Cousins
Some really old paper and two photos that I've wanted to scrapbook for ages. Before I went to the retreat I had matched the papers with plain card and stamped my flowers in the different colours. I think the stamp is Stampendous one.
My leaves are Simon says Stamp Clustered leaves they are a great size for 12 inch layouts. The photos are a few Airshow BBQs back not sure on the year.

Efflorence
I did manage to make a Penny Black this week, I paper pieced one of the flowers from the Efflorence stamp set. The papers are some old Doodlebug, you know the ones that are left over because you're not keen on but it turned out OK.
My frame is MFT and I used some beads for the centres. The sentiment die and words are from Simon says Stamp and I cut the word out in fun foam for quickness.
Hopefully I'll get into my craft room today and some point send my photo from my iPad to my PC so I can add an update on my demelza blanket.

Baby Fairy Daffodil
Another quick card even though I cut out Mo's Baby Fairy Daffodil in two parts, the fairy then the flower.
I'm pretty certain I used this sketch before, it must firmly planted in my brain.
The MFT scallop frames are cut with glitter paper no idea why, maybe withdraw symptoms since I haven't made a Christmas card for ages.
The papers are of course Doodlebug it was then I felt a bit lost how to decorate the card. I felt I should have some daffodils but I don't have a die so thats why I decided to used some Stitched Clouds from Memory Box and that seemed to work. The sentiment if from the House Mouse clear stamp set.

Newton Nook
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Showers and Flowers Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is
Anything Goes
This week we are showcasing Newton's Nook Products. You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
What's better than one Pug that'll be two not sure if my body colour is correct but they still look cute. I've used the fab Newton Nook Pug Hugs even brought the dies too.
Now lets see if I can remember what I used first off the papers are Echo Park I Love Family, one design was wood looking so I cut my Memory Box Birch Tree with it. Now you can really see it but I cut in half, the first bit with the branches stick out the top of my sentiment mat and you can just see the base just below one of the pugs. To make it look a tree I added some leaves with Poppystamps Sprig die.
I cut my sentiment mat using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and the actual sentiment came with the Pug Hugs stamp set. Once all stuck down I realised I had a large white space the top half of the rectangle and it annoyed me. Orginally I thought of stamping paw prints but didn't have one small enough, will have to rectify that one soon. But I did know I have some paw print dies from Paper Smooches Dog Icon Wise dies, the actual die I used is the one with a paw print inside the circle it was just the right size. The paw print was cut from the scraps left over from cutting the tree.
Do you use Instagram ? If so please add #ssswchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too.

Grumpy Skater
I need quite a few mens cards just for myself to send and I'll be honest I'm not keen on making them. Not even sure this one works although I love the image from Dr Digi who make brilliant men images.
Oops I've just noticed a bit of leftovers from die is sitting on my sentiment, trust me its not there now.
The papers are really, really old and I made the frame using my Simon Says stamp Stitched Rectangles but added a red mount to help it pop. The stars are Simon Says Stamp and you noticed I've used their Stitched fishtail banner, yes you guessed it didn't stamp well and it had to be replaced. The other sentiment is from Stampin Up seemed perfect for the image.
I getting a bit cheesed off with my health at the moment I seemed be suffering from minor aliments one after the other.

Beer Hat
I had the perfect papers for these photos. I had to add the orange because of what my DD is wearing.
The border is a Memory Box die with a sneaky join which even I can't work out.
It's a simple layout to try and speed my scrapbooking up. The title is made up with Cricut letters and Memory Box Alphabet dies.

Hedgie Flowers
I'm using my new MFT edging dies not that you can see, my Penny Black image is hiding it along with my Upsy Daisies flowers.
Yes my papers are Doodlebug not sure which pack. I think my leaf swirl die is also MFT.
My image is from a clear stamp set again not sure which and my craft room looks like a bombs hit it so not sure where the stamp set is at the moment. So my first job today is to tidy up.

