Antler Tree

So I made a quick card once again I used a sketch I think it is base loosely on Sketch Saturday one, I pinned lots of they past sketches.
The papers are LOTV that I have in a large pile odds and ends that need sorting.
My holly leaves which are to match the ones in the paper are from Memory Box and my sentiment is from Penny Black.
I added the holly berries on the side because it looked to plain now I'm not so sure.
Being Saturday my image is a Penny Black one, not sure if he is still available. I've done quite a few Christmas Cards now I think its time to total them up and find out how many more I need to do.
I've had to schedule my card I'm off to a crop today, hopefully some scrap pages for Sunday's post.

Pretty in Pink

I didn't used the Diamond Background from Poppystamp and it was floating around my craft so I had to use it before it got damaged.
So I had a little play with Simon says Stamp Artful Flowers to make a background and some Pink inkpads and so I didn't waste I made two cards.
The first card I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Ovals for my sentiment that came from Simon Says Stamp Its My Birthday. I made some white Artful Flowers which need some leaves so I used the Cluster of Leaves
.

So rather than waste my background I used it for a card and I used a Stitched Oval with the Congratulations die from Simon says Stamp. I did layered the congratulation but underneath is white card using gold only for the top layer.

Anyone for Cricket

Yes I'm still on a CAS kick especially has I kept Mr Digi Cricket image mainly white and it just so happens that the strip of red and white was left over from another card.
I think the card was based on an old Sketch Saturday Sketch although I can't work out which one.
That sentiment is the one sat on my desk, I rarely take it off the acrylic block and I just had a tiny bit of stripy paper to make a fish tail banner.
The gold card was on nearby since a gold failure ended in the bin but I had scraps of the gold left and used it with some punches to make my stars.
I've not made many cards this week, its working out I've made one a day but I made a wedding card can't show yet and a Birthday card can't show that yet either, also made a DT card for next week another card I can't show. So maybe today I'll make a card I can show.

Now you should have arrived to me from Caryn Davies (Glitter me Silly) if not you need to start at the beginning at Simon Says Stamp Store Blog

One of my favourites from the new Stamptember release is the Stitched Oval it was the missing shape. I made the frame using the two largest oval. The frame is quite wide and it said stamp me.
This is where perhaps I lost my way and found my favourite leaf stamp which is on the Friendship Butterfly set from Simon Says Stamp which I apologise is out of stock at the moment.
The above set also made the butterflies but I drew their antennas.
I used the dotty stencil from Simon Says Stamp to give my card a bit of a lift but I can't remember if it was Large dots or Medium dots I have both!
Then of course you need some flowers and I used the fabulous Calliope Flourish but cut out more than one so that I could cut out the flowers.
My sentiment is from the My Sunshine Stamps do love those sentiments on this stamp set so much so it gets taken to each scrapbooking crop.

Now you need to hop skip and jump over to my team-mate Gayatri

CAS Halloween

Because of my big bloomer this morning I'm posting a little extra. Simon Says Stamps sent me some Stamptember goodies and one of them was the Not so Spooky stamp set.
The hat and boo were both stamped separately and I cut them out, yes with that half decent white border.
Once I had placed my stamped string, spider and sentiment I made the border by drawing a wriggly line round the card and then another with a slight gap and them I coloured stripes with a black pen. Then I cut it out and used sticky fixers to the card then added the BOO and hat.

But even just stamping the spider and sentiment looks pretty good and you can't get more CAS than this.

Bearly Sick

Oh dear I've made a big bloomer which I only discovered when I popped over to the Everybody Art Challenge to do some commenting and the post wasn't there. Apparently Everybody Art Challenge restarts after the summer today!!!
So even though you have already seen this post I'm changing the date to get me back on track, apologise to the Everbody Art Challenge Leaders.

Hurrah Everybody Art Challenge is back from our Summer Break with Earth Tones and YES I've cheated again by slipping in quite a bit of red, well some earth is red perhaps not that red but good enough for me.
So I've used the LOTV paper pack glad I had it since it was the only patterned paper that was close enough for earth tones. The sentiment is a Elizabeth Craft die but double layered.
My poorly bear is from Mo Manning called Bearly Sick there is a female version too must put that on my wish list. I think his slippers need a wash though!
Do pop over and check out the team and hope you can join us this week.
Fingers crossed this posts since we will be on our way back from MIL and I have schedule a few. I'm hoping we don't get caught with too much traffic I need to get onto Simon Says Stamp before the new Stamptember goodies get sold.

White Snowflake Panel

I decided to use the Snowflake Block from Simon Says Stamp to make an all white card. I used the Tim Holtz Brick stencil to embossed but I'm now thinking I should have left the Snowflake Block on the embossing but I kept changing my mind.
The Poinsettia Parade are from Simon Says Stamps and the swirl is Penny Black Flourish  I only cut out one but I cut it up to suit my card.
To finish and to help the card pop I added some red pearls.

Somehow I managed to make Blogger Dashboard smaller in fact its tiny so if any one knows what I have done and how I can put it back I would be grateful.

More 60th

Here is the last of the 8inch layouts I made the All day Crop, hopefully I will get a few more done at the Saturday Crop.

