Snowcouple

I really not sure about my card today, since its Saturday I've used a Penny Black but I'm not sure about the papers. They're are some old Stampin Up ones which I thought was about time I used but they make my white snowman look a bit odd.
My poinsettias are from Simon Says Stamps Poinsettia Parade and the Holly swirl is from Penny Black.
The electrician turned up yesterday and now the shed lights up like a Christmas Tree if you so much as breath in our garden, he also put a plug under the stairs he jokingly asked if Harry Potter was coming to live here.
I did make some tags yesterday, they turned out OK but I also made another wart, come back Mr Mojo.

Simon Says Stamp Christmas

A bit of a treat this morning I'm posting both the CAS I made the other day in hope I will forget what should of been a couple of quick cards was a comedy of errors.
The first card is made with the new Simon Says Stamp Kit which have the fabulous hologram butter gold embossing powder along with the smooth elegant mink gold powders. They only thing was as soon as I soon them I knew I wanted to use the Simon Says Stamp Ornaments stamp and die set with the added black colour. The sparkle and shine sentiment was on the stamp set that comes with the kit. Haven't touch any of the fabulous card that came with the kit yet.

This card has been in my head for a while, I have a few scraps of Doodlebug Christmas papers left and thought about making a stick tree but rather than do that I remembered that I have the Layered tree set from Simon Says Stamp from last year. I ended up with quite a few bits to make several trees. Using the snow falling stamp from the Be Joyful stamp set from last months kit and WOW Bright White embossing powder to make my snowy background. I know this doesn't give me the dimension of the stencil and paste but its a lot less messy.
Added lots of sparkle to my star and then when replacing it in the pot it went everywhere but. My sentiment was off the same stamp set as the snow.
I don't think the Less is More Challenge this week is for one layer so I'll enter my top card.

Love me, Love my Penquin

Is anyone else having problems leaving comments on Blogger, sometimes is wont let me write in the comment box, its not even the same blogs different ones each day, most annoying when you're trying to catch up.
Anyway back to my card today, its called Snowpals from Mo Manning and I've used quite a bit of Flower soft mixed with fun flock to make the fuffly edging on their clothes. The papers are Doodlbug and once again I used my upside down grass die from MFT this time though I go around to getting the glamour dust out to make it icy.
My snowflake is from Simon Says Stamps and yes I have double layered can't stop doing it now and I finished it with a star button I found in my button box.
It's been a bit of emotional roller-coaster of a week so far but I did get into my craftroom yesterday but soon gave up when everything went wrong, stuck the things on the card the wrong way round, split glamour dust everywhere, dropping things constantly, it got to a point that after what seem hours I made two very simple cards. So hung up my craft pinny and went and watched telly!!!!!!!!

This card sort of made itself, I was so impressed that the Be Joyful stamp set from Simon Says Stamp has a snow falling stamp I had to use it again, using WOW embossing powder. I then made I saw that I still had some Be Joyful trees left over from another project so I decided to make a little scene with my Lawn Fawn Winter Penquin.
I've used Chevron Clouds and I saw one of team-mates using clouds this way so I thought it would stop it looking plain. My snowdrift was made with the Curved Border from Spellbinders. To finish I used the sentiment from the Merry Trees stamp set and some Stardust Stickles.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

In the Pink

Snowflakes is the new challenge on Everybody Art which will help my Christmas card tally. Poor Mo's Winter Fairy Halla I've made him into a girl so I could use pink.
I've used the Stately Circle from Spellbinder again to frame my image and I've used the MFT Flourish die to replace the swirls I had cut off the image. I've used the Memory Box frostyville border with Maryann Snowflake from Simon Say Stamps. Upside down grass die and to finish some glitter and flower soft with fun flock.
Do pop over and check out the team.

Winter Wedding

I know I hadn't been sleeping well so when the alarm went this morning I turned it off to have an extra five minutes, hour and half later I woke. I think under the circumstances I will allow myself that.
It does mean that my body has woken up by my head is still trying to get back to sleep and I'm not sure which drafts are for what but I do know that out of the three wedding cards one had to be rejected and its this one!
My couple has to be one of my favourite wedding images and its from Tiddly Inks, the papers are from Echo Park. The couple are inside a Stately circle from Spellbinders and one of my mats are headed with a Joy die.
The snowflakes are Simon Says Stamps and yes they've been layered twice. The sentiment is from WOJ and I've used the Stampin Up punches.

