ipod and coffee

Haven’t used a Saturated Canary image for awhile and this one was coloured up and ready to be made into a card. I lacked inspiration last week so kept it simple with a few Musical Notes die cut from a very old MFT die. Sentiment is Tiny Word from Simon Says Stamp.

Thankfully Hubby got his vaccination yesterday, still not sure when I’ll get mine but feeling a bit more positive especially now we have a Wedding to look forward to.

Cup of Tea

I thought I didn’t have a card in my drafts but I do have this one. The image is from Krista Smith that I managed to buy twice!

I’ve used my favourite technique, paper piecing and followed a Tuesday Morning Sketch by using Lawn Fawn scallop borders that fortunately comes in 3 sizes.

The cup die is a MFT die but a really old one that have matching stamps, they brought another set since but the cups etc are huge. The sentiment is a old Stampin Up one that seems to be living on my desk at the moment.

Birthday Shopping

I do wish Krista would sell her images again, some work so well for grown up cards. This is my DD Birthday card.

Again I used Simon says Stamp Hills and Slopes die, I would prefer to use it on the other side but I felt she should be walking away from it rather than to it.

The papers are Echo Park, the sentiment Simon says Stamp with the MFT die. That's pretty much it, I suppose I could of put flowers on it but I posted it in the Royal Mail which made me step away.

Glitter and Diamonds

A bit of cheating with the new challenge on Everybody Art Challenge of Diamonds and Glitter.

My bit of glitter is the glittter card that I used to die cut some snowflakes, well they are actually from the Penny Black Snowy die because I hadn't put it away and it was on my desk.

The diamonds are some self adhesive clear gems so that ticked that box. My image is from Saturated Canary, one that I brought before Krista closed her shop.

The papers are Echo Park and my sentiment which is straight but I straighten my card slightly using a photo editing programme and for some reason it made it slightly crooked. Its an old Simon Says Stamp one.

A bit of flower soft and fun flock for her boots and hats and she is done.

Do pop over to the challenge to check out the team, meanwhile I'm off to Kidderminster to see my brother in his new home.

For a Girl

I missed the last challenge on Everybody Art Challenge so pleased I was well enough to make this weeks new one of For Girls or Valentine and as you can see I went the girly way.

I'm using one of the Saturated Canary girls that I brought before she closed her shop and she was quick and simple to colour.

Another quick card, I don't where the time goes and I could of done without feeling pants for two weeks.

Found the sketch in Pinterest, I have a board just for card sketches. The papers are some old Scrapbooking ones that I decided would work better for card making.

The leaf swirl is a Cheery Lynne one and the flowers are some old MFT ones, the scallop border is Stampin Up border.

Popping up to Wisley this morning to see the butterflies, means there will be no card making today but I'm home this weekend so I hope to have a good play in my craftroom.

Time for Tea

It's Anything Goes on Everybody Art and I decided to use a Saturated Canary Image before she closed down the shop and go subscription only.

I love any image that has a teapot or coffee so this was a winner straight away. I paper pieced her top with the old Stampin Up papers and because she only a part image I decided to use my favourite Floral Oval.

The little teacups are an old MFT tea set, I noticed they have made another with two teacup that are opposites but I embossed my so you can't really tell that one has been turned over. I'm in two minds whether to get the new die set when my old one is perfectly fine.

The flowers are EK success retro punch with a Stampin Up punched circle for the centres. Finally the finishing touch of ribbon and the La LaLand corner.

Butterfly Baby

edited photo- I left the this mornings image to show that dotting the dots with a white pen makes all the difference.

Ok I hope I got this right but Everybody Art Challenge is back from our Summer Break and we are starting with an easy challenge of Butterflies.

I've used the Saturated Canary Baby Butterfly and I've just noticed I have used a white pen to dot my dots in her wings so I will have to re-photo her and replace the picture once the light is decent to photo.

I added some butterflies using a Kars punch that I've had for ages but its a favourite. The hearts are Memory Box and I saw on another blog have they had overlapped but when I put it on the card its a bit too long so that why its at an angle.

The papers are Doodlebug and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Do pop over and check out the team.

Tilly

Few weeks ago I had a jolly good spend in  Saturated Canary and brought loads of digis because the shop closes down at the end of this month. So what do I do used a image that I'm pretty sure I've had for a while and used before.

Saying that when I reduce the image size to one that suits me I save them in a word file but there isn't one for this Tilly Fairy, there is now.

The papers are Kaiser and the stars are Simon Say Stamp die using glitter card. The sentiment that looks a bit crooked it isn't by the way just the camera playing tricks, I'm afraid I don't know its on a random stamp set that I've had a while.

