Baby Boy 1st Birthday
I love using Mo's Bike Babe, he makes a great card for a 1st Birthday. I had some old Echo Park papers to use up and they worked a treat.
The stars are some cut from the Simon says Stamp Holiday Shapes and out of some scraps of card. I also used the Wonky Rectangles.
I have an old die with numbers and the today, the circles and scallop circle are some old Stampin Up punches still going strong.
There's going to be a new challenge on Mo's Challenge blog this weekend so look out for that.

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Anything Goes.
We are showcasing Gina K Designs this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the challenge Blog. You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!
My first attempted ended in the bin, I was thinking of grey and pink for my colours but didn't quite work out when I blended them. So I made a new card but just splattered the colours.
Once dried I used Gina K Designs Perfect Blend for the first part of my sentiment and then I added the Simon says Stamp Always and Forever for the rest.
It was this point I used the Simon says Stamp Wonky Rectangles to give it a finished look. I had stamped the coffee cups on another piece of paper so I could fussy cut them out and layer then at the bottom of my sentiment.
Need to find somewhere else to photo my cards so that I don't get a shadow down one side but I've horrible feeling it was actually my shadow oops.
Do you use Instagram ? If so please add #ssswchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too.

My Favourite Things Bunny
I got round to colour the bunny image that isn't obviously for easter from My Favourite Things Easter Bunnies.
I had this idea with the three circles from a sketch last week but discovered they were a bit large to work exactly for the sketch which why the card is landscape.
So my Peeking Daisy from Simon says Stamp were pieced together using pink card stock and Tim Holtz Gearhead for their centres. I used Simon says Stamp Stitched Circle for my actual bunny image.
I did stamp my Tiny Words sentiment directly to the card but as you can see I had to use Simon says Stamp Stitched Banners to cover it up!
Finally the papers are Lawn Fawn Spring Fling.

Ragged Present
I was kinda inspired by the sketch on Sketch Saturday for the layout of the card. Papers are Doodlebug Christmas Town I think but don't hold me to it.
The sweet image is from Mo Manning called Ragged Kelly I've a horrible feeling that I haven't used her before but I can't quite believe that.
I framed the image mat with Simon says Stamp Wonky Rectangles and the snowflakes are their Maryann one. I even used a brad in the centre of each snowflake.
The sentiment is a very old Craftwork cards printed one and the red mat is using an old Stampin Up Oval punch not even sure they make them any more.

Bright Colours
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is A Bright Coloured Mood Board
We are showcasing Doodlebug this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! You could be asking what Doodlebug I've used but you know I love their papers and I've used Simply Spring for Cloud Strip and the Flickering Butterflies from the die of the same name from Simon says Stamp.
I added a border using Simon says Stamp Scallop Stitches, it gives a finishing touch to the cloud strip. The purple daisies were cut from the Simon says Stamp Peeking Daisy. As you can see I've only used the daisy and I blended some ink for the colour. The circle centres are using the waste from the cogs from Tim Holtz Sizzix Gearhead dies.
Finally the sentiment possible from my favourite sentiment stamps again from Simon says Stamp called Thoughtful Messages. I find its easy to do if you use a stamp positioner.

New Baby Boy
Gosh I've had this image for ages but only just got round to colour and use it for a card. The image is digi from Lily of Valley, easy to colour and to layer.
The papers are some random dotty ones and the only decoration is the Simon says Stamp Welcome Little One and their Scallop Stitches.
Apologies for no posts, no reason but have been busy since we got back from holiday.

Millie
Another card that once I added the image to the patterned paper to discover the paper is far too busy to add anything to do it.
The adorable image is from Mo Manning called Millie with watering can. The patterned paper I think could be a Doodlebug one called Hello.
The circular sentiment is an old one from Stampin Up and the ribbon is from my very large ribbon stash.
I actually managed to make some cards yesterday and now I need to colour up a couple of images ready for Saturday when I'm free to make some more cards. I think its time I made some more Christmas cards

Faux Stitching
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is
Stitching real/faux
We are showcasing Art Impressions this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used

I had to make my card pretty quickly since I was going on holiday with Sister and Brother-in Law and knew I wouldn't be up to making in time when we got back.
I used the Art Impressions Panda-tastic and used the Simon says Stamp Wonky Rectangles to give me some Faux Stitching.
I edged the wonky rectangle with a touch of red to stand out of my dotty paper from Black and White dots from My Favourite Things.
Sorry for the short post but just got back from some dental work and feeling slightly stressed out although it wasn't as bad as I expected. I have to do it all over again in a couple weeks too.

A couple of Trips Away
I've started to be a bit lazy taking photos and don't really have loads for New Year Celebrations in the top layout or for the visit to Hastings.
The new year one was using some Basic Grey collection set that I finally decided to cut. The slide squares I found in one of my stash boxes and covered them in patterned paper.
I had some left over papers from the Wedding photos I did last year and it had the black wooden panel which I thought was perfect for my photos. The row of houses is a die either Memory Box or Poppystamps. The seagulls I think are Memory box dies along with anchor.

