Buttons

The challenge on Just Magnolia is for buttons, this helped me decide on this little Tilda cos she's got buttons on her dungarees and I knew I had some teeny tiny buttons to sew on her. This wouldn't be a problem except I've lost my pokey tool, I'm devastated we've been together for years. Still I did managed to sew on my little buttons and I found the flower button for the flower too. I pretty sure the papers are Bo Bunny but I've only got bits left and of course none have the name on. I've used the sketch from The Next Level and they're also doing a tutorial on 3d too.

A Sarah Kay's Christmas

Well I haven't got the hump today but not sure where Mojo's gone hopefully I'll find it later. I managed a card for Cute Card Thursday which is for Xmas in July an ideal opportunity to use the Sarah Kay I brought at Newbury, I wanted her last Christmas but couldn't get my hands on her. I used Summertime Designs download Winter Gifts and I followed DawnyP's sketch for Papertake Weekly although I have turned it a bit.
Looking for some candy well look what Leanns is offering, you have till Tuesday.

Berry Sweet Sarah Kay

Well the Hump Wednesday started Tuesday and has rolled into Thursday! Not sure I would have made a card if it wasn't for the new Sarah Kay's hitting my doormat today. I used the sketch on A Spoonful of Sugar and the Berry Sweet pack from K & Co which came from Charmed Cards and Crafts, which is also where I brought the new Sarah Kays. The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch can't believe it was gathering dust whilst waiting to be used.

Blossoms and Fruits

So a bit of a busy post, well card wise and the first is for the Cupcake Challenge which is for blossoms and butterflies, I just knew I wanted to use my butterfly that I make, after all I haven't used for a least a month. I used W R Memorys papers and I wanted to match the flowers and in the end I punched them out cos I couldn't match the colours and for a change I embossed the background with a folder other than swiss dots.
On Simon Says Challenge it Summer Fruits and more or less anything goes, colours, papers or image has long as there is connection to Summer Fruits. I got hold of this fab paper by Doodlebug with strawberries but I've also used one of WOJ summer kit with the strawberries on her clothes and I rediscovered the strawberry stamp too. I've used the swirly punch too and could that be the heart embossing folder too.
Look what I got too, an Award from Abi, many thanks.
As to the Parcel I received a postcard from the PO to say there is £9.97 to pay because they failed to put the postage on the parcel. OK it was a big parcel for a start there was a 12 by 12 album in there. It was a geniue mistake and the shop in question just wants the receipt for what we paid and will reimburse me. I do get parcels regularly from them so I knew it wouldn't be a problem.
I have just checked Papertake Weekly to see the new challenge, which is a fabby sketch by the way to see I've won.

Just Magnolia Tutorial

I was honoured to be asked my the Just Magnolia team to do a tutorial on how I 3d my Tilda's for their Just Magnolia Tutorial Challenge. Today its there in all its glory just hope someone proof read it cos my fingers tend to get carried away sometimes when typing.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to e-mail me, my address in the sidebar.

A punch to many

I'm not sure I like this card, it could it be the papers or could it be just a little too much of everything. I've used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and on Stamp with Fun the challenge is for punches or shapes, well I've certainly used punches here. The mats I used a corner punch, the main mat I've used the flourish punch and I was experimenting and used the heart border for the corners and don't forget the ash branch punch too. The papers are chatterbox and sentiment is Hero Arts.
I'm a bit peeved at the moment because I'm waiting for a parcel and usually it would be here by now, its not like I haven't ordered from this shop before several times.

Swirly Monday

Yes I've got a swirl punch and yes I want to use it everywhere, to be honest I was struggling yesterday to make a card. So I settled on the Heidi Grace Christmas paper I picked up somewhere and used a PB mouse again but this one hasn't been inked yet be warned you will see it again before Christmas is finished. Used stickles for the snowflakes and the snow and to finish off snowflakes punches and not forgetting the swirls for the challenge on Penny Black Saturday.
While backing up my photos realised I haven't show this layout, it was about the AVE train from Madrid to Barcelona. I think the papers are Crate papers and the titles are cut from the cricut, I've also added the tickets behind the main photo of the train.

Good News Sunday

Look no flowers, I just thought that the Cosmo Cricket was quite busy already. The sketch I used was this weeks Friday Sketchers and the fancy corner is a die cut which I then used a corner punch. The image is a Sugar Nellie another of my all time faves.
Remember the card I made this week here, it was made especially for the happy couple below. While in Canada Neil proposed to my niece Louise, we've know for few days but now they're back UK we can let out the secret. My niece wants to be married this side of Christmas!
Sis is already working out some samples of the Wedding Invitations and you know whose going to get roped in to help!