Beer Dwarf
So I needed a card for my BIL who is known as Grumpy and he does love a drop of beer, so this image called Dwarf 6 from Mo Manning was perfect.
He was a bit of a devil to layer, so parts had to have part tucked under another layer but part still had to be on top but in the end he was worth it. Once the layered were dry I used a silver pen for the diamonds on his wrist bands. When that was dry with a cocktail stick and glossy accents I added a drop into each diamond to give them a realistic look.
The papers are some very old ones, some people who have been scrapbooking many years will recognise Basic Grey I think they were called Vagabond. I brought the beer die from Ally Pally and used a white pen and a gold pen to make my label.
I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Frames with the MFT Stitched Stars to decorate. The sentiment is one that is left on my desk using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Banners. Since its a mans card that was pretty much it.

Right lets see if I can remember all the details for my card. First off is the Spellbinders Floral Oval I
think in my craft room this die is rated an essential its the perfect size for my cards and US size cards too.
Before I took it out of the die I covered the frame and torn pieces of paper and cover randomly down the one side and used the Tim Holtz Mini Stencil set 3 with Rose Apple Inkpad and Inkylicious brushes.
I decided to use the stencil to make a strip which I had to move the stencil carefully matching up the previous row of bricks then cover what I had already done, don't forget to cover the hole in the stencil, this was my second strip.
I then had to decide on the leaves, I was hoping to use the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves but the leaves were too large for the dainty Prima Angela Flowers. In the end I used the Memory Box Botanical Leaves twice, one of which as been cut to make the stem shorter. Added the flowers or in my case how many could I used, still have some left even after using all of these.
I couldn't find the sentiment I wanted to use so in the end I got out my Simon Says Stamp Sending Die and the matching stamps Sending and Wishing stamp set. The plan was to stamp directly to the card which I did then promptly needed the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Banners to stamp on the smaller one and cover up my pants one.
The corner of the Oval I didn't like how my inking turned out so I decided to use a Memory Box Pippin Butterfly with the matching Isabella. I do like a back to my butterflies you hide the tape and sticky square which give my butterflies shape.
Nearly forgot the butterfly body is using Doodlebug Lily White Sprinkles.

Towelling Babe
Forgot to schedule the post, I seemed to do every time there is a new challenge on Everybody Art Challenge this week is for Blue and One colour. In my case its Blue and Yellow, lets not notice the flesh tones I used to colour the body.
My sweet image is obviously a Mo Manning's called Out of the Tub. The papers are Lawn Fawn and my ducks are Memory Box. You may have noticed that there's an odd today stuck to my card thats because I decided you could use 1 or 2 numbers which I have cut and there's double sided tape on the reverse. It will either get used or I'll pop in a plastic baggy with the numbers.
Hope you can join us for our new challenge.
Hope you all had a good Easter break, I had two roast dinners which would be fine but for the wine I managed to drink not a good idea on SW. I didn't get a chocolate egg instead I got a DVD and cuddly rabbit. Still managed to have taste of chocolate from Hubby's and DD.
Today my sister is popping round and we are making a start of 70 little favour boxes.

Air Show
I like how I used some of the planes for my title, which are cut with Memory Box Alphabet dies.
Pretty much it, more of a case of recording the fact with some of the photo's and remember I'm trying to speed my scrapbooking since I'm only on 2014.

Lamb, Beef, Pork or a pair of Geese!!!
Excuse my title but at Easter there is nothing better than a good old Sunday Roast, not sure why my pair of geese reminded me of that fact but there you are, there's nowt stranger than folk.
Anyway back to my card which is for Penny Black Saturday Challenge midway reminder, this time I've gone for more Spring than Easter and yes I've gone for a really quick card.
My geese are an old Penny Black Wooden stamp that lucky for me doesn't need much colouring. The new edge dies are from MFT, well you have to try them out, do need a bit more practice.
The papers are Doodlebug not sure if they are the Easter pack or the Spring one I have both so it could be either. The flowers are Simon Says Stamp Hydrangea die with the mini flowers for the centres and I've a feeling the sentiment is too.
I've had a couple of rest days, we finished the invitation making late and I knew I had overdone it so I made sure I had a proper rest before going swimming yesterday. I also did some relaxing in the pool which helps with the tension you get when you're in pain. Afterwards I did some colouring ready to card make today while watch the first series of Poldark, yes I know you're all waiting for the third series but has much has I like Aidan Turner ( He made a cute Dwarf in The Hobbit) he's no Robin Ellis.

