Willow

Another trip up North and another blanket, I got the evil eye from Hubby when I mentioned I needed more wool for another blanket so I had to make do with all the pastel colours I had left from various projects but I did order some more white.

The square is called Willow I do love this pattern and love you can change the colours for the rows to give a different looking Blanket.

I also tried a new pattern for the edging using Attic 24 scallop border but I found the slip st awkward so changed it to SC which I found quicker but I think that what made it a bit floppy so next time I may just change my crochet hook.

Oh dear blanket finished and off we go up North so new crochet challenge a star baby's blanket, the pattern is quite easy but my problem my crocheting was loose and irregular so I changed my needle and thinking I should of used white instead of cream but its started now and I don't plan to change it now.

A beautiful blanket - it's lovely in the pastel colours. Crochet is one craft I've never managed to master, so I envy anyone who can make such lovely projects!

What a beautiful blanket Debby, such pretty colours and I love the look of the star, there have been some real beauties over at Repeat Crafter Me. I am still slogging away at an Attic 24 blankly...it's been put away for a bit though as its now quite large and its been too warm in the evening's to be underneath it!! xx

Debbie, I LOVE your blanket. My daughter is expecting in January and I have started her a Willow blanket. Mine is also pastels. So far I have 5 different colors. I have been searching for the color to join them with and the border color. I love the white you have used. I am wonder if you'd let me know how many squares you used as a total. I only have the pattern for the Willow square and am putting the blanket together on my own. Also it looks like you have more than 5 colors. My pastels are a bit lighter than yours. Thank you so much for sharing this. it is just beautiful.