Pure Innocence

I have to thank my lovely Gretha my team-mate from Mo's Dream Team for the idea of using the Poppystamps stamps has a border, love it so much I'm sure this will be used again before Christmas.
My little angel is a Pure Innocence and those papers are Doodlebug again.
The sketch if from Freshly Made Sketch for this week although I love how this turned out, I feel it should have a sentiment or ribbon. Trouble being I couldn't find a sentiment small enough, pretty sure I have one somewhere, as for the ribbon just couldn't work out where. Still it is cute and another card done.
Once again I'm pleading with Mr Blogger to post my schedule post, we should be back sometime today.

Wrap up a Friend

You must be sick of Christmas cards, I know I am but I'm still struggling on and this weekend won't help the tally but love ones are more important. So I reckon I will be still making and posting cards on the last posting date.
My version of CAS is the order of the day although I must get over sticking two snowflakes together to make them stand out better. Of course my cute critters are Penny Black well it is Saturday after all. Papers are Doodlebug why didn't I get two packs cos I do love the papers for cards.
Upside down grass die from MFT for the Icicles, snowflakes an old Cuttlebug die and the stars are on the same die.
Some Stickles for snow so the the critters are grounded and not floating in the air.
Fingers crossed Mr Blogger will post this for me on Saturday since we will be probably somewhere on the M40. They are also crossed that things are not as bad as we think but I've sneaking feeling they could be.
Just in case any would be burglars are reading my blog, the house isn't empty since DD still lives at home and  is looking forward to some peace and quiet to study for an exam.

Snowfalling bear

Finally after making Wedding cards and DT commitments just a card for Christmas. I've used the sketch from Mojo Monday, love how they work for busy cards as well as CAS. Saying that although my card looks busy with the different papers it was a case of mat and layer with just a large snowflake.
So of course my cute image is James the Bear from LOTV, the papers are Lily Bee but pretty sure they're not available now.
My snowflake is from Simon Says Stamps and the button in the middle is actually one cut out from MFT  and yes I layered them both twice. Sentiment is from LOTV.
Not sure I will get into my craft room today will see how I feel but really should be resting ready for the car journey tomorrow, but the postman brought me the Simon Says Stamps kit and I'm so tempted.

Do you wanna build a Snowman

Some new images should be arriving in Mo's Shop soon and I had a chance to use them for our Fairies Blog Hop. While I was re-sizing them to suit my cards, I felt I right fool because the fairies were building a snowman and it only seemed right to put them all together.
But it did mean it made a huge image although I think I could possibly make them just a touch smaller but they were fun to put together singing Do you wanna build a snowman.
Its a fairly simple layout with some snowflakes and stars with an awful amount of flower soft and fun flock to make my snowballs.
If you're following the Blog Hop you should have arrived from my fellow teamie Julie and you need to HOP, SKIP AND JUMP over to Alice.
Don't forget to comment on everyones blog to be in with chance to win one of the two vouchers hidden along the way.

I love the Stitched Bundle of Shapes so much so I'm leaving it permanently on my desk and I couldn't resist to use for my Thank you card.
My Penny Black stamp is a cling called From Me to You  it fairly large image so perfect for the frame. I used Simple Stories Homespun using the banner from the bundle as well as the main mat.
My Thanks die has been layered twice because I thought it might get lost in busy patterned paper. All finished with some Holiday Shapes hearts.
I always feel a bit guilty making a CAS for DT but I really like how this turned out.
So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Kit Trees

A couple of cards that I made with last months Simon Says stamps kit, the first one is using a sketch but I can't remember where from so I've probably missed the deadline anyway. edited I've discovered the sketch came from Addicted to CAS and is still open for entries.
First off I had to use the Bundle of Stitched shapes from Simon Says Stamps which worked great for this sketch.  The Merry came from the Ornaments stamp set and the Christmas die all came from Simon Says Stamps. The trees are a stamp set  included in the kit but can be brought and is called Be Joyful.
Not forgetting my double layered snowflake another Simon die called Maryann.