Congratulations Louise and Neil

Just Monkeying around

There's a fabulous sketch on Just Magnolia and it gives me a chance to use this monkey stamp, isn't he cute. I've used Cosmo Cricket card and the flower and leaves are woodware punches. The sentiment is Simon Says Stamps, yes I know, I can't help it but use them probably cos they fit so well in the punches I've got.
No crafting today, this morning I must tidy up my craftroom because I've lost my desk and I'm out for long lunch but I do have a card for tomorrow.
I've received my Summer Kit from Magnolia and Tilda's rubber ring is missing not sure if I want to attempt to sort it out or just wait till the set is in the shops, that way other things might fall in my basket.

Scrumptious Nellie

I'm going to have to put red on their cheeks cos the camera really washes it out when photo. Love these Cosmo Cricket papers, yes I brought them at Newbury and at The Hobby House but The Hobby House had all the stuff that I love on my cards so where else was I going to spend my Money, Sis spent a lot there too.
On Papertake Weekly challenge is for My favourite things and has I seemed to have quite a few stamps I guess they must be my favourite things and in particular this fabby Sugar Nellie is probably one of my all time faves.
Cute Card Thursday was to make a Thank you card for a Teacher but has I don't have any kiddywinks at school, I'll just settle for a Thank you card.
I used the Truly Scrumptious sketch and I really did try not to use the roses and my Leone em punch but I couldn't stop myself. The heart embossing folder it is a cuttlebug one but it 's one of those that had dies with it but I never use them, it was an expensive way of getting the folder but I don't regret it.
There is some fabby candy around above is from Fran

And this one is from Chrissy but this is just a tip of the iceberg, she is offering stamps from the new release of High Hopes too.

Spoonful of Hearts

Now I know why they call Wednesday the Hump day cos I was well and truly in hump all day. I coloured the SK image to match the fab Kaiser paper I brought at Newbury at The Hobby House and then chose the wrong backing colours so that was the final straw and went off to annoy everyone else.
So first thing this morning I was determined to finish the card I found the peachy colour in my Bazzill stocks, I'm such a skinflint I try to use Bazzill only for my scrapbooking. I followed the Stamp with Fun sketch which shouted big card, the paper has hearts on and I used MS heart border punch so I can count this card in the A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge.
I haven't forgotten my candy, waitting for something to come in the post.

Paper Piecing Tilda

I love Paper piecing it really brings the image and the papers together and it's really easy to do. Just stamp onto the pattern paper and cut out and stick on top of another stamped image. The WOJ chair is brilliant to do this with so if you fancy having a go then pop on Simon Says Stamps Challenge and you will be in for a chance to win £25 voucher and there's some hidden candy on one of the DT blog, sorry but its not mine.
So for my card I've used a vintage type papers from PaperMania not sure whats its called lost the front cover. I've already mentioned the WOJ chair and not forgetting Tilda, the stamps are available from Simon Says Stamps, well they were last week when I made the card.
My scrapbooking has seems to be going back to clean and simple, the papers are BG Bittersweet it goes really well with DD dress, I used Pagemaps for the sketch.

Pretty in Pink

It's cards like this I wish I could work out how to make the pic extra large cos this is a large card with lots of detail that seemed to lose they're effect with such a small pic. After watching Bev colour these images I realised mine haven't seen ink.
They are large stamps and so I felt they needed an A5 card just in case its not called that, A4 folded in half. The reason I get confuse is because I make my cards rather than buy them ready made. The Papers are Papermania probably the best pack I every brought, roses from Wild Orchid and did you notice the heart punch from MS be prepare to see it often and last the mats behind the couple have been punched with the flourish punch (thanks Tab)again it won't be the last time. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday which was perfect for this size card.
Once I knew it was going to be a Wedding card I rang my Sis because I knew she had to make one for a workmate but I also know that Sis is going through a difficult time and time isn't what she's got at the moment. So I have no idea who Gemma and David are!
Before I forget my teamie Domi has a fabulous Penny Black clear stamps set up for grabs on her blog.

