I made a New Home card recently, the house is using Concord and 9th Christmas houses from last year. The tulips are from Lawn Fawn and the fence is Poppystamps and the clouds are Memory Box. The oval is from Simon Says Stamp and lightly blended some colour. I drew round the oval and cut round the outside of the line to give me a backing mat. Sentiment is Altenew is actually two sentiments and stamped at the same time so must remember to stamp separately to get them closer together.

New Home
I was asked by my son to make a New Home card and I decided to use the Lawn Fawn Build House.
The sun and clouds is another die from Lawn Fawn called Spring Showers.
I used the Simon says Stamp Wonky Rectangles to give a finishing edge and their Hills and Slopes. You can see I used the rectangles over the sun as I only wanted a corner bit, it didn't cut through all the layers but you still get a nice edge when you finish by cutting with scissors.
Finally the sentiment was from Simon says Stamp Home Sweet Home stamp set.
I'm more or less over the cold, thank you for the kind words and I feel up to spending the morning in my craftroom today since I haven't been in there all week. Does mean I'm a bit behind on my DT work so hopefully I shall get that done for next week.

Good Luck
My card is inspired by a Freshly Made Sketch again a few weeks back. I made my colour strip with some Oxides.
Then using scraps of card I made the house and trees using My Favourite Things Home Sweet Home dies. The path I cut freehand, you can probably tell.
I wanted to used the Simon says Stamp Good Luck die simply because I rarely use it and also it was easier to find than an actually new home stamp. I was really pleased how it turned out.
Today I need to get some Christmas Cards made will have to get my CAS head on or I won't get enough done. I pinned the latest Freshly Made Sketch, CAS(e) this sketch and Sketch Saturday.

Leaving the nest
Pretty much have been missing this week, DD has brought a half share in a flat and even then she had to put down a ridiculous deposit. Its hard to be single and trying to get on the property ladder even worse when you live in one of the most expensive area. But finally her dream is coming true.
Between you and me I have been trying to help and possibly over doing things but I have a crop tomorrow and made myself have a couple of rest days before and I'm pretty sure I'll be resting up on Monday but back flat sitting for the gas man on Tuesday hope I can sit on my hands and not try to do anything silly!
This is her new home card, my little bird is flying the nest so this Whipper Snapper stamp was ideal. The papers are some random ones a picked up at Home Bargains some time ago. The clouds and birds are Memory Box or Poppystamps dies. I coloured a couple of the stamped flowers and added them to the Altenew sentiment which came with their succulent stamp set.

New Home
Apologies for the crooked photo, this is after I straighten it! Anyway I'm pleased I found the photo on the camera, thought I had sent it without photographing it.
The only problem it was while ago since I made I now having to rack my brain to work out what I used so here goes. First the house is Stamping Up, stripy paper - no idea, the stitched rectangle and fishtail banner both from Simon Says Stamp. Oh the star is too but the sentiment is Altenew on their succulents stamp set.

New Home
This is the second of two New Home cards are needed to make which as made me wonder if I posted the other one and if not where is it, I hope I photo it before posting.
I knew I needed a cat on this card and that reminded me of Boo with Flowers from Mo Manning and its turned out perfect. The papers are Doodlebug and I paper pieced the Vase which helps to bring the papers together.
Its very CAS even by my standards, used a MFT frame and stamped the Altenew sentiment which was with their succulent stamps and my job was done but its about all I can do at the moment.
Just a reminder that Everybody Art Challenge triple fold challenge has another week to go so you still have time to join in.

Gnome Home/Stamptember
I love using Toadstools houses for a New Home card and the new stamp set from Simon Says Stamp Secret Garden has a perfect one.
I fussy cut the windows, doors etc to layer and I stamped a standalone toadstool so I could add it. The papers are Echo Park Happy Summer, I used the Simon Says Stamp Wavy Stitched Scallop border on the sky piece and layered over the green abstract pattern one then used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle over then both.
I haven't used the sentiments on the stamp set, for example Gnome Sweet Gnome wouldn't work because I didn't use the gnome! So I used the Simon Says Stamp Furry Cat in a box which has several occassions covered.
I confess that I don't bother trying to avoid the dots on the toadstools I much prefer to use a Unit-Ball White pen works a treat.
A heatwave is expected here in the UK so not sure how much card making will be happening may need to hide out in the coldest room in the house with a fan on!

