Tiny Townie Unicorn

Plenty of pink going on here, I’m surprised the main mat works usually I need layer it. Can’t remember now the pack of paper it came from now.

The image is a Stamping Bella Tiny Townie. The fence and grass is using old MFT dies and the flowers are Elizabeth Designs although the centres are using Simon says Stamp Luminary die.

I have to confess not much card making lately but I have another wedding card to make this week already have an idea for that one but won’t be able to post it till after the 3rd July.

Posh Bella

My idea was to have a slimline card with the house on the right going up it but in the end it didn’t look right. So I settled for this card. The house are an old Memory Box one.

The image which I paper pierced her dress is Audrey from Stamping Bella and the papers are Kaiser ones.
I didn’t bother with the sentiment didn’t know whether to use Good Luck or Happy Birthday.

Yoga

Apologies for not posting yesterday I got waylaid and it went out of my mind and then this morning it was a early morning hair appointment so didn’t have time.

I thought I’ll share my other stamping Bella yoga image but time I paper pierced her outfit. The paper is Simple Stories I think called Hello.

I’m pretty sure the background is Lawn Fawn but scallop frame is Sunny Studio. The leaves and flowers are Memory Box. Finally sentiment is an old Stamping Up one.

Namaste

I recently brought some stamps from Stamping Bella and this one of them. I didn’t buy the Word stamps because I mainly make Birthday cards.

The sketch is from Sketch Saturday but not sure what week, the Memory Box leaves die replaced the fishtail tag on the sketch. Flowers are a unbranded set and the sentiment from Simon says Stamp. I edged the triangle with a scallop border die.

Curvy Fairy

Sorry I was quiet over the weekend but I went to the Create It at Farnborough which possibly wasn't the best idea after going swimming. Usually I take it easy on Friday because it tires me out. Going to the show which they had problems with the venue which meant the aisle were tight and I could only look at stuff by walking. Even though I could of spent a lot more money but I settled with the few bits I got. It took all weekend to recover.

Anyway here's a card for you today, the papers are Doodlebug Hello, ribbon from my stash. The cute fairy is Stamping Bella Edna the Bumblebee but I coloured her leotard in pink to match my papers.

Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangles for the sentiment mat using the words from their Sketched Flower. The tiny butterflies are SSS too their Flickering Butterflies.

Curvy Girl love Tea

I'm not convinced I'm keen with the stripes on this card but  Stamping Bella Curvy Girl Loves Tea is now stuck on and she won't move.

The papers are Doodlebug Hello and I used the Simon says Stamp Get Well Soon die which is the same colour as the fushia flowers but the camera seems to have changed the shade.

I'm scheduling today's post because on Fridays I go to my Disabled Swimming Club first thing and depending on how tired I feel Hubby as offered to take me to the craft show at Farnborough. It could be expensive to visit. I can't find anything about a carer (he'll be pushing my wheelchair) so I will probably have to pay for him too.

Bring on the Bling

The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!

So I came back from my few days away and my first job was to make my Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge card. Thankfully Stamping Bella Stephanie Loves Ballet was still in stock and I didn't have much time so I decided to paper piece her ballet dress.

I cut her out leaving a white border but if I had decided on using the Simon says Stamp Quilted Hearts background stamp, I didn't really need too. The papers by the way are Simple Stories Hello.

Ok I know I cheated by cutting off the stems of my Cosmo Stem flower heads and then cut it out again with some Glitter Card to give my card a bit of bling. Finally I needed a sentiment originally I was going to use glitter card but it didn't stand out well enough in the white so that why I used the Simon says Stamp Happy Birthday die with the matching cardstock.

We went away the morning of the 1st September so I quickly went online to get some Stamptember goodies and they arrived when I got home.

Wedding

A few weeks ago Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge had a Wedding/Anniversary but I had made a Wedding Card for Steph who works for Simon Says Stamp.

I used the Stamping Bella image Uptown Couple Brett and Brenda Got Married but I used the Simon says Stamp Stitched Oval so only used part of the image.

Now it was a while ago when I made the card to get to the US in time, so I can's actual remember what Simon says Stamp set the leaves on the oval come from, all I do remember it was definitely Simon says Stamp. You need a solid stamp and if I made the card again I would use the second impression of the stamp so it didn't stand out so much.

The Flickering Butterflies and the Congratulations are all Simon says Stamp that I am sure.

The papers are Carta Bella Spring Market and the little hearts are Doodlebug Heart Shape Sprinkles.

The Crooked Photographer Returns

I can't believe how many times I've taken a photo of this card but this is the best straight one of a bad lot. I'm pretty certain it was a sketch but whose I don't know now.