Red, White and Blue Mouse

Why should such a simple card take so long, although my printer did decide that it would go slow. I printed off the papers from Summertime Designs Freedom kit, when I saw that the challenge on Penny Black Saturday was for Red, White and Blue I knew I didn't have anything suitable lucky for me this Patriotic kit had the perfect colours. Now the little mouse was one I brought from Newbury, I thought he would make a perfect mans card. Yes the sentiment is Simon Says Stamps they never leave my desk.
Stacey reminded me about my Parcels, well who was a lucky girl then, just has we were getting into the card on Saturday the Post Van turned up with several parcels although DD wanted to blackmail me, but I now have the flourish punch I brought from Tab and the heart punch and zig zag punch from The Hobby House I wasn't going to take the chance that I could get them at Newbury. I've still not stopped stalking the Postman there's still some more things to arrive.
I've joined FaceBook I have absolutely no idea what I'm suppose to be doing but I've managed to work out how to play a game and I'm trying to beat Fran's score without any success.

Limeade Sunday

Didn't we have a lovely time the day we went to Newbury, Ok there wasn't has many stalls, not so many people but somehow I still didn't have any probs spending my money. Quite a few of my pennies was spent on the Hobby House where I met the lovely Bev, the stall was covered in Bev's masterpieces which are more fabulous in real life. There was some awkward moments when my Sis and DD asked whether I had this stamp or that, put it this way I didn't have to buy any of the stamps they were already in my collection.
The card that I finished is for Friday sketchers and the papers are free download from Summertime Designs called Limeade, wasn't sure about the black but it works a treat. I found this darling Sarah Kay while looking for another SK.
Right of to check my WOJ stamps my Sis wants to arrange a card making day using my stamps!

Charming Tilda

Thank goodness the weather's cooled a bit, I'm feeling a bit more normal. So this has to be a quickie post cos I'm on my way to Newbury this morning, sorry if you're fed up with me telling you. This card is for the Just Magnolia challenge of using charms, I know why I don't use them that often cos they are so fiddly with putting the rings on the chain and charm, the air was very blue but I wasn't going to give up. The papers are Chatterbox, they were in a kit with the flower although I wasn't keen what they put in the centre so that soon came off. The ribbon is DD so I'm going to have to get some more for her since I've used it quite a bit especially with the Wisteria pack from BG.
I've been stalking the Post Man there's at least three parcels on their way and I'm sure he's hoarding them so he can put a note through my letterbox so my Hubby (who doesn't know) has to collect them.
I'll try not gloat over my goodies that I've brought, with you tomorrow.

Cool Cat

The challenge on Cute Card Thursday is for stitching real or faux, well seeing as Damon (my sewing machine) is still hidden from when we had the downstairs floors done I've settled for faux stitching it probably looks neater than my actually sewing. These Bloom and Grow papers are real ones not download but I've only got enough for one more card so pleased I downloaded them from Sweet Shoppe Designs and they didn't cost that much especially has I can use them over and over again. I used one of the Pet Collection Magnolia stamp, he doesn't look that happy with me I was trying do a Marmalade cat but I've sure he knows they were mouse colours I used. The sentiment is Woodware.
PHEW its going to be a degree or two cooler today according to the BBC, although we had a fab evening at my Sis yesterday sitting out in the garden with couple jugs of Pimms till late evening.

Smile

WOW at some point yesterday I hit 100.000 truly amazing thank you for all visiting my little blog. Looking forward to buying some candy at Newbury of course I will have to buy two cos I'm not giving away something I haven't got.
Back to the cards, this little darling is from dream2stamps and the papers are Stampin Up and the sentiment is Hero Arts clear designs. The sketch is from Carols sketch fun and its perfect for this size card I think its called C6 card but if Do-crafts collect for Marie Curie next year this one will be ready to go.
If by concidence Dawny's Sketch on Papertake Weekly shouted to me to make the same size. The cute pair are from Simon Says Stamps We are Family and the sentiment is from the simply the best words. The papers are BG Marrakech pack (hoping to pick the new packs of BG at the weekend). Another for the Marie Curie box.
Ok I'm going to say it, I've refrain from saying it before because of the rubbish summers we've had lately but IT'S TOO HOT.

Tilda and Oakley

I think these papers are gorgeous and they were a free download from Summer Driggs blog, the set is call Sweet Springtime but to me they shouted Summer which is the challenge on Spoonful of Sugar. I do think Tilda would be cooler in shorts rather than jeans. I received a e-mail today about the Magnolia Summer Kit and the preview image is so cute. Whoops nearly forgot the sketch is from The Next Level, always like to give credit to where its due.
I need you help with this card, do I send this one of Oakley or this one from yesterday, same papers but I used the Mojo Monday #93 sketch.
