Flags and Banners are the challenge this week on Everybody Art Challenge and to me that also said Bunting which meant I could use MFT bunting die.
So I decide to use this little chap from LOTV and the papers are My Minds Eye, of course being a boys cards that also means hardly any embellishments once I've added the bunting. The border is Martha Stewart zig zag punch which comes out everytime I decide to make one of the troublesome cards.
Also the 1/4 inch circle punch from stampin up comes out in full force to make faux brads.
Do pop over to check out the team its well worth the trip.

Tilda in the Pink
The camera has done its best job to make poor Tilda look wishy washy and made the sparkling butterflies look grey and moth like.
I followed the sketch on Cute Card Thursday and for a change I used some flowers out of my stash. The papers are Prima and of course the border is deep edge doily punch from Martha Stewart.I cheekily added a friend sentiment so I can enter the Just Magnolia challenge.
I can't say I had the greatest time at the Glitter Pot since I brought Mr Grumpy version 2 (BIL is version 1) and DD came along too but she was suffering from the night before and it kind of kept the sparkle out of the visit.
Waved to Jenny from Hobby Art she was surrounded the whole time there, Jane Gill was making the amazing flowers and there was a loving arty lady (sorry forgotten name) that had lovely grungy Art.
There was a lady making cards with the Wild Rose stamps and I picked one of them up, thought they were a very good size.
It didn't look like I brought much but it still came to my limit. I brought another Echo Park paper Kit My boy this time to use for scrapbooking not card making and some plain card sheet. To begin with I wasn't keen on Mimi from Penny Black but shes starting to grow on me so I brought one. Two packs of 6in paper, dinky leaf punch that might be too dinky, non-stick scissors and a memento inkpad and quickly grabbed a Hedgie to make my limit.
Back home by 1 just in time for the Monaco Grand Prix and for DD to have a nap!

Cool Girl
A quick schedule post just in case you didn't know, not that I haven't been telling everyone all week but its an early start tto go to The Glitter Pot. No Sis she swanning it in Spain, her Hubby dropped the bombshell at the begining of the week that he had booked the flights and booked into a hotel (their apartment is full).
My Hubby is half wishing he was working today especially now that he's worked out the Glitter Pot is the one where there is nothing around there, not sure how much time I will get before he starts getting grumpy but it won't effect the shopping.
Anyway this is suppose to be a quick post so back to the card, I've used the sketch from Stamp with Fun and the image is from Paper Shelter who have their own challenge blog and it Anything goes.
The papers are Delovely and the usual suspects are there, the retro flower the doily punch and the ribbon.
Back tomorrow with some new goodies.

Penny Black Girlie Girl card
This week on Penny Black Saturday Challenge its One for the Girls, lots of Pink and girly embellishments. Although this is an old wooden stamp I've used I believe she come as a cling stamp now. The papers are My Minds Lime Twist.
I've been a bit naughty with sentiment, I used it on a card that didn't make it but saved the sentiment its actually a stampin up stamp and punch with a woodware sentiment in the middle.
Flowers are EK success punch and the butterflies are a punch that I've had for ages.
Now we have a couple prizes this week from Fantastic ribbons and from 15% for life voucher from PB Stamps and do check out the team there always some fabulous work to inspire you.

A Bear for Dad
As I was trawling through some blog challenges I saw that Stamptacular Sunday had a BEARnecessities challenge which would work with some of the new LOTV stamps including this cute bear.
Add a fabulous sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and some My Minds Eye papers which looking at them now, bit too busy but this is what I finished up with. I just like to add that I was in the top 3 last week with Mo's chubby fairy.
The photo corners are punches and if its a male card out comes the faux brads, the sentiment is a Woodware one and I used a stampin up punch and then made a mat by punching out another one and drawing round it with fat nib pen to make a border round the punched template and then I cut it out.
I have used the cricut to cut various sized stars and I use them as templates its a bit quicker for one off stars and I able to position the templates on scraps of paper easier.
The weather doesn't look very promising for the weekend but apart from Sunday I shall have my head down getting on with loads of cards so that I will have plenty to show when I go on my hols soon.

A Fairy Spoonful
A Spoonful of Sugar challenge is for something with Wings and I don't think you can go far wrong with the gorgeous fairy baby image from Mo Manning.
I used First Edition papers Hideaway and this weeks sketch from Sketch Saturday.
I've kept it quite simple letting the image do the talking. The tiny flowers are a EK success punch and the lace border is again the MS deep edge doily punch.
The sentiment is LOTV and to finish off I had to add a touch of ribbon.
Nothing much happen on the homefront although it looks like Hubby won't be working this bank holiday and he foolishly asked if there was anywhere I like to go well it just so happens that The Glitter Pot has a demo day this weekend. Poor Hubby told me he couldn't go Saturday, thats OK I told him we can go Sunday instead. So fingers crossed for Sunday.