New Home
I thought I would open the pack of the Toadstools die that I brought from a craft fair and how perfect they would work with this cute Penny Black Mouse. They were a bit fiddly to get the different colours but the ones at the top I think they need a bit of ink because they look like I've just plonked them there.
The papers are leftovers and I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scallop Borders, not sure who made the toadstools, I got them from Sandown. The sentiment is from Altenew Succulent set that I used for a Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
Well I failed miserably with making a card a day and I'm going to a crop today but I scrapbook there since I never seemed to have time at home. Then I will chasing my tail to catch up on my DT work.

Home
My card was inspired by the sketch on Freshly Made Sketch but I had to settle for the sentiment just to be stamped rather that add a bit extra since it was quite large.
The houses are Brevilla Houses from Memory box cut out from scraps which is the reason that they are these colours. I placed them on black card and then cut round the house at the top.
In hindsight I would have place some doublesided tape on the back of card before cutting would have been less fiddly.
Dad was looking better last night he is breathing better, although being in hospital has highlighted some problems and its more likely he will have to go to a home. He is registered blind as well as being deaf and both seemed to have deteriorated even more over the last year.
On the card making I feeling a bit more positive since a couple of important cards are now done and only have a couple of more to do then I can relax and do whatever I like.

New Home
I made this a while ago, its been hiding out in my drafts. The stamp is Whipper Snapper well I'm pretty sure it is. The papers are Memory box and I've used MFT Triple Scallop border dies with Stampin Up punches for the sentiment which has come from LOTV.
Off to swimming this morning, fingers crossed I get into my craft room to make a card at least today I've idea of what I'm going to do. Then its pack my bags ready for Nikki's Stamping Up Launch day tomorrow that just leaves Sunday which I plan to chill and relax.

Tiddly Ink House
I love this house is it not great is from Tiddly Inks I made the card using last weeks Freshly Made Sketch. Even when my finger itched to add more stuff I kept CAS then promptly forget the deadline.
It was particularly hard just to add the tags for the sentiment and step away but I did, not sure I'm keen.
The papers are from LOTV using Nitwits designs.
Hubby's Mum comes down next week so not sure if any cards will be made and I'm still finding it hard to card make not helped with the sunny garden calling me to come out of my hidey hole, so its possible I shall run out but we will wait and see.

New Home
The papers are Memory box which I've had for ages and the green border is MFT triple border set but as you can see I only used two.
The sentiment is using some round punches with a fishtail for the actual sentiment.
So all the jobs yesterday have been ticked, today I need to photo the finished cards and load to my blog ready for next week posts. I may have to keep the retirement card in draft till I know he's received it.

House card
Of course when I had this idea I didn't know how big the die was and its suitable to put on card possibly a little small to make a card but I thought it would make a great card to send people your new address when you move but my DD just rolled her eyes at me.
So I used the the Where the Heart is stamp and die set and the lovely Lols sent me a pad of Autumn Spice from Lily Bee. Which was a bit naughty of me because apart from the house all the details can be made with scraps.
To make the card I cut out the house and used it as a template so that it over lapped the edge so there was a fold and the fence help to stand. My notice is a cocktail stick with another door cut and I wrote the sentiment. The flowers are the centre of a flower die and the leaves are the Martha Stewart snowflake cut up.
I've measured it and if you include the fence its 8cms square or 31/4 inches but its so cute.
Don't forget there is a fabulous prize to be won and you just have to make sure you mention the Simon Says Stamps challenge and link to the blog on your Get in Shape card post and of course link your card with the blug frog to win.

