Red and White

This time round lockdown has really my my crafting mojo disappear made a few cards lately not that keen on them if I’m honest. This one is probably the best out of the bunch but to be honest you can’t go far wrong with red and white.

Used the Memory Box wreath die and the cut their tree die with a circle die to give a round bottom.
Then layered the Pine Needles and Poinsettia Parade from Simon says Stamp over to one side. Even managed to stamp and emboss on the main mat too although I need brush off some of the loose bits of powder I can see a few that I missed.

I’ve sorted a few designs I made previously and I’m having a week of just making some more of the same.

Baubles

Remember the fancy Stampin up paper, well I’m using it again this time with a Memory Box ornament die. I’ve been on Pinterest to get some inspiration for using papers and rather than buying new stuff to scrap lift the card I’ve used what I’ve got.

I went through my stash and sorted out all my bauble stamps and die and settled on these and the sentiment is a Creative Expression which I backed with white card to help it stand out more.

Poinsettia Wreath

Again far to late to enter the Freshly Made Sketch, the sketch I used is #453 published the 16th September.

I hunted through all my Memory Box dies to look for a wreath, found more than one but thought the one above would work with a bit of gold.

Then I dressed it with a chopped up Holly die from Penny Black and a couple of poinsettias from Simon says Stamp. The sentiment stamped and embossed with gold to match the wreath is a Stamping Up one.

All in all simple but turned out OK and if I find myself short of Christmas cards easy to make.

Lavender

I stamped a few background for this card and in the end didn’t use any simply because I didn’t like it so went back to very clean and simple.
The background to the stitched rectangle was the only one I used but I also used it for the flowers on the Memory Box Lavender die. Finally the sentiment from Simon says Stamp.

Got round to colour up some images so hopefully, I’ll get a few more card done soon.

Christmas Bells

I've been experimenting with different colour backdrops so I'm trying Kraft card difinity helps to show up white cards.

I was inspired to used the old Memory Box Merry Christmas die by Heidi the owner of Simon says Stamp who e-mailed me a Christmas Card I had sent her. I hardly use this die and its quite striking but you do need to layer it a couple times to help the white Christmas to stand out.

My decision to used the small sleigh bells was I was going through some Christmas Challenges and one was The CAS Christmas Card Challenge is for Bells and these ones are the only ones that really worked  with the word die. Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangles to give the white background a finished look.

Twigs and Leaves

I've been inspired from pictures on Instagram and Pinterest and I loved a particular card with twigs and leaves and a whole line of birds.

This is my take on it using my supplies. The leaves and twigs are both really old dies as well as the bird. To be honest I'm not sure if I ever used the bird die.

The sentiment is Simon says Stamp Thoughtful Messages and the gold foil paper was floating on my desk. I think it came out of Card Kit box but if I'm honest I haven't a clue. The rustic twine is a bit of natural string that was round some flowers, I separated the strands to use just one to give a more delicate look.

Playing with a new die

Before we were all staying home I received a craft parcel and one of the item in it was this die from Memory Box called Pretty Blossom. The main reason I brought it because I though I could use the flower head, you just have to snip a couple of places to remove it from the stem.

I used the SSS Stitched Rectangles for the centre mat and I used it to cut my dotty paper. With the Tiny Words stamps to stamp the sentiment, a quick card to make.

I had to make a pretty quick card the one I must of have the very last die and no it doesn't appear online. Since my Simon says Stamp Card Kit Party Like Panda I simply had to use one of the
Pandas.

I had previous made a couple of Oxides smooched card stock so I decided for quickness to use one. First of I used Simon says Stamp Slopes and Hills to make a bit of ground rather than have my panda floating in midair. Then I cut out the Memory Box Bamboo Poles and place my embossed Panda if front.

My sentiment was made up with the Memory Box Wishes Jotted Script and Simon says Stamp Tiny Words.

Tree Frogs

My Brother in Law used to collect frogs and this gave me the idea for this card. I used Simon says Stamp Wood Grain card which I cut out the part of circle for the sentiment using Stitched Circles.

My frogs are Poppy Stamps Tiny Frogs and they were cut from paper that was splattered with green Oxides.

The sentiment is using Simon says Stamp Birthday Messages.

I made this card a couple of weeks ago, I think the time as come for me to write down what I used when I make the card.

Now lets see what I used a Blue Oxide Background to start with, that's easy I also make several and keep them to one side till I need one. I'm guessing I've used Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and possibly Broken China but I'm wondering if it was Mermaid Lagoon.

I cut the Memory Box Cheery Flower Collage in white card, then Green Apple card and some Doll Pink card. A few snip and I have stem and leaves and some pink flowe heads. The centres are made with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Snowflakes and the white centres when I cut out the main image, they fell out but managed to save them.

I wondered if the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle would cut frame round the flowers but you can see if made a nice double frame instead. I also used the Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Shapes frame to give a nice stitched border.

I used my favourite sentiment stamps at the moment Simon Says Stamp Thoughtful Messages. I had always planned to use Simon Says Stamp Flickering Butterflies but the tiny one by the y of Birthday is hiding a dirty mark. Most rubbed off with a clean eraser except one stubborn dot and my tiny butterfly hides it.