First of all my dinosaurs are a Stamping Bella Stamp set and if your budget stretches that far there's dies too.  I'm to much of a cheap skate to buy them rather buy another stamp set but there are times when I wish there was die. This time I carefully cut a white border round the dinosaurs.

The papers are Doodlebug At the Zoo papers, the squares are cut out using Simon says Stamp Stitched Squares and their Rectangles for the kraft background.

The number and letters are Newton's Nook Essential Alphabet cut out of som dotty Doodblebug paper that I knew would show up. Finally I stamped a white Happy Birthday from Simon says Stamp  Messages for Everyday.

American Football

My grown up Son loves American Football, he gets a season ticket for the matches that are played in the UK and I believe one of his friend and himself are planning to see a game in the USA . I needed to make him card obviously for his birthday and saw this chap Football Squigy from Stamping Bella well of course I needed to buy him.

Men cards always a bit of challenge but I decided to go for a CAS  using the Echo Park Happy Birthday paper I cut out a large Painted Happy Birthday sentiment from SSS.

I still have to add something so I went with stars from the Simon says Stamps Holiday Shapes and Large Holiday Shapes and to give a bit interest I used the Lawn Fawn Lacy Borders die.

Bella Birthday

A card for a special niece, it's easy to remember how old she is because her Mum was pregnant at our Wedding and since she makes amazing cakes I've Stampin Bella Uptown Girl Ava love to Celebrate.

The papers are Echo Park Happy Birthday Girl and I've used it to paper piece Ava's dress as well as the flowers. The flowers are made using Simon Says Stamp Hydrangea Petal dies, the centres are Simon Says Stamp Stitched Snowflakes die ( used the smallest one) and the tiny dots are from a Tim Holtz Gearhead Thinlets I used the actual waste from one of the cogs.

I stamped Happy from Simon Says Stamps on the fishtail banner I made using their Stitched Banners. This meant I only had to use the Birthday part of the Simon says Stamp Happy Birthday die. My oval frame was made using Simon says Stamp Stitched Ovals and the I nearly forgot the leaves on my flowers they're Simon says Stamp Forget Me Know flowers die.

I'm not sure whether you are aware but I'm not at home,  I will be later but we are on here.

This week the challenge is

Going Dotty

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
50dollar_voucher_600px

I love Stamping Bella stamps and I had quite a few to choose from in the end I decided on Tiny Townie Blossom love Balloons nearly forgot the challenge was to go dotty but I found some in the Doodlebug Cream and Sugar pad.  Apologies since checking the shop this pad as now sold out but has you can see with my card I've only used one dotty page and most Doodlebug papers have a least one dotty page so you can colour accordingly.

I went for a panel and added strips of colour and using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Scallops die added them down the side of the panel to add interest. I only wish I had decided to use the Memory Box Stitched clouds ( can't find these now in the shop but this is the link to clouds die) before adding the scallop and would have show the stitching.

Finally I added some Memory Box Flying Gulls using scraps of black card given even more impression she flying high up in the sky.

Bella Fairy

The Everbody Art Challenge is now fortnightly so there's still time to join us. That means this Tuesday there is now challenge card but I made a card using a Stampin Bella stamp that I've been meaning to use.

The papers are Doodlebug from Summer last year, maybe a bit busy but I kep t the image simply and embellishments to the minimum.

I used a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle for my image, I didn't need to worry about chopping off her wings since I was layering another set. The flowers are a Memory Box die that seems to work well with punch circles for their centres and the leaves are theirs too with another flower die I was experimenting with.

I had to use Simon Says Stamp Stitched Fishtail banners for my sentiment because stamping directly to paper after sticking everything down never works for me and I have to hide my badly stamped sentiment.

I had great plans for card making yesterday but my body had a mini meltdown possibly I may have been overdoing it. But I have sorted my scrapbooking out did take longer to do and I have loads to do so I need to learn some fast scrapbooking.

Bella Sketch

Its sketch time on Everybody Art Challenge and it just so happens I had some new Doodlebug papers and I decided since we were in the middle of a heat wave maybe a cocktail was necessary of course now I need Hot Chocolate. But I love this fabulous Stamping Bella image isn't she great.

Not much in the way of embellishments, just the pesky retro punch from EK success which I added some tiny white flowers for the centres and for some reason I decided it needed jet pearls. I would have added more but I restrained myself.

The brilliant sentiment came with the stamp, although it should read one, red wine, two red wine, three red wine, floor.

Do pop over and check out the team.