Super Mason
I can now show my Gt Nephews card, I've had this perfect image for his Birthday card hiding in the wings for ages but he's fourth Birthday as been and gone now.
He loves Super Heroes and Mo's Superduper image is perfect, add the Doodlebug papers and you have perfect pair.
I used Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to make my frame round the image and the Stitched Stars are MFT as well as Simon's Bundle of Shapes. There is a scallop border but its hidden not sure if that was Lawn Fawn or Simon Says Stamp.
I have a little banner punch from Stamping up to make my fishtail pretend hinges and the dots are made with a 1/4 punch. The four could be Simon Says Stamp but the Today is from All Ocassions dies.

Cool Chick
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Anything Goes Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is
Spring Color Inspiration
The lovely Jenn Shurkus has made this gorgeous Inspiration Board for us to use, Thanks Jenn xx
This week we are showcasing Lawn Fawn Products. You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Oops I think I've done it again and not paid enough of attention for the challenge especially when Jenn spent time making a inspiration mood board. At least there is yellow colour in the board because there's plenty of that in my card.
An Easter chick isn't just for Easter which is why I used it this way, I apologise again for the crooked photographer that Doodlbug Twine is straight and so is my sentiment.
I've used Lawn Fawn Lets Polka in the Meadow, along with their Valentines Borders. I parted the dies and didn't use the the arrows now they work all year round.
My Chick and sentiment if from the Somebunny from Simon Says Stamp along with the Stitched Rectangles. Rather than leave the background plain again and have my card looking samey (is that even a word) I decided to emboss it. I could have used an embossing folder but I often forget that I can emboss with stencils this one is called Falling Hearts from Simon Says Stamp.
Today I'm making Wedding Invites with my Niece, the dining table has been cleared and is ready for mass production.

Embossed Hearts
I'm pretty sure, it's not a new challenge on Everybody Art and lucky for me I have a card in my drafts for my blog post. A cute LOTV image which I now have has digi.
I cut out the circle before embossing with an old cuttlebug folder, then added some ginghambehind with the little chap cut out to fit inside the circle. I used my nestabilities to ,age a little frame to give a finished look.
The sentiment are Simon says Stamp, so is the word die. Yes I know it's simple but that seems my way at he moment.
It's been over a week since I have been in my craft room, somehow instead of recovering from a busy weekend, I went straight into hay fever which have messed up my sinuses to give a terrible headache. It's not perfect but I think I finally got on top of it now just keep taking the pills and spray.
I so impressed with myself this morning. Hubby has brought me breakfast and I'm blogging on my IPad, now lets see if Mr Blogger posts!!!

Crochet and Update
I'm not sure what impresses me the fact this image, I took with my ipad and managed through air sharing got it onto my main pc (Ok I had to send it to my phone first) or the fact I finally finished the surrounding squares of my Christmas colours Demelza blanket.
If you have made the blanket you will have realised that I have replaced the stripes with the small squares, only because I wasn't keen on them and the the blanket is for me so therefore I should make the way I would like.
Of course I hadn't worked out instead of 16 squares, 8 of each colour. I actually needed 32 altogether, 16 of each colour. They were finished going up and down the motorway seeing Hubby's brother.
I've a few more rows to finish the main square and it will be the joining and border.
I've already decided my next blanket, it seems I have three baby blankets to make this year, hopefully now I'm up to three it will stop there. I've actually brought a pattern from Julie Yeager on Raverly called Faded Love which I think would work in pastel colours perfect for a baby whether a boy or girl.
I was so looking forward to an easy weekend but its got busy with a tea-party with my superhero great nephew's birthday on Saturday and Hubby is taking my Sister and myself to Ally Pallyon Sunday so will need to raid my craft money box.

Wizard Boy
I know its very simple but I love my clouds die from Memory Box and its perfect for Mo's Wizard Boy, apologies for not added orange stripes to my scarf.
This card also gave me a chance to add the birds using new dies, can't remember if they are Poppystamps or Memory box. I had the perfect die for the sentiment from Waffle Flower and used various stamps for the rest of the sentiment. You can see the Birthday Wishes are inside a long oval, this was because the Birthday didn't stamp well so I had to punch that out and stick a sentiment through the window.
Love Mo Manning's images, why don't you join us this months Anything Goes Challenge that starts today.

