Didn't have a clue

The drunken photographer is back, I've tried several times to photo this card but it still looks like its on the Titanic and I'm really am sober. I've used Dawn's sketch on Papertake Weekly with some High Hopes stamps from Bunny-Zoe, the papers are BG Granola and the MS zig zag punch.
So its going to be a busy weekend, have a class Sat morning and there's a crop at Mychett but not sure if we gonna make it now and my MIL is coming down for the week on Monday.
I might have another go to photo this card later its starting to annoy me.
edited the photo, still not sure why is still looking a bit crooked but its a bit better.

Tilda singing in the Rain

To me this Tilda is new because I brought her at the Glitter Pot on Saturday, everytime I mean to order her, she was sold out or I forgot and I couldn't justify paying postage just for her.
There is a brilliant sketch on Everbody Art Challenge and I was itching to use Tilda. The papers are BG Lemonade and I use the funky flowers punches and MS flourishes.
I'm dreaming of Bride and Grooms still have 68 to colour but I determined to have a break now and again.
Happy Birthday David

I do, I do, I do

I'm glad my niece didn't see this Bride and Groom by Penny Black because it took a while to colour in and has I love to 3d it, there are several pieces, that even I got confused. I used the the fab Wisteria BG and even though I brought two packs there's not much left.
I've used the fabulous sketch from A spoonful of Sugar and the challenge with Stamp with fun is to use pearls. I've used my new EK sucess punches from Crafts U love for the flowers, I do have the large one too but I think the two smaller sizes are going to be the most useful.
There 's been a new development on the Wedding Invitations they are wanted like next week so far I have 8 bride and grooms ready to cut out only another 92 to go!

I don't believe it

So what did I say I didn't do on Friday would that be distressing and whats the challenge this week on Simon Says Challenge, yes you guessed it, DISTRESSING (sorry to shout).
I had to take a deep breath and this time I left the Tim Holtz distress tool in its bag and chose to use distress ink pads on the cardstock but thanks to the photographer I couldn't get it to show, I took ages inking everying in sight. The papers are K & Co and I even inked the flowers so they could be distressed too. I found my pokey tool so paper pierced to help the distress look finished off with A Sarah Kay
Fran sent me this award, I nearly fell off the chair when I read the wonderful things she said about me, I truly honoured that you past this award to me even if you cost me a fortune in stamps since I've known you and I spend far too much time on Facebook games trying to beat your scores.
I've had a think and I think I will past this onto Annie (Ink'n' rubba) another person who I've visited for a long time, who like me is obsess with stamps particularly Elizabeth Bell and Sarah Kay.

Chocolate and Marshmallow Annie

Gosh did I have a job taking a pic of this card, it kept looking wishy washy even tried to alter on Photoshop but gave up in the end. The colours are a bit more vibrant and poor Annie doesn't look so pale in real life.
The sketch is from Dawny P for Allsorts challenge but they have done a double whammy challenge where you have to use Chocolate and Mashmallow colours as well. I found these papers while looking for paper for Mums card again no name on them and I've probably had them for ages and we're talking years not months.
I've used cute Annie, my funky flower punch and Leone Em punch for the leaves.
It looks like the invites have been finalised and we just need to get the theme colour card. I don't think I will be missing too much it will drive me potty doing all the same cards without a break.

Mum's Card

Finally Mum's card, how many crafters can remember this cardstock, when I first started cardmaking you couldn't get patterned paper then scrapbooking slipped in, now we combine the two. This patterned card stock was probably the first 12in I brought I thought it was gorgeous and I couldn't bear to cut into, bear in mind these papers weren't cheap them and I was a crafter with a strict budget them.
I found a great sketch on Our Creative Corner at first I thought it wouldn't work but now its finished its perfect for my Mum it ticks all the boxes. The girls are a Penny Black stamp, Mum was using the cricut and storybook cartridge, the sentiment is Simon Says Stamps.
Well of to close the Candy.

