I've got a pile of coloured images waiting to be made into cards and this was one of them. The image is the brilliant Engineer from Mo Manning and ideal for those pesky mens cards. The sketch I've used from this weeks Stamp with Fun and the papers are freebies from magazine.
I tried to used the picket fence for rail track and pop some strips to break up the corner and some faux brads too to try and stop it looking plain. Had a job finding a sentiment stamp small enough to fit in the smoke but found a random clear one.
Well I'm off to Scrapbuddies crop today at Mychett Community centre, have another mini book to make for a present so that should keep me out of trouble.

WOW, weel done Debby it does look like a rail track!!!!
I am surprised that you colour your images first. Isn't it extra hard to find matching paper etc.?? I think about my card and cardstock, try to find paper (takes me foreever!!!) and embellies and then I start colouring which is hard enough because my Promarkers often just don't have the right shade......life of a crafter is hard LOL!!!!
Have a lovely day, Irene

Another card I just love!
My history is interwoven with trains.
My grandfather was a railroad contractor across the United States and Canada. Most of his sons (my Dad included) became Engineers or Conductors with the CPR. Female cousins (and me at one point in my life) were operators, train machine clerks, car knockers. etc. Male cousins were dispatchers and chief dispatchers.
I am gong to track down this image...it would be so perfect for my family cards!
Love this Debby, the picket fence makes a great railway track :0)

Clever girl. The picket fence/railroad ties definitely works well. Grandpa looks to be having a lot of fun here and super cute steamy sentiment. Hugs, Kathy
