the challenge this week on Penny Black Challenge is More than one fold and my poor brain went blank. But of course there are loads of cards which uses more than one fold and Easel card for a start.  But all I could think of was to use these two images of Penny Black mice and the cross over card was made.
In hindsight I should have made a double fold so that the bulky inside sat much neater. You can see the retro flower punches from Ek Success were used a lot, along with the Magnolia swirl which hasn't been behaving lately I think its complaining that I'm always using it.
The papers are from My Minds Eye because the papers are not really white core I had to get the blending tool out with the Antique Linen inkpad to soften the glare that the white paper I used with my images.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone who joins in, comes up with. Don't forget to check out the fabulous DT and that we have prize from Ribbon Girl and a fabulous Penny Black stamp which I don't have.

Swirl Madness

Oh we have a fabulous sketch on A Gem of Challenge and it gave me a opportunity to go mad with my Magnolia Swirl, I had seen someone use the two different colours together and I thought what a brilliant idea. Sorry I can't remember who it was but I know it wasn't my idea.
I used the Delovely papers from Cosmo Cricket and coloured the cute Chloe to match, you can find her at Pink Gem Designs.
The borders are the deep edge punch doily punch from Martha Stewart.
I love it when a sketch just falls into a card so easily wish they were all like that. Now don't forget to pop over and check out the talented DT on Gem of Challenge.

You're the Best

Its going to be a couple of busy days, today I'm out for afternoon tea, it was a Birthday Present from last year. Also it MJ All day Crop tomorrow so thats an early start.
So I manage to make a couple of cards this being one of them. I thought I would keep it simple, well I thought I would till I came to cut out the bits for the bunnies and I had to wait till their flowersoft and fun flock bobtails dried.
Now really they look like a Wedding couple but see the envie in the lady bunny hands thats her Wedding Anniversary card for her Hubby Bunny and thats why I put You're the Best sentiment. This means I can enter in Moving along with the Time  Challenge.
The papers are American Craft, I have so many scraps of different papers I making myself use them up so you will see them again soon. The flowers are EK Success and the tiny dots in the small flowers is using the largest hole in the cropadile bit fiddly but it works. Oh the the cute image is Stampavie, who have a huge release and some fell into my basket along with the Sarah Kays.
Now I have to schedule some posts, fingers crossed that Mr Blogger behaves.

Tilda Thursday

You know when you have an idea how you card should look and it turns out nothing like it. I'm not sure whether I've done a good job of Mina's sketch on Just Magnolia, I blame the hump day.
The papers are Girl Friday from Cosmo Cricket which I tons of not sure how but I need to use it.
The punch is the deep edge doily punch and the flowers are using another EK success punch it has two flowers, circle and leaf on it but I used my own 1/2 inch stampin up circle punch for the centre, I was trying to make them look like the one on the patterned paper.
Hubby had to take DS to Doctors Walk in Centre yesterday, DS was told to soak in a bath to get the plaster and steri strips off his knee two weeks after his keyhole knee surgery.
He had a total shock to find stitches which you're not suppose to get wet. He rang the day surgery unit to ask about them, who told him to go to his GP who told him they have no appointments this week and to go to the Walk in Centre.
Hopefully he's all sorted now although one stitch he had out isn't look happy but I told him it probably because it was ready to come out but to keep a eye on it.

WOYWW

So its Wednesday, I think and it also means WOYWW. Well I managed to get into my room to finish a card that I started but had to leave.
Finishing means putting the embellies on and look, could it be the EK sucess retro flower punches, now  the pot beside the large punch is my little pot of googly eyes but you going to have to wait for ages before you see it.
I work my DT cards at least a week before to give me time if my joints play up and I can't play in my craftroom. Or if I have a good day I think I'm a normal human being and over do it and then have to rest for a couple of day while my joints get over the shock!
It a lovely Spring day with lovely sunshine, until you pop outside and realised you need several layers of warm woolies.

Fly away with me

Its recipe time at Simon Says Stamps Challenge 3 types of Embellishments, 2 papers and 1 image. Ok I might have to cheat with the one image cos I needed a couple extra to layer the Hedgies but it really is only one image. Since they're are Hedgies they obviously Penny Black and Simon Says Stamps has a huge collection of them and I like to pop one in my shopping basket but sometimes its really difficult to choose cos there's so many.
The papers are Delovely from Cosmo Cricket and I use some punched flowers, pearls and a bit of ribbon so that my three embellishments.
Not that the camera has photo it very well but behind the Hedgies, there are clouds and I use MFT Die-namics Clouds as a stencil, inked round them using a Tim Holtz blending tool and a couple of blue distress inkpads. I see they're out of stock at the moment so fingers cross they come back in stock soon.

Now don't forget to join us we have a fabulous prize for the lucky winner and also check out the DT for some fab inspiration.

Springtime Bunnies

Its Spring over on EveryBody Art Challenge and this gave me the oppportunity of using Penny Black Bunnies and some really bright sunny colours.
The papers are Echo Park Little Girl, flowers out of my stash and I've used a Marianne die. The sentiment is from a Woodware set, I have a similar set with different words so this is a good additon.
Now don't forget to pop over to the challenge to see what the DT have been up to, we would love you to join in too.
Well we had fun last night, DD and I was watching the recording of Live on the Red Carpet when the power went. Managed to find some candles but we were worried we were going to miss Glee but lucky for us it came back on after an hour.

A little help from my friends

My fellow Diva from High Hopes is fundraising for Luke, here's an update and Luke taken from Lacey's shop.

*Fundraiser for Luke*

On December 31, 2010 my friend's 6 year old son Luke suffered a 30 minute seizure as a result of Spinal Meningitis. He has swelling on his brain, loss of speech, loss of all movement on his left side of his body, and uncontrolled movement on the right side of his body. He can not walk, talk or even sit up on his own. They are on a long journey of treatments and therapies. On March 7th, they are heading to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota (USA) for more treatment. The bills have started to come in and there is currently no end in sight to the treatments he needs.
You can read about his story and follow along with his journey on his blog: www.prayforluke.com
100% of the proceeds for this stamp will be donated to Luke's family.
This image was illustrated by an Terek - an 18 year old young man from Canada. This is his first stamp design!!
If you can spare $3 please pop over to Lacey's shop and purchase this cute Jedi Knight.