I'm running late with one of my DT cards so that will be my first job today. I planned to make it yesterday then realised we had planned an Opticians appointment with a bit of shopping and I was taken out for lunch too. The good news I saved my husband over £300 by not needing new glasses but he just gave me that look.

Canary Angel

Well this is the last card in my drafts and do have some more to photo which I will do so this morning.

This is the card I made but forgot I was suppose to use a sketch but I'm glad I didn't use the sketch the angle didn't deserved a busy card.

So I simply used the LOTV papers there are not many left now, I even used the papers for the Simon Says Stamp Poinsettias they are a die by the way.

I used the Crochet border die from MFT and I used my favourite lace which I need to source cos I need some more.

I used the some glamour dust for her the Saturated Canary Angel wings and the stars are memory box.

I still have a couple of cards for this week DT commitments but I've 2 male birthday, 1 female Birthday and 2 wedding cards to make. So I'm trying to sneak them in between the DT work because I'm itching to do some more scrapbooking and Olaf has a body now but apparently he has feet!

Hearts

It had to be a quick card for Everybody Art Challenge since I could only make my card last minute and this weeks challenge is for Hearts.

I was going to add flowers and point to the heart hiding behind my image but in the end I decided on some yellow polka dot hearts to match the stocking my image is wearing.

The adorable image is from Saturated Canary, I pretty sure she came with a group of images. The papers are some old ones no idea who since it was a 12 by 12 and I had cut them into 6inch and no manufacturing strip in sight.

The hearts are a Simon Says Stamp Die with graduating hearts and I used an old corner punch to make my rounded corners. The twine is of course doodlebug.

Do pop over and check out the team's fabulous creations and hope you can join us this month.

At last the plummer should be here soon to fit our new cold water tank and finally I can flush the loos, I've been an extra burden since I can't lift the buckets of water to flush them.

Recipe

Well I didn't plan that well today, I should of schedule my post knowing I only came back from MIL yesterday.

My card is for Everybody Art Challenge, this week we have a recipe of 3 papers, text and 3 flowers and I think I just about covered that in my card.

I think the papers are Doodlebugs and my flowers are a new Memory Box die, its on my desk so be warned I sure it will be use again.

I'm pretty sure the sketch is the week before's Sketch Saturday and to finish my card I used the Simon Says Stamp Wishing die and sentiments.

Nearly forgot my image is Saturated Canary, I think it was a collection that you brought but don't hold me to that.

Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog to check out the teams creations.

I shall have a bit of a rest day before I venture into my craftroom.

Paper Piecing

I love this cute image from Saturated Canary that I brought recently in a bundle. The skirt of the dress is ideal if you are colouring with copics but I didn't much fancy it with it with pencils so I decided to paper piece it.

I should of got up and find the Christmas Doodlebug paper that has small pattern but was feeling far too lacy and decided to use this LOTV papers instead. After I made the card I found the holly paper that went with it but too late now.

The idea of using the image to hide the join was a card on Pinterest using one of those Prima Doll stamps you know the ones with no face. I managed to get over Tilda's without a mouth but I don't get the no faces at all. But the Saturday Canary are ideal to do this since they are quite tall images.

To decorate I just got my favourite Holly swirl from Cheery Lyn but I did chop it up. Then some Simon Says Stamp Poinsettia Parade which I love because of their size. The stitched wavy scallop die is also from Simon Says Stamp, original I just cut it out of white and then decided to cut it in the red and carefully fussy cut the border just above the faux stitching.

The sentiment added last but held my breath since everything was stuck down and I had to avoid the dress because of how it was 3d.

Yesterday I decided I need some really quick Christmas Cards by using Pinterest, they all ended in the bin apart from one. So I gave up and coloured some images instead.

Flowers

Here's the other Birthday card I had to make fairly quickly possibly a Saturated Canary image probably wasn't the quickest to layer. Once I had done I knew it would work for the Everybody Art Challenge this week of Flowers, my punched flowers ticked that box.

The papers are are LOTV and the swirl is MFT, the birthday sentiment is a die from Simon Says Stamp as is the stamped wishes came from Its Your Birthday stamp set.

The scallop rectangle is from Avery Elle but cut to fit card, gives it a nice finish.

Do pop over to check out the creations the team have made and hope you can join us this month.