Hoppin' Sunday

I had a fabulous day yesterday at Crafts U Love especially has I met the lovely Kim Piggott. Her cards are always gorgeous on her blog but they are even more amazing in real life. It was fascinating to watch Kim use distress inkpads to colour her image and the different technique she uses from Bev. It was also lovely to catch up with some friends too at the hall where we were very noisy chatting.
After spending a significant amount of money there, we took the 40minute journey to the Glitter pot where Jane Gill was sitting quietly away and colouring her images with Inktense pencils and also where a couple of Penny Blacks fell into the Shopping Basket, one of which was this frog.
I've used him for the Penny Black recipe challenge, 3 ribbons, 2 flowers (I didn't include the flower with the image I considered that wasn't my fault)and a pin or charm. Found the star pin long forgotten in my stash and added some beads. The papers are crate paper that was on sale at Crafts U Love so seeing has thats a bargain I didn't mind using them.
Now I really must make my Mother's Birthday card, I can't put it off any longer its in a couple of days. I've chosen the image just need to sort out the papers to match.

Little Bo Bunny Annie

Oh this is better, the final pieces of Bo Bunny papers although I'm hoping I might be able to pick some up tomorrow at Crafts U Love demo day.
I've used the fabulous sketch over at Friday Sketchers and funky flowers punches and cute Annie image.
I shall try not to spend too much.
I've got this really fabulous award from Juls who has only recently started a blog, thanks Juls.
And I've just found out that Angela has sent me it too.

I don't do distressing

What on earth was I thinking, I don't do distressing. I really need someone in my craftroom to tell me to put down the Tim Holtz distressing tool and step away from the card. I really don't think this has worked and poor Tilda maybe destined for the bin unless she grows on me.
I used Tab's sketch on Just Magnolia and My Minds Eye Asparagus papers, the background stamp behind Tilda is a Crafty Individuals.
I have made several cards this morning which is way I'm running late with this post they're all Wedding Invitation samples, luckily no 3d it certainly speeded things up and guess who forgot to photo them before my Sis whizzed them away.

Whiff of Joy Christmas

Now when we went to Newbury, The Hobby House stall was covered in the wonderful creations of Bev. We was all very taken to the grey Christmas Cards and made sure we brought some of the paper home with us.
After I got over the embarrassing moments of my Sis asking me if I had this stamp or that one which I had to promptly say yes, in the end it was quicker to say the ones I didn't have, yes there was at least one.
I said that I had the stamps in this card but I've struggled to find them, I knew I had them I've pics of the cards I made with them. So you can imagine my relief when at last I find them and when I saw Rach Christmas card for the Whiff of Joy challenge I knew what I was going to do.
Even though this sketch is from Donalda the card was inspired by Bev and the using the raffia was Rach.
The papers are Craft Creations, snowflakes are various dies from sizzix and cuttlebug and I brought the diamond dust for the big snowflake at The Hobby House too. I coloured the girls with Prismacolours and Sansador gosh that was hard, the pigment in the dark grey pencil travelled really well so I had to use very little of it in the end to get dimension.
Any way enough waffle, off to the hairdressers the shaggydog look is so not in fashion.

Wedding

My Niece has an idea for her Wedding Invitations, I don't think this will be it. Although the embossing and the actually card took minutes the couple took a while especially if I 3d them. But they are so cute the Sugar Nellies Bridal couple. I used a silver grey card to mat and layer but a theme colour hasn't been decided yet.
Look what Sonia has candy on her blog some cute Cuddly Buddly stamps. Don't forget my candy is here.
I've brought my Camera Panasonic Lumix FS15 what a mouthful and should be in my hands on Friday.

Simon Says Sketch

Didn't I say that there was a fantastic challenge on Simon Says Challenge and what's my favourite type of challenge, A sketch and none other than one from Dawny P aka Pink Piggy. I've used the new Lemonade BG and one of the new Sarah Kay both available from Simon Says Stamps. I've used the flourish punch and the stampin up punches for peel offs sentiment
And many thanks to Kellylou for my fab award.
I shall be browsering the net for a new camera, I want a compact one which is light in weight but still take fab pics.
Don't forget if you haven't commented on my candy post you will find it here.

Swirly Sarah Kay

The challenge on A Spoonful of Sugar was for swirls which with the EK swirl punch isn't a problem and I promise only on thin card or paper, no repeats from the weekend. The sketch is inspired by Sketch Saturday sort of went it own way once I decided to fold over the card. The papers are Bo Bunny and another Sarah Kay its OK I think there is only one more new one to try out.
Don't forget my Candy you just need to comment on the post here.