WOYWW
I've just spent the WOYWW getting messy making a DT card, have to say I not happy with it. Some of it works and parts haven't.
Look at all the distress inkpads, the plastic box in the background is where I keep my blending pads divided by bits of card with their names on, gosh how organised is that.
I think I need to lay down in a darken room for a while!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stars and Stripes
Its Stars and Stripes over on Simon Says Stamps Challenge this week and lucky for me I still have some of the stars paper left from Echo Park's My Boy. Probably because I brought a couple of more sheets and I found it very hard to use it cos it was my favourite.
I've used yet another Penny Black cling stamp from the latest release all available from Simon says Stamps.
I cut some stars out of the papers and used the cricut to cut out the large star which I used a couple of circle punches for the sentiment. The papers have a sheet of buttons which again I cut out and I couldn't help but finish them off with a couple of stitches each. I inked all the edges and added faux stitching.
Now don't forget there is a fabulous prize but you have to be in it to win it.
And pop over and check out the wonderful creations made by the DT.

EAC Sketch
We have a fabulous sketch over on Everybody Art Challenge and I've used it with this cute image from Paper Pretties our sponsor this week.
The papers are My Minds Eye and I had to sort of swop the sentiment and the flower because I thought it worked better for the sentiment to be where I sneakily added a bit of ribbon.
I cut the circles using the cricut and the edging is the Martha Stewart deep edge doily punch because the circles are quite large I've had to join the edging strip twice but I worked out where the sentiment and flower would be so that the joins would be hidden.
The flower is a EK Success retro flower this is the largest one I have but there is one even larger but I feel it would be too big for a card but is ideal for scrapbooking.
Do pop over to the challenge blog and check out the fab creations by the team.

hAnglar Baby Boy
There's a fabulous sketch over on Just Magnolia and hAnglar and sTanglar challenge and seeing as this little hAnglar chap was coloured and waiting to be used how could I not. The papers are Kaiser Lullaby, a collection of pink and blue papers perfect for baby cards.
I had to put the flowers opposite because I forgot them and I had already stuck the boy down and his wings would of got in the way.
The embossing folder is a cuttlebug but came with cutting die for sentiments which I never use. I confess that the sentiment is a peel off. Flowers are my favourite retro punch and the sentiment is punched out with stampin up punches.

Quick Card!!!!!!!!!!!
I was hoping that this Less is More card would be a quick one to do when I was short of time but best laid plans and all that.
The first one had a smudge were I couldn't hide, the second cos I used linen card the script stamp didn't print that well.
Third I stamped a sentiment direct to the card and it looked awful, finally I found some smooth card and it on fell into place.
The card was inspired by one I made at my friend Nikki's stampin up workshop.
LOTV Summer days
Summer Days is the challenge on LOTV and I thought this chap would be perfect, lazying on Summer afternoon after reading the paper. I've been dying to use these Kaiser papers but they're a bit grungy, I can't find the pack to name the design cos I can't find them now which is a bit annoying I had plans to use them again. Hope they reappear soon.
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday from the other week to start me off and then I decided I wanted to use the piece of paper with the postcard and I had to use the tickets, they were all in the 6inch pad. The faux brads are 1/4 inch punch from stamping up, embossed to make them rounded.
The sentiment is a stamp from Woodware but I've chopped it up to fit in the oval.to check out the fab team.

Fussy and Fancy
So you all loved the clean and simple Penny Black Saturday Challenge last week, well this week we're doing the opposite Fussy and Fancy.
I've used another cling (yes it maybe a new one) but I made a terrible mistake and one of the colours didn't match the papers I had choosen and it stuck out like a sore thumb.
After what seemed like hours of shuffling paper I decided that these Prima Madeline was the best of the bunch although not perfect.
Lots of Doo-Hickey swirls and some flowers and punched leaves, lace and ribbons, even embossing the oval mat with a busy embossing folder.
I have to say it was a lot easier making this card then the Less is More cards, that found themselves in the bin.
Well we have a fabby Penny Black Stamp to win this week and don't forget to pop over to the blog to check out the fab team.