Not sure why the one above the background card is a different coloured because it the same as all of them.

The verses on the last two layouts are from Inkylicious.
No I didn't make a card, I did make a mess and it all ended in the bin. It just so happens that my DD went to Hobbycraft and got me some more blue wool so I made a pair of dungarees of Kevin the Minion. I have two to make before the end of September and the way the other months went that isn't long at all.

Three Patterned Papers

The first Saturday of the month and its time for a new challenge on Penny Black Saturday using three patterned papers. Hope you can join us this month and don't forget to check out the team.
Yes I'm still in my Penny Black Mice mood and I found this cling called Hello Dear and the papers are Doodlebug Patriotic Picnic, I especially love the white flowers paper.
Has you can see I tried to follow those white flowers using Taylored Expression Bloom Where You Planted had the large blooms smaller ones didn't seem to work.
The leaves are are Cluster of Leaves from Simon Say Stamp and finally the corners are La LaLand Filigree ones.
Today I'm going into my craftroom I haven't been in there this week apart from sorting out some magnet sheets I brought from E Bay for some of my dies. I have a DT card I need to make today and then I can just play could mean I'll end up with nothing.

Classic Snow Panel

Have you checked out the Stamptember Blog Hop if not why not. I was lucky to be sent some new goodies and that included this Snowflake Block. Now in hindsight I needed of bothered to used the Simon Say Stamp Falling Snow stamp for behind the snowflakes but I wasn't going to waste it and I had enough for two cards.
The first one is quite classic using the panel on white card using the Christmas from Christmas Blessing die and the Merry stamp is from Ornaments stamp set.

When I first saw the panel it and since I've been having Shaker moments I though it would work on well on a Shaker card. Again it would work without the snowfalling background. The shaker bits are from a Simon Say Stamps Kit because it had some aqua coloured sequins thingys.
It was fiddly taking the double side tape off the back but thats because I'm a cheapskate and use cheap stuff.
The fabulous single Snowflake is a matching die called Kinley and I did layer it twice and I finished with sentiment again from a Simon Says Stamp kit stamp set called Winter Wishes.

Snow Day

For some reason I like using A5 card whether its because I'm inspired by sketches using that shape or I just keep telling myself they are quicker cards.
Anyway I found these scraps of some old Doodlebug Christmas papers and it just so happens I had this cutie waiting to be coloured. The image is from Mo Manning called Snow Day and as you can see there's quite a bit of Flower soft and Fun flock mixture needed for her jacket.
My Snowflakes are a mixture of Simon say Stamp and Cuttlebug but I cut them out in fun foam they look pretty good.
I also used the new Simon Says Stamp stitched oval, to make my coloured card mats I drew round the the dies and then cut them out.
Well the visit to MIL went OK till we tried to go home and got stuck in traffic,my body really didn't like the stopping and starting. So I took it easy yesterday and looking forward to a non busy weekend and feeling like card making.

I was so excited to received a Stamptember parcel from Simon Says Stamps and inside the Oval stitched dies, if I could have danced round the room I would have done. They needed to be used immediately and what better than the latest challenge.
First of all we are using Doodlebug and I love Doodlebug 6inch paper packs they are using bright and colourful and many times I end up buying another pack. This time I'm using Sunkissed pack love the sunshine colours.
My cute image is Penny Black Slapstick Cling Flower Girl and I used my new Oval Stitched Dies from Simon Says Stamp. Once I cut it out I left the die on while I used some ink for round the the image. I also used the Stitched Oval for my sentiment which is a mixture of stamps from Simon Says Stamp Happy and Its your Birthday, also the Happy die.
To make my papers more interesting I used Simon Says Stamp Wavy Stitched Scallop Border die but I carefully cut the scallops off with the patterned paper and stuck it on the contrasting card one. Then at the top I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scallop Border die.
To finish I needed some flowers and I used the Elizabeth Craft dies Bunch of Flowers die trouble was choosi which flower and how many!

Piece of Cake

Mmmm not sure about this card wasn't quite how I imagined it and I had difficulties in working out what embellishments to use. I'm guessing this was a card too far but I had been trying to make enough cards to fill my drafts for when we are back from MIL when I know I won't be up to making cards.
The papers are Kaiser not sure of the make now and the image which I will print out again to make another attempt is called Piece of Cake from Mo Manning the sentiment was included with the cake.
I always say I shall show warts and all.

John's 60th

At the all day crop at Bracknell I started Hubby's Birthday Album, I gave myself a brief of Clean and Simple Scrapbooking which caused a great deal of sniggering amongst my friends. When most of the morning had gone everyone complained how they've hardly done anything where I declared I had made a layout so they called out to show them its the one above and I had already cut the photo to fit the 8inch album. At least I made them laugh!

The Papers are Fancy Pants, I brought the collection pack and apart from plain cardstock I'm hoping to only use the pack.

With a bit of help from some Stamping Up stamps.

American Crafts Thickers, Simple Stories Alphabet stickers and some Simon Says Stamps Alphabet Stickers too.

The last two layouts I made using the front cover of the collection no waste here!
I'll be honest some layouts were quicker than others but in all I made twelve layouts and I still have twice that many to do.