Happy Birthday
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Anything Goes Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is
Happy Birthday!
We are celebrating the Wednesday Challenge's 8th Birthday his week! Where has the time gone! They do say that time flies when you're having fun and we hope that you have as much fun with the challenges as we do! We all really appreciate YOU for joining in with us and we look forward to seeing your birthday themed entries!
This week we are showcasing our very own Simon Says Stamp Products. You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
A birthday is always special and the lovely and very generous Heidi will be giving away not one, not two but EIGHT, yes EIGHT $50 Vouchers to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store. Woo Hoo!!
What a great chance of winning a prize, celebrate with us and join in with our Happy Birthday Challenge.
Can't believe I've been with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge that long, WOW. I wish I had a bit more time on my hands to redo my card, the black part of sentiment is now annoying me. If I could work out how to unstick my bunny I would change it to blue. I think I was proving to myself I could stamp in different colours.!
I really wanted to use the sentiments on the Some Bunny set to prove it wasn't just for Easter but the there was a problem with the stamp. Now these things happen especially with the numbers that Simon Say Stamp sell. I always think its how you're treated when things goes wrong tells you how good the store is. So I got in touch with an e-mail to Customer Service, there was no quibble and another stamp set is winging its way over the ocean.
The paper are My Favourite Things Merry and Bright and I used the fabulous Circle of Leaves and the Stitched Squares from Simon Says Stamp. My flower is of course the Stitched Daisies from Simon says stamp and the little border its sitting on is made up with the scallop stitched border and stitched edge that comes with Simon Says Stamp Bundle of shapes.
Now the tricky part, where did I get the sentiments from, I know they are all Simon Says Stamp. Right the sending you is from the Love stamp set and I worked out the rest came from the Best Hugs stamp set.

Bookmark
The new challenge on Everybody Art is for Anything but a card, not my favourite type of challenge and I reckon I've taken the easy route with my Bookmark.
I got these Newton's Nook stamp for Mother's Day it was perfect for the challenge so I had to use it.
I used the Stampin Up Tag punch on a scrap piece of paper and marked the image paper so I could work out where to cut.
I backed it with pretty pink card but it need something more and it just so happened that MFT Merry and Bright paper pack on my desk. It worked a treat but there was something still missing. I needed paw prints, couldn't think of stamp although I know I've got one somewhere. I did know I had a Paper Smooches die but thought they were all too big but I checked. One of the dies had a small paw inside a small circle and as you can see it blooming perfect.
Now all I need is to find a cat person who reads real books to give it to.

Poppies
Still scheduling my post not sure if I'll be up early today after a great time at the crop yesterday. I thought I would post my favourite layout from the retreat. I know its very simple for me but I did say my layouts like my cards need to quick.
It does look so much better in real life. The poppies have been cut several time from a Memory Box die, first in green and then in red. I decided to paper piece them flat, couldn't bear to embossing and layer them. There was so many.
The clouds are Memory Box too and the birds are a Simon Says Stamp stamp but I've managed to get my hands on some Memory Box dies of flying birds. Look forward to using them.
My title cut using a cricut, not sure on the papers probably Echo Park of Simple Stories.

Easter Hedgie
The crooked photographer is back, I got my ruler out to check that it is in fact square but you wouldn't think though. So please try ignore the leaning card, simply didn't have time to photo it again.
This is possibly my last Easter card and its for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is for Easter/Spring but I have check the other DT challenges but I pretty sure those no eggs involved in the forthcoming challenges.
My papers are Doodlebug but you knew that, my flower is Simon Say Stamp Stitched Daisies and this is the smaller one of the three. I have mislaid one of my MFT Upsy Daisies die, I was gutted especially has I know they have been retired. Lucky for me I find one on Ebay and it came pretty quick too.
Enough waffling, my leaves are Poppystamps and has become a favourite still wish I discovered my other daisies was missing I think my card need a bouquet of daisies. To make up for it I used my
La la Land corners and just wouldn't do.
I've had to schedule my post off to Scrap Cafe crop at the Hilton in Bracknell this morning, my bags are packed and hopefully I organised its just me this month both my partners in crime are busy this time.
