Lavender Snowflakes

 I’m sure there was a sketch involved when I made this card but I don’t remember it now. Simon says Stamp frame and their snowflakes. The card stock is a lavender colour hence the title of the post but seeing it through the eyes of a camera it’s more blue.

Well yesterday didn’t go to plan, I had hoped to so some colouring and make cards with the new images. So today I’m colouring.

Birthday Pup

 I’ve been making cards with lots of white space so I’m really not sure I like this card. The dog image is Penny Black. The papers Doodlebug and my favourite scallop border die from Lawn Fawn but so old now I not sure it available. The stars are Simon says Stamp and the sentiment is Creative Expression layered twice to help it stand out.

My daughter has now had her first vaccination and my son who had to wait two weeks after surgery has booked his in for Saturday.

Single Bloom

 Yet another card using an old Freshly Made Sketch I’m pretty pleased how this turned.

The background is an old Stamping Up stamp of wood grain stamped in grey. The Cosmos die from Altenew, sentiment an old Simon says Stamp embossed in white. I’ve seen loads of amazing cards made with the flower die on Pinterest but really need to get ahead with some men cards.

Daisies

 Another card made with the Freshly Made sketch some weeks ago. The daisies made with my favourite daisy die from MFT is quite old now and I’m not sure if it’s available.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, I think it’s called Thoughtful Messages but don’t hold me to that.

Had to get my eyes tested only a year late but last year we waited till I was 60 and the numbers of COVID had gone up and then we went into lock down 2, the tier 4 and then lock down 3. Then I broke my glasses luckily I had an old pair but now I may have to stop buying new craft stuff for a while because my new ones weren’t cheap.

Glitter Frame

 This card was a total failure because I forgotten that sticking anything onto glitter card is an absolute pain.

I love the Pink Fresh oval frame didn’t have a problem sticking that or the MFT daisies centres and the leaves are Memory Box just in case you want to know.

It was problem trying to stick the white mat onto glitter card to make an gold edge foolish me thought PVA would work even under a ton weight of magnetic boards with dies on didn’t work.

It was only when the Happy Birthday dropped off and I stuck it back on with a bit of red double sided tape did I realise the answer was tape.

Stars and Stripes

 There are more boys and men in my family then girls and I’m always on the look out for ideas for masculine cards. Saw this idea on Pinterest and knew I could make work. 

I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Banners in various blues and a silver which the camera shows up as grey.  I also used the stars from the Holiday Shapes and I used the different sizes although the original one used the same size.

Finally cut out the Birthday die a couple times to layer together to show up better.

Birthday Flowers

 I made this card again with Freshly Made sketches but it was from a few weeks ago. The flowers are MFT, I brought the set just for these flower didn’t like the leaves so used an old set of MFT leaves.

The Happy Birthday circle stamp is a really old one that actually fell out of a box of stamps I was looking through and I decided to use it. The dots were from a Stamping up set.

Mistletoe and Holly

 A couple of clean and simple Christmas cards using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for this week. I couldn’t find a square sentiment so that part of the sketch became a rectangle using the Simon Says Stamp Inside Christmas Greetings stamp set.

The holly and mistletoe are Sizzix dies, the holly I used die cut berries and the I used self adhesive pearls for the mistletoe.

Hubby is off to get his second jab this morning and I get mine at the end of May.

Penny Black Mice

 Finally loaded Blogger with some photos of cards, yes they may be quick and easy ones like this Penny Black one. It’s a fairly large stamp and I forgotten how cute these  mice are. The sentiment is Penny Black too.

Hoping to get to the craft room today although will be thinking about my son who is having yet another surgery on his knee.