Stamp with Fun

I love the sketch on Stamp with Fun and its definitely going to be one to use again. I've used a dream2stamp bridal mouse but I've paper pieced her dress so she's more Bridesmaid than Bride. I've been really good and not over do the punching and used the funky flower punch like the one in my candy (see here) and the swirl punch. The papers are Stampin Up, so is the sentiment stamp and the punches to match. Punching is so much better when the card not too thick. I've used some stickles for her wings and the bouquet
Karen sent me this, thanks Karen . I can't possible choose just a few blogs, everyones are beautiful and I'm constantly adding myself as follower to new bloggers.
Off to check out all the entries on Simon Says Challenge don't miss tomorrows challenge its one of my favourite type of challenge!

Bunnies and Candy

Blog Candy Now Closed

The challenge on Penny Black Saturday was for soft and sweet, well what can be softer than bunnies and they are sweet too and it means I could use this stamp. Since I was struggling a bit yesterday and was banned from using punches, a very simple card. A bit disappointed the fluffy stuff came out a bit too thick.
Finally I've put my candy together, I was waiting for the Lemonade pad, usually when I order they come withing 48hrs but it all went pear shaped but at least its here.
This candy is to say Thank you for the 100,000 visits and all you have to do it leave a comment, everyone is welcome. I shall close it on Monday 27th July first thing in the morning.

Sarah Kay Sunday

I'm not too sure on this card, the punched circle had to be this size because thats the largest it punches and I wish I hadn't put the flowers on. The papers are Cosmo Cricket and the sketch is from Friday Sketchers. I've used another new Sarah Kay, she is definitely going on my fave list.
Look what I've received from Fern, she is a remarkable cardmaking, do make time to check out her blog.
A little advice do not try punching into card that was obviously too thick and if you suffer from Arthritis its a double whammy cos I can hardly move my shoulder and shoulder blade without pain, so not sure whats going to get done today. I may have to teach my hubby to craft!!!!

Buttons

The challenge on Just Magnolia is for buttons, this helped me decide on this little Tilda cos she's got buttons on her dungarees and I knew I had some teeny tiny buttons to sew on her. This wouldn't be a problem except I've lost my pokey tool, I'm devastated we've been together for years. Still I did managed to sew on my little buttons and I found the flower button for the flower too. I pretty sure the papers are Bo Bunny but I've only got bits left and of course none have the name on. I've used the sketch from The Next Level and they're also doing a tutorial on 3d too.

A Sarah Kay's Christmas

Well I haven't got the hump today but not sure where Mojo's gone hopefully I'll find it later. I managed a card for Cute Card Thursday which is for Xmas in July an ideal opportunity to use the Sarah Kay I brought at Newbury, I wanted her last Christmas but couldn't get my hands on her. I used Summertime Designs download Winter Gifts and I followed DawnyP's sketch for Papertake Weekly although I have turned it a bit.
Looking for some candy well look what Leanns is offering, you have till Tuesday.

Berry Sweet Sarah Kay

Well the Hump Wednesday started Tuesday and has rolled into Thursday! Not sure I would have made a card if it wasn't for the new Sarah Kay's hitting my doormat today. I used the sketch on A Spoonful of Sugar and the Berry Sweet pack from K & Co which came from Charmed Cards and Crafts, which is also where I brought the new Sarah Kays. The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch can't believe it was gathering dust whilst waiting to be used.

Blossoms and Fruits

So a bit of a busy post, well card wise and the first is for the Cupcake Challenge which is for blossoms and butterflies, I just knew I wanted to use my butterfly that I make, after all I haven't used for a least a month. I used W R Memorys papers and I wanted to match the flowers and in the end I punched them out cos I couldn't match the colours and for a change I embossed the background with a folder other than swiss dots.
On Simon Says Challenge it Summer Fruits and more or less anything goes, colours, papers or image has long as there is connection to Summer Fruits. I got hold of this fab paper by Doodlebug with strawberries but I've also used one of WOJ summer kit with the strawberries on her clothes and I rediscovered the strawberry stamp too. I've used the swirly punch too and could that be the heart embossing folder too.
Look what I got too, an Award from Abi, many thanks.
As to the Parcel I received a postcard from the PO to say there is £9.97 to pay because they failed to put the postage on the parcel. OK it was a big parcel for a start there was a 12 by 12 album in there. It was a geniue mistake and the shop in question just wants the receipt for what we paid and will reimburse me. I do get parcels regularly from them so I knew it wouldn't be a problem.
I have just checked Papertake Weekly to see the new challenge, which is a fabby sketch by the way to see I've won.
