New Home
This is the second of two New Home cards are needed to make which as made me wonder if I posted the other one and if not where is it, I hope I photo it before posting.
I knew I needed a cat on this card and that reminded me of Boo with Flowers from Mo Manning and its turned out perfect. The papers are Doodlebug and I paper pieced the Vase which helps to bring the papers together.
Its very CAS even by my standards, used a MFT frame and stamped the Altenew sentiment which was with their succulent stamps and my job was done but its about all I can do at the moment.
Just a reminder that Everybody Art Challenge triple fold challenge has another week to go so you still have time to join in.

AWOL
A whole week without posting, unheard off but with nothing in my drafts and having a rotten virus which is still giving me problems.
Now I thought I had nothing in my drafts but I found this card that I made for a special friend, you can see it wasn't an ordinary birthday.
I tried to make an inky, arty card to show how I love the way my friend card makes and scrapbook after several got ditched in the bin. I salvage the numbers and made an almost white card.
My cardstock is a Linen card and I used some favourite dies, Floral Ovals from Spellbinders, Foliage from Memory Box and the Hydrangea dies from Simon Says Stamp. The centres for the flowers are Lawn Fawn mini Snowflakes and the fishtail banner is from Simon Says Stamp too.
The numbers and sentiment are matching dies and stamps from Stampin Up.
Hopefully I'm on the mend and I have actually made a card for tomorrow but was shattered afterwards so it will be a little at time.

Thanks
A fairly quick card for the Midway reminder of the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is for Anything Goes.
Once again I've used the new Clear Stamp set called Party Friends, well new for me. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and Ovals and the fishtail is from their Bundle of Shapes but I cut it in half to make it look longer.
The papers are Echo Park called Party Time and I used it for the Bundle of Shapes Stars and word die.
Don't forget to join us, I don't think closing down time is Friday 3rd February evening.

Blog Hop
We're Blog Hopping on Mo's Dream Team and this month's theme is Hearts, I decided on a Wedding card using the gorgeous Garden Bride.
I used a stitched square die for the main image mat, she only just fitted but I was happy that by layering would hide that. I know its a very simple card but I hope its looks elegant too but I've noticed I forgot the bow, now I don't know if the card needs it not.
The hearts are Memory Box die but I used double side tape when I cut them out of the beige card so I didn't have to worry how to stick them to the card. I then using them again in the pattern paper, well actually I had to gut the main mat as I only had one piece left out of the Lawn Fawn pack.
To finish I used a Whiff of Joy sentiment, but I don't think they're trading any more.
Back to the Blog Hop now you should have arrived from Anneke and now you need to HOP, SKIP and JUMP over to Erin don't forget to comment along the way so you are in for a chance of one of the two $5 gift vouchers.

I had that sinking moment when I realised the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is for Anything but a card.
But I have in my possession a die that could make my life easier and that is the Tim Holtz Sizzix die for a matchbox. It was very easy to adjust the W R are Memory Keepers Urban Chic papers 6 inch papers on the die but you do have to make the base and drawer wrap separately.
I used a bit of Doodlebug Beetle Black twine to make my handles and stuck them all together to may a little chest of drawers.
Time to decorate, I needed flowers, this time I used Simon Says Stamp Hydrangea die but I add some Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes for theirs centres, the pearls I found in my stash. My leaves are Penny Black Jolly Holly die that I recently brought.
Apologies for the dodgy photos, I take my cards with a photo stand ( I know I still manage to take them crooked) but my little chest I had to take them free hand and the camera doesn't cope well with shaking hands.

Bella Fairy
The Everbody Art Challenge is now fortnightly so there's still time to join us. That means this Tuesday there is now challenge card but I made a card using a Stampin Bella stamp that I've been meaning to use.
The papers are Doodlebug from Summer last year, maybe a bit busy but I kep t the image simply and embellishments to the minimum.
I used a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle for my image, I didn't need to worry about chopping off her wings since I was layering another set. The flowers are a Memory Box die that seems to work well with punch circles for their centres and the leaves are theirs too with another flower die I was experimenting with.
I had to use Simon Says Stamp Stitched Fishtail banners for my sentiment because stamping directly to paper after sticking everything down never works for me and I have to hide my badly stamped sentiment.
I had great plans for card making yesterday but my body had a mini meltdown possibly I may have been overdoing it. But I have sorted my scrapbooking out did take longer to do and I have loads to do so I need to learn some fast scrapbooking.

Foam Hearts
This card was bit of an experiment and sort of inspired with this weeks Freshly Made Sketch but I had turned it and one of the mats are Simon Says Stamp Stitched Banners.
The little Hedgie is a new one stamp for me, its a clear set called Party Friends and I decided to use the Stacked Hearts again from Simon Says Stamp. I used foam with the die but coloured some of the foam hearts using copics, although the colour in RL does show up better I don't think I would try again.
I added a bit of Doodlebug twine and a Simon Says Stamp sentiment from their Uplifting thoughts.
Today I'm going through the rest of my 2014 photos and scrapbooking paper to make up some kits ready for crops and a retreat in March.

Crocheting Update
Planning for the trip to Falmouth at the New Year I decided to take the grey wool and the 12 square of Charlotte Cal, I did manage to complete quite a few but it left me one ball to complete five remaining and you guessed it I ran out before the last one was done. I ordered another one and maybe some other wool this was so I didn't pay postage!
There was me thinking my next colour was cream and I discovered for Part 3 I had to use the grey for one row all around the square, it was touch and go but lucky me that extra ball of grey just managed to get round all of them phew.
Whilst waiting for my grey wool I started a Laura Tegg Weebee doll, she sure has a big head and I've discovered the brown wool I'm using for her hair is coming up small, so I've frogged it (frogging it what its called when undoing what you've crochet) and will use a larger hook.
Recently I've been involved with a discussion about how blogging isn't as popular as it used to be. Many people are happy to use the like button on FB and Instagram rather than commenting on peoples blog. Made me think why did I blog in the first place. One of the main reasons was that I had a record of what I made and few times I've even check how I colour or used a die from a past card. I've always blogged for me and I know that my posts aren't everyday like it used to be but there are more than one reason why thats happening although I plan to try and do better.