Summer Sandy

I had an idea in my head but I'm not sure in managed itself onto my card. The papers are Doodlebug and the curve is using the Simon Says Stamp Curve Border and in theory I've created with the papers the sand and sea!

I cut round the Stampin Bella Sandy and her Sombrero, I don't do this very often but I wanted to stand out a bit from the papers and this one way that helps. Once thats done I layered her as normal.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Cloudy Skies Stamp and die but I've noticed I haven't embossed the back so there's no dimension. The Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle is used once I had layered my sand and sea and I used the Avery Elle Scallop frame.

I like the idea of the strip by her feet but I may have to change it because I noticed the stamped sentiment is slightly crooked and not very central I obviously was disappointed and rushed a bit.

I do warn you about posting warts but at least I think I can rectified this one a bit.

Sorry Piggy

Well impressed with myself I made a card and just in time to add it to the Everybody Art Challenge for this challenge of Two Borders, Ok I cheated a little I've got three.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Wavy Scallop Stitched borders there's three in the set and it seemed wrong to leave one out. The Papers are Doodlebug and my little cute piggy is from Stamping Bella.

I was inspired by this week Sketch Saturday sketch but them I added ribbon and I had drifted away from actually sketch. Especially once I had used the Avery Elle Dotted Oval and the Contrasting Oval Scallop.

I finished off using the EK flower punch and used Paper Smooches sentiments which I then used Stamping up Punches.

As you can see the camera wasn't loving the pinks and they are not quite matching but looks OK in real life.

Do pop over to challenge blog and check out the fabulous creations also maybe you liked to join us this week.

Now this card is more in my comfort zone, a cute image and using Simon Says Stamp products to make the elements.

First of all the cute image is from Stamping Bella called Uptown Ava love to Celebrate and her dress I paper pieced using the fabulous Taylored Expression Hello Happiness to do this and for the diagonal paper.

I used the Stacked Hearts from Simon says Stamp, I actually used the die twice so I could add a few hearts to the top edge of the paper. The flowers are from the new stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp called Roses for You.

I decided to use the Wishes from a Penny Black die from their Wishes set and added the stamped Birthday sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Its Your Birthday.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Piggy and Friend

Hope you all had a good Christmas, ours was a quiet one. I was a very lucky girl with crafty presents and Champagne afternoon tea at the Ritz to look forward to.

I did manage a card or two before closing the craft-room down. I had this Especially for You Petunia Stamping Bella stamp coloured and when I saw the sketch on Stamping Bella I thought it would work for it.

mojoBella sketch 1

The papers are Doodlebug, the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle for around my image. The large flower is again from Simon Says stamp Stitched Daisies and the leaves are Cluster of Leaves.

At this moment while I write this post to schedule today, Hubby is trying to ring his brother to find out how MIL is, he didn't want to ring the home because there is a huge clean up. We know they moved all the residents upstairs Boxing day morning and that there is no electric or gas.

The building with the blue bin and sign is MIL Nursing Home. The front door that they don't use, MIL room is just above it and this would be her view.

Here is the crew that arrived to help evacuate before things got bad.

Hopefully by the time this blog post is posted we will have managed to contact them and find out that all is well.

We've managed to ring BIL yesterday, the power is still out at the time and it was more of a clean up.

Embossing Bella

If you remember my last card for Everybody Art Challenge you will know it had embossing on it, that was because I thought embossing week was last week but has you can see the new challenge of embossing is this week.
So I decided to use another favourite embossing folder this week Tim Holtz Bricked, I cut out the brick work down one side but cut the other side to fit my card. The daisy paper is from Echo Park and I added some grass using MFT grass die.
The sentiment which was layered twice is a Penny Black die and my flowers are Upsy Daisy from MFT.
Of course my image is a Stamping Bella and I fussy cut her out, with the finishing touch of glossy accents on her sunnies.
Do pop over and check out the team also I hope you can join us this week. Everybody Art Challenge is taking a bit of a break over summer but we will be back on the 8th September.

Andrea's Card

My daughter loves a bit of purple and since the Kaiser Violet Crush was around me at the time it was perfect for her card.
I decided to use this Bella image because its still rather cute but in a grown up way. I sort of used the Papertake Weekly sketch till I realised my curved die cut it the wrong way but the principal of the sketch is there.
Since I'm so critical of my cards I could cut down the white card the image is on but I think that could be just nit picking.
I love the Sending die from Simon Says Stamps and I found the pretty birthday sentiment with the wishes on  Its your Birthday stamp set.  Foolishly I decided to emboss them with black embossing powder to help it stand out more but its not as fine as the clear which I will use next time.
The flowers are Elizabeth Craft dies and the twine is from Doodlebug.
