Valerie in Winter

The new challenge over on Everybody Art challenge is for Winter and it just so happened that I brought the this fabulous set from Mo Manning called Valerie in Winter very apt don't you think.
Valerie is perfect for all types of cards fussy ones and CAS ones. I'm afraid since last week wasn't a good week for me and card making wasn't on top of my list I went the CAS way and I have to say I really enjoy making all three.

Isn't this so clever and I used my fun flock and flowersoft mixture to make the snow, the papers are Stampin Up and the snowflake is a combination of Simon Says Stamps, MFT and do crafts punch. The scallop border is Memory Box.

It just so happened I have been playing around with the Merry Trees stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamps so that made my sentiment decoration and once again my fun flock and flowersoft mixture for my snow.

I believe this style of card was called a tent card used to make them a lot a couple of years back. This time I used the fun flock and flower soft mixture for the snowman. The icicles are a grass die from MFT and they made the small  kraft snowflake too. Simon Says stamps snowflake die made the the larger white one and the little tags are first a stampin up punch now retired but I drew around one  to make the red mats.

A bit of an update Mum is in hospital and wasn't as well last night but in good spirits and she was itching to watch Emmerdale while we were there, a sure sign she's better than she was but my Dad hopefully has just a very heavy cold cos he not 100%. I suppose to be taking it easy which isn't happening cos I'm so behind but we off to visit MIL at the weekend and when we get back apparently Christmas will have arrived in the house has DD is going to put the decorations out.