Whispers
Feeling pretty good about this card, used some old Scrapbooking papers that I cut into 6inch square, I think they could be My Minds Eye but we are talking possibly several years ago. I also got to use the new image I've recently got from Mo Manning its called Whispers.
It was bit of nightmare to use the curve border die but I think I managed to make each side even. I used my all time favourite Floral Oval from Spellbinders its my go to oval when I want a frame, its a bit of pain to drawn round the middle to handcut the centre out but its so worth.
Trying to find some flowers in hope they will replace my EK punches they have had several years of constant use and I feel their days are numbered.
The words are Impression Obsession die, perfect size.
Well its suppose to get really cold here, well cold for the UK with gales and wait for it SNOW so the whole country will come to halt for a few cms but we wait and see.

Phew just made a card in time for this weeks challenge, I like to have my DT cards done at least a week before, this one was made yesterday.
I had already coloured the Lawn Fawn Winter Fox so it was just a case to use the die but I still layered him. I coloured the scarf to match the Reverse Confetti Warm Heart Papers which I used because they were new.
I had this idea to use the patterned paper to peek through but I wanted it to give a bit interest to what will be a quick card so I used Simon Says Stamp Scallop Stitches and Simon Says Stamp Wavy Scallop Stitched Borders die.
I really liked how it worked out and I added the another piece of patterned paper to mat it. Once I decided where I would put my fox I then used Simon Says Winter word die using the matching paper, even lined up the dot on i with the stripes.
I hunted through my stamps to find individual words, I found some on Simon Say Stamp Best Hugs. Since its a Winter Birthday there had to be a snowflake and I used Simon Says Stamp Maryann die and used the pattern papers.

Baby Bubbles
Yes I still can't get my act together and schedule a post just in case my body refuses to wake up but I'm here now and must do better well thats my plan.
Lucky for me the new challenge on Everybody Art Challenge is for Anything Goes and making a card at last minute meant somethin quick and simple. On another note the challenge is now once every two weeks but fingers crossed I will still post on Tuesday although non challenge weeks will be Anything I fancy card!
So back to my card which is using Baby Bubbles from Mo Manning, it cried out to be paper pieced and of course Doodlebug papers are ideal for this technique. These papers could be old ones since the front cover is missing but I know my Doodlebug papers.
Normally I would use Glossy Accents for my bubbles but I needed to photo my card before it got dark so I used a Wink of Stella pen instead but still prefer glossy accents because it gives dimension as well as looking like water.
Sentiment is an old Stamping Up and their punches and the butterflies are a Kars punch.

Washing Line
Time for the first challenge of 2017 on Penny Black Saturday Challenge and its a nice and easy one Anything Goes.
I decided the Washing Line Cat because I had already stamped him several times and also there are not too many layers.
The papers are My Minds Eye not sure where I got them but I love the colours. My layout is quite simple just using the Stitched Wavy Scallop border and my image mat I used the Stitched Rectangles.
Again for quickness I used the retro flower punch for the flowers and the sentiment is Stamping Up but its a really old one but for some reason it was on my desk!
A bit ribbon and the La Laland corner to finish.
Still haven't ventured into my craftroom this week for card making and today I'm going to a crop but I'm taking images to colour since my scrapbooking stuff is in a pickle and need sorting out.
Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog to see what everyone has chosen to make.

Kai in the Snow
The new monthly challenge has started on Mo's Challenge Blog love that I can use either an old favourite or new one.
This month I've used an old one of Kai in the Snow he or she (just colour it in pink) can be used for w winter Birthday or for Christmas.
I've used Echo Park papers, I think they could be a couple of years old now so probably not available now.
The border round my image is with MFT Crochet Border another old favourite you snip inbetween scallop so it can be folded round the circle mat. It was only right to use the Simon Says Stamp Snowflake border since I finally got my hands on one.
The scallop circle and circles are Stampin Up punches and nestablilites, the number one and today are a die I got a while back at craft show. Bit of ribbon to finish.
I'm slowly getting back to normal after a busy Christmas and even busier New Year which spent in Falmouth. We treated ourselves to a room with a view.

This week we are showcasing our very own Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Products. You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

Yes I know it looks like a Christmas card but life meant this Magical Christmas Stamp and Die set sat on my desk unused and I was itching to use them.
I first stamped with Dark Chocolate the fabulous stag head, I used the die on a scrap piece of card so I could put the negative over my stamped image and before adding the die. I did take a bit of time placing the die and it was so worth it.
I then used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Oval to give me a background for the Stags Head. I wondered whether the border could be cut down. It probably could but I loved how it turned out with the die so I left it alone.
The main mat was Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle using matching cardstock which allows me just a touch of mat and layering.
It still needed something so I used Lucy's White Christmas Shaker mix and added a few down the sides.

Sugar Nellie
This card was an experiment I do love how cardmakers bring a bit of colour round their images. So before I layered I blended some blue round my base image and then layered. I used the same inkpad to stamp the Paper Smooches sentiment. I think it worked out not too bad just have to remember not to be heavy handed.
The image is Sugar Nellie Digi not sure if he is still available but he is very easy to colour with a touch of grey in places where you expect a shadow.
I've no idea again where I am probably having a lie in. We've been away to Falmouth for New Year.