Little Kid

Saturated Canary a few weeks back had some new images which I picked up a couple including Three4thekids, they are so cute I had to get them, not that I have any kids!
I decided to cut her out, then layer and I added glossy accents to her glasses. I think when I make her into a card again I may paper piece her pinafore.
The papers are LOTV, favourite Memory Box die and some Elizabeth Designs Flower dies. I can't help thinking the bottom space needs a sentiment.
I love British Weather not! Saturday we had tempertures into the 30c yesterday it halved to 15c with enough rain for the year's total.
No card making yesterday was in and out all day and then decided I needed to get on with my minion, today I should get into my craft room today and I must colour some images for DT work.

Angel

Sometimes you see an image and you just know you have to have it and thats the case with the new Saturated Canary Angel. I did worry about her wings but they worked really well and I even layered them before covering in glamour dust.
I made her background using inks and when dried I added the snowflakes using the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil and embossing paste and again sprinkle glitter immediately after removing the stencil. I lifted off the paste of the image so when I layered it wouldn't be bumpy
Because I was layering the image it didn't matter that the inks went over the image I just need it so I could place the different parts where I had planned to go.
I had already planned on using the Spellbinder Floral Oval for a frame but once I placed it on white I knew it would be a mainly white card and I remembered the Memory Box mixed media die now I'm not sure of the blue behind it but it down match her clothes.
Of course now I need flowers and the Simon Says Stamp poinsettia was still on my desk so that was an easy chose and Cheery Lyn Holly die. Finally the La La Land corner to finish.
The weather wasn't playing fair yesterday and it drizzled in Littlehampton but it was interesting visiting somewhere where I hadn't been for years. Some things change but the coach stop looked the same and so did the beach car park.

Wine O'Clock

I love that I managed to get hold of the images from Saturated Canary that was on the free cd, I'm guessing if the magazine didn't close I wouldn't have been able to get them.
This is the image I wanted but the others were just as good. I paper pieced the dress but it was a bit of headache when I realised she didn't have the faux stitching from the Stitched Die on her dress. Did managed to do it although my signature is hiding it.
The papers I think is Echo Park and my flowers are punches and the sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp die. I tried this time to layer with black card and then add the red to help it be seen, not sure it worked and I don't think I'll do it that way again.

Ballerina

I believe there was a CD with a craft magazine with Saturated Canary images on which flew out of the shops then they promptly closed down. There was one particular image I loved so when Krista put them in her shop in two lots I brought them.
Did I used the girl with the glass of wine, well she is coloured but I went for the ballerina probably cos I was thinking of my niece's dance school whose students were taking their dance exams.
My papers are LOTV and I have feeling there was a sketch involved but all my cards are pre holiday and it seems a long time ago. I used my favourite Spellbinder Floral Oval, MFT crochet Border and I pretty sure those clouds are Simon Says Stamp along with the hearts.
Now I've come from temperatures of 32c but it didn't feel has hot has it been here in the UK and I didn't suffer quite so much with hayfever either. I've told Hubby now that we've sorted the cold problem in my craft room can we do something about the heat maybe a bit of air conditioning, he plugged in a fan!

Latte Thanks

It will have to be a quick post since I'm scheduling this for today because I should be on the way back from MIL.
Not sure this ticks all the boxes I like but do love the image from Saturated Canary. It had a black circle round it, not sure I was allow too but I erased it since I'm not sure I would use it that way. The papers are LOTV, Simon Says Stamp thanks die and sentiment, Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch for my little flowers.
Hopefully I will recover quick to be able to make some cards and be rested enough for the 12 hour crop on Saturday, hope you got your fingers crossed for me.

Good Luck

Its time for a new challenge on Everybody Art Challenge this week its a sketch. I'm pretty sure I only cheated once and that was for the lace and ribbon I've a sneaky feeling it should be under the mat its above.
Other than that I think I've kept pretty much to the sketch.

My papers are LOTV, flowers are the EK Success punch and the sentiment is a Woodware one.
The image is a Saturated Canary and I know here in the UK there are the Race for Life events going on, this image is perfect for that.
Do pop over and check out the team, also hope you can join us this week.

Specs

Another card I made a while ago that I had to wait for a sunny day to photo. It should have been the new challenge on Everybody Art Challenge which is for an Envelope but I didn't get round to making one I'm sure you understand why. But do pop over there and check out the team.
Back to my card I think the sketch started as last weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch but I replaced the fishtail banners with a couple of flowers.
The Saturated Canary image has been sitting in my coloured images pile for a while so I thought it was time to use her. I think the papers may be Echo Park but I can't be sure. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Soaring for You set, I think that sentiment is going to be a favourite cos I can use it for many different occasions and its not a bad size either.
I actually made two DT cards yesterday, today I plan to make another today.