Christmas Background
I keep putting off posting this card because I was going to make another in a different colourway but time always seems to run too fast. I actually made this in purple card but gave it to my Daughter for Christmas then realised I hadn't photo it.
Anyway here it is in Red, for a quick Christmas card this ideal because its a large die from Simon says Stamp Holiday Knit Background.
To give it a sentiment I used the Simon says Stamps Believe die and co-ordinating stamps. Like I said a quick card. I will make a few more for this year eventually because only used it once since it arrived after all my Christmas cards were done for last year.

Shhh its a Secret
I quick card from me today, I say quick but the cutting and layering does take time and making a simple card does speed the process up a bit.
The fabulous image is of course from Mo Manning, its called A Secret. The papers are Doodlebug not sure which one now its lost it cover. The flowers are an unbranded die set I have would love to know who makes it if only to give recognition to the right company.
The sentiment its an old Stampin Up one that I found under all the rubbish on my desk so I though why not use it since it makes a nice button.

I knew time was running away from me so I wanted a fairly quick card and I had in my head to make the background using the large Begonia from Altenew Wispy Begonia and that's when my quick card took a bit longer. I had to make a couple of masks for the background flowers.
Then it was colouring and layering the flowers and leaves. I wanted a large sentiment so I used the Simon says Stamp Frames. I drew round the die and then cut it out in pink so I could the pink edge for my hand cut frame.
The sentiment is from Simon says Stamp Thoughtful Messages, one of my favourites.

Floral Welly Boots
Where does time go, I've only just had a play with the Simon says Stamp Card kit for April when I've already received the May Kit. You have to be quick to get a kit because they are both out of stock. I believe you can get a subscription probably the best way if you don't want to miss out.
You can get the welly die on it own, its call Rainboot Planter. I've paper pieced mine with a few snips and cuts so I have leaves and tulip heads as well as boot trim.
The papers are Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse again available separately. I've used Simon says Stamp Wonky Rectangles and their Stitched Banners for the sentiment. The sentiment is Simon says Stamp CZ Designs Simple sentiments.
Finally a few Flickering Butterflies, simple because they so cute.

Family Trio
Another layout using a Photo from my nephews photo shoot, it may look simple but I cut the tiny hearts and stars with a die and they were quite fiddly.
I used some of the stickers that came with collection pack, I want to say its My Minds Eye but I'm not sure.

Crochet Update May
Oh dear I have several crochets projects on the go, I really like joining in Crochet Alongs, the first pic is of the Changing Tides from Coastal Crochet. This is up to week 2.
Then there's the Life Inspired by Helen Shrimpton in the Crochet Now Magazine. I'm still working on month 2 of the squares. Also I couldn't find out how many squares you meant to make so I made four. Then discovered it was in front of me the whole time and I only needed to make three!
In the meantime between CAL I'm making Seaside Winter Blanket by Zooty Owl.
When the balls of wool get tiny and I'm not convinced I have enough I've making these little squares. If my little ball of wool weight 4 grams there's enough for one square. The pattern is out of Jan Eaton 200 Crochet Blocks but I'm only doing 4 rows.
I still making a cover for a stool for daughter on Thursday Nights at my sister but I haven't taken a photo recently.

Slimming World
An impromptu post to celebrate getting to my Target with Slimming World. I know the health professionals will probably say I'm still overweight but I'm happy with the way I look. I always said if I like the way I look in the mirror than I'm happy. I'm a nice average size 14 and can buy clothes from anywhere now.
I'm not giving up group because I know the weight will creep back on quicker than it took taking it off. So I'll still be going every Thursday Morning.
This photo is with my lovely consultant Nicky, she was a member of the Jacobs Well Morning Group before she became our consultant and I wouldn't have got to target without all the help from my lovely friends in group.
And here I am on my 50th Birthday, next year it will be my 60th and I plan to weigh the same as I do today.

Baby Fairy
I coloured this image before I fell ill and have only now got round to making a card with her.
The image is of course from Mo Manning and it's called Baby Fairy Daffodil.
The papers are some old one from LOTV such a shame they're not making them any more. Julie my team-mate reminded me that I have the sentiment punches from Stamping Up that I haven't used in ages.
I used MFT Crochet Border die for round the image mat and the flowers are their die too called Upsy Daisy not sure if they are still available but they do get used a lot.

Now you may think that you can only have bunnies at Easter but I love them and the Bunny Wishes have a couple of images that means you can use them all year, like for Birthdays.
Isn't he cute and I used Doodlebug Simply Spring, well I used the left over scraps from my Mood Board card from a couple of weeks ago to make the balloons.
I blended a bit of blue down the side of the card so it looks like he is floating in the sky and since he is a little chap I used the Simon says Stamp Picture Book Sky Background clouds.
It needed a bit of stand out sentiment since I was keeping all details down one side and this sentiment from Simon says Stamps Thoughtful Messages was perfect.