Now for my wart, the card is using the Be joyful stamp from the kit but foolishly I used green and gold together and you can't see the gold. Will have to retry this with a different coloured tree.
I'll be back at 2pm with my Simon Say Stamps Wednesday Challenge card.

Stars

Finally a card, probably because its for the new challenge over on Everybody Art Challenge this week is for circles or at least one circle.
Maybe there's more than one on my card but that was because I used the Full Card of Bubbles from Simon Say Stamps which I then used sticky fixers to raise it slight above the actual card.
Then using Holiday Shapes from Simon again, I placed stars inside each circle, to help with sticking I put double sided tape on the gold paper before cutting out.
The sentiment is on a Spellbinders Stately circle with an ordinary circle on top with the Simon Says Stamps Merry Christmas die.
The fabulous bit or organza ribbon came from my PB teamie Greta with my Birthday card which just happens to be a perfect colour.
Do pop over and check out the team and hope you can join us this week.
Hubby's Mum is having some issues and although we had planned to visit in December we have decided to go up to see her this weekend as well to find out for ourselves how bad things are. So I got down to making the Winter Weddings cards in the end I made three but only two are needed so even if my Christmas cards are not all ready, DD cards are.

Wedding Pages

Sorry folks another day with no cards they still drying so I leave you with a few of the Wedding Pages I made using larger photos. I still have a few Wedding photos I still want to Scrapbook. Don't you love the Love sentiment is an Avery Elle and the corner flourish is from Spellbinders.

We got given a 12inch paper stack and one of the challenge was to use it, this was my attempt.

I used the Bricked embossing folder and cut round the brick to help give the random shape, before sticking it down.

The Spellbinders frame wasn't used for a card but it worked well to bring your eye to the couple without losing the Clandon House in the background.
Well thats another four layouts to my total of 48, not sure I will get another four done by the end of the year. Christmas cards are giving me nightmares but I keep telling myself that I have enough to send abroad at the beginning of the month and the rest have till the last posting date. But I do like to have all the cards written and done by the first week of December will have to accept that won't happen this year. Especially has today I plan to make two Winter Wedding cards ready for DD who has two friends getting married in December.

Wedding Pocket Pages

I don't have a card this morning well not photographed and I'll rather take a picture in daylight. So I have a few Pocket Pages of the Verity's Wedding although while writing this post, I realise that I haven't added the date or their names, whoops.
I had so many photos and more when Verity gave me a disc of some professional ones, it was hard to whittle  down to a few.

I made them at the retreat but I found this hard to do because I kept thinking I could of used something that was at home. But I am pleased how they turned out now, I've a few photos I printed out in a larger format to make some proper 12 by 12. I reckon I can call these at least 3 layouts so that take me to week 44.
Not many cards were made yesterday which was a pity but I've done most of the inserts for the Christmas Cards I've made so far. Today I need to finish them off and pack some things made for Mum's Nursing Home Christmas Fair next Saturday.

snowfalling

Sorry a bit late this morning but I don't set my alarm at weekend and its been a long tiring week obviously my body needed a bit extra sleep this morning.
Once again a CAS card using this weeks Freshly Made Sketch with one of the cutest Penny Black Christmas Images.
First my snow now you know I love the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil simply a must have for Christmas cards, you can use it for randomly dotting with a white pen or marking where you want to use Liquid Pearls and it fabulous when you use texture paste but all this takes time. You know by now I pretty much a lazy card maker if I can get away with it so when I discovered that the Be Joyful stamp set from Simon Says Stamp has a Falling Snow stamp and looked how it worked. First off stamp all over the card with Versamark then I used another discovering WOW Bright White Embossing it doesn't set creamy.I'm so please how the snow turned out, be warned I love this so much it will be happening again.
I also used the curved borders from Spellbinders to make my snow drifts which I tried to match on the white mat under the image as well.
The Snowflake Maryann once again from Simon Says Stamp and I don't seem to be able to stop cutting them out twice and layering them. The little button is from MFT cut twice and layered!
Lastly the sentiment is again from Simon Says Stamp from the Holiday Labels set.