Mo's Fairy
I love this chubby fairy from Mo Manning and I've since seen another one that is on my wish list. I've used this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday but I couldn't bring myself to cut the swirly paper from Kaiser so I used the MS doily punch border has the divide.
The fancy border is an EK success border punch but I cut an 1inch strip and laying you paper at the begining of the pattern on the punch. I punch one side of the strip then I turn the strip over. Starting at the begining of the pattern exactly where you started on the other side punch that side and you should find they all match together. I believe there is a Bramwell tutorial in u tube.
I used a sparkly pen all over the wings and image but I can see I forgot to sparklise my little star, that will be my first job this morning.
I'm really chuffed yesterday I brought a maxi skirt for my hols and I had to drop a size. I'm down to losing another 1lb thats 8lb altogether. Ok so when I go on my hols its all going back on but at least I know I can lose the weight when I get home.

hAnglar Baby
I'm amazed how clever the camera is, how its changes colours that matched the papers so it sticks out like a sore thumb. Also how photoshop is somehow in cahoots with it and refuses to acknowlegdg that the colour is wrong.
Hey Ho nothing I can do about it now. The sketch I've used to make the card is Sketch Saturday and the papers are Echo Park Springtime. I've gone slightly overboard with the Martha Stewart deep edge doily punch but I reckon this would count as lace so I can enter my card in Just Magnolia.
Retro flower punch with stamens from Leone-em and Woodware, finished with Stampin up circle punches.
Sentiment is computer generated.
My Sis is taking me shopping always a bit scary, she makes me spend my money and doesn't spend hers.

WOYWW and room mates!
One very scary tidy desk for WOYWW let hope I get some motivation to make a mess. Although saying that I've had pile of random stuff that is growing next to me on the right. Do I spy some grey stamps does this mean the boys are in the house!
So you've met Curly whose made himself home on my easel. But here's a couple of other guys who share my craftroom.
My LA bear squashed in a corner on a shelf he was pressie from my Son.
I'm pretty certains I called this chap Argyll and he stays there to remind me what happens when I order too much craft stuff they send me freebies for being a good customer which is how I acquired him.

Puddy Cat with Daisies
Simon Says Stamps Challenge is looking for Sparkle and Shine this week. We are also showcasing TatterAngels GlimmerMist Sprays.
I've used it to make my own backing paper, I've used Tutti fruitti and irridescent gold, I've also used the gold on the daisies only problem is that they have to catch the light to see how pearly they are otherwise they look a bit dirty!
I've punched out a frame using Martha Stewart around the page modern garland punch. My little puddy cat is one of the new clings which you can find here on Simon Says Stamps.
Flower centres have all been stickled with crystal stickles but you can get them in almost any colour you want.
We would love for you to join in and be in with a chance to win

High Hopes
So the challenge on High Hopes this week is to make something 3d like a gift bag or box. Last week Lacey had a tutorial on how to make this basket gift box and I thought it would be ideal to make for this challenge. So using this cute puddy cat stamps and some matching flower stamp I'm really pleased how it turned out, but being on an diet I didn't dare buy any sweeties to put inside.
Here's a close up of the puddy cat isn't she cute and her identical twin sister is on the back. The papers are Basic Grey and I've used the Martha Stewart doily punch for the lace trim round the circle mat and the handle. The flowers are the retro flower punch from EK success but I've used a pair of deckle scissor to chop the tops off to match the flower stamp.
I had to cut down the flower image so it would fit.
This will be my last High Hopes post as a Diva, I'm afraid that I've stepped down and all the Divas have sent me such supportive and wonderful messages. It's been an absolutely wonderful being a HH Diva and I adore the amazing stamps that Tina makes. So although it may be my last post as a Diva it won't be my last High Hopes card.

Toucan Tag
The challenge on Everybody Art Challenge you have to make a tag and we're being sponsored by Paper Shelter and even though we had some gorgeous digis to choose from I had to buy this toucan. My Hubby loves his Guinness and so does BIL, you might be saying whats that got to do with a toucan. But many years ago the Guinness adverts included a Toucan and for that reason I had to have him.
I also made the tag and put it on a card otherwise the tag just wouldn't get used. The papers are Echo Park My Boy and I've used Martha Stewart zig zag punch and the embossing folder on the tag is from Stampin Up.
Do check out the team, there some gorgeous creations and we would love for you to join us.

Cute Distress
LOTV challenge is for ribbon and bows and I used these Kaiser paper but they're a little grungy so I continue and inked round all the papers and used the blending tool on the image and sentiment to bring it all together.
So that means I can enter this card for the distressing challenge on Cute Card Thursday.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid and I used the deep edge doily punch for round the image mat.
I'm totally exhausted but I still have an appointment today with the vampire nurse and then I can collapse in heap and recover.