Where the Heart is
Time for another challenge on Simon Says Stamps Challenge and this week is for Dies and Punches .
And the team are using the new Exclusive dies from Simon Says Stamps and I'm using Where the Heart is set, I brought the bundle so I get the dies but the matching stamps as well. I had such fun making the house. I paper pieced yellow paper so it looks like the lights are on and to make the spotty curtains. I cut out the house twice so my chimney is behind the eaves.
I had to used the windows to flower pots since this was the first thing I thought when I saw the window die. I even immediately made a card using them, you can find it here.
The trees are using the small forest tree and using the cricut to make skinny ovals for the back of them. I used Echo Park Happy Together papers and the Martha Stewart Icicle punch for grass. The clouds come in the house pack too but guess who forgot to stamp them.

Bird Houses
I saw a card while blogging of course I can't find it now but she use a bird house stamp not this one but I had just brought this one from Sassy Cheryl bargain bin. Thought they would be fun to layer but the pesky birds were a bit awkward to do especially as I missed one out and had to rectify that quickly.
Now the card I saw was an all white one except the image but I thought this one would work with some check pattern paper.
The border is from Stampin up and the sentiment is from a Hobby Art set and its almost straight. Once again I've used part of a Martha Stewart border. Not sure on the clouds, all the white space above the houses bugged me so put some Memory box Clouds on, only after they are well and truly stuck did I decide that maybe it would look better without them.
Well the Olympics are now over and it was marvellous two weeks of achievement and hard work. Well done to Team GB for their excellent results and to all the athletics of the world.
But did any one notice a event that took place yesterday the Charity Shield, next week the Football Season starts.

New Home
I took the easy option especially has I've dying to use the new Penny Black clings Victorian Homes stamps, to make the wall I stamps the bottom of stamp several times and them cut them out. The grass is a Magnolia Doo Hickey die and a tinky flower punch.
The clouds are MFT and I used the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls to give them more depth.

New home
Totally out of my comfort zone with this New Home card. DD needed one quickly and this is what I managed come up with.
I paper pieced the Hero Arts house, not sure of the papers they're some in a left over pile of Cosmo Cricket I think.
Love my Martha Stewart Picket fench border, the tinky flowers are an old do crafts punch and the leaves are the Martha Stewart snowflake which has seen better days.
I felt the the top of the card looked plain and even though I have this thing about white and cream together (can't stand black and navy together either) but I confess that the white clouds look OK

Sweet New Home
Isn't it funny how one moment you pleased with a finished card but now you're blogging about it you're not too sure. Well thats what I feel about this card. I've used First Edition papers and this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Of course the little fellow is a Penny Black Hedgie.
Sorry for the quickie post but off out this morning to Scrapbuddies crop and I still have to pack!
Oh I'll draw for the stamps tomorrow morning so today is your last chance the post is here.

Penny Black Saturday
Having to schedule this post so hope Mr Blogger behaves, taking MIL back this morning so what have time to get onto the PC.
So this weeks challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge is to use a Penny Black stamp to make a background. So if you have some clear set theres probably small stamps or in my case I use heart scroll stamp and just randomly stamped then coloured the hearts and flowers. Of course looking at it now I could have a least worked it out a bit better.
I made a frame using a MS around the page punches but its always too big and at least with this style I can cut it down you just about see my joins.
The pink card I just scored lines evenly apart, a bit or ribbon to bring the top and bottom together. Then I use a little Hedgie and once again I use square nesties. Yes the sentiment is peel offs.
Check out the team for more inspiration and look forward to seeing what everyones comes up with.

Froggy Friday
I was having a bit of a dilemma in choosing my title today, should it be Froggy Friday or Take Three cards, as you can see the frogs won. I was asked to make some New home cards and immediately it became a chore, but since I ordered this stamp from Simon Says Stamps specially for the purpose, I coloured a few in. I thought I would have a go using the Mojo Monday sketch, the papers were scraps.
Then I thought they would work with A spoonful of Sugar Recipe Challenge, the embossing folder is in fact from Crafts Too which I think you will find available from The Art of Craft, I think this one is nicer than the cuttlebug new butterfly folder but that's just my opinion.
I still had a set of frogs left so this time I used the Sketch and Stash sketch and the fab papers from Citrus pad from DCWV.I'm now bored with the frogs need to find something else now!
