Pearls

We have a fabulous challenge this week on Everybody Art Challenge its Pearls or Beads. I used them for the inside of these Prima flowers that happen to be in my Simon Says Stamps parcel a couple of weeks ago. They have a funny orange centres but they are easy to remove.
I use a Belles 'n' Whistles image and Kathy's sketch from Just Magnolia a couple of weeks ago cos I love it so much. A different Martha Stewart border punch to go round the oval it was bit more fiddly than my favourite but it still works.
The papers are those gorgeous Kaiser Magic Happens that I also used yesterday. It so wouldn't be my card if there wasn't a bit of ribbon somewhere.

With these beautiful days comes annoying bugs in my room who think my fluorescent bulb is daylight so I turn it off in hope they leave. Well this little bug wasn't going any where so I whacked it with a piece of card, missed it but my bulb shattered and Hubby wasn't able to buy a replacement cos its an odd size. So while I'm waiting for him to get round to putting a brand new one in, I've moved into the dining room again.

Birthday Tilda

They celebrating over on Just Magnolia and for their challenge this week its a Birthday card and I decided to use one the Tilda from the Wedding collection I think.
I used the gorgeous Kaiser papers Magic Happens and the sketch started as Kathy's sketch from last week but then it went its own way. The doily is a Marianne die but I then used the die as a template and drew round it so that the doily had mat underneath to make the cut out show up. Martha Stewart Cherish punch for the border and some-one stop me using the deep edge doily punch border round the image mat I don't seemed to be able to stop myself.
Some Wild Orchid roses, craftwork sentiment, ribbon and some glamour dust to finish.
I had a fabby time at Scrapbuddies and managed to make something for my Vegas book that was just an idea but i managed to transfer it to paper but it kept me very busy and time just flew by.

I dare you

Well Mr Blogger I hope you're behaving because this is a schedule post while I'm off having fun at the Scrapbuddies Crop.
It Mr Grumpys Birthday yesterday and I had to make sure he received the card before I put it on my blog he looks over my Sis shoulder when she checks out my blog.
As soon as I saw the sentiment from High Hopes latest release I knew I had to use it for my BIL and Dustin Pikes Fireman Dragon was perfect, again its one from the new stamps. You can get them from the following.

The High Hopes Website

I used the sketch from Stamp with Fun but I've used it as a mirror image and I sneaked in a border through the middle. Of course being a pesky mans card and I used busy papers hardly any embellishments just my faux brads, photo corners and a knotted ribbon.
Since I layer my images for dimension I entering this for the Papertake Weekly challenge.

Easter Extravaganza

I always try to make my DT in advance you never know how I'm feeling and I would hate to let people down. I made this card, photo it, adjusted the pixels and saved. If anyone can let me know where I filed it well it would of helped a couple hours ago. It should of been in the Penny Black folder obvious really but it wasn't there. So I had to wait till it lighten up a bit before photo it again. So here it is my Penny Black Saturday Challenge Easter Extravaganza card.
I used the long row of Bunnies in the flowerpots and I wanted to try something different because together the image doesn't work very well on a large card and there is only so much you can do on a long card. So I used them seperatly.
I quite like the well it turned out, the papers are scraps of Doodlbug and I faux stitched round the squares. The flowers are Woodware daisy punches and so is the sentiment.

Well I should of made a couple of cards yesterday but decided to put some stamps away but the box was full and I knew it time to be cruel and have a really good look to see if I would use them again ever. Few hours later I had a couple of shoeboxes of stamps I won't use. So DD has them well at least they not in my room!

Pearls and Swirls

Time for a new Gem of Challenge and this week its Pearls and Swirls and I used one of Pink Gem Digis. Getting a good idea what size to make this digis now.
I've used the fab Hopscotch papers from Basic Grey and I apologise for using that Martha Stewart deep edge doily punch for the border round the circle. The Doo-Hickey swirl its my favourite and EK sucess punched flowers with pearls to finish and not forget my Cuttlebug corners.
And yes I did colour the Cupcake Bear with mouse colours poor thing.

Penny Black Hedgie

Phew back to normal and a card with a few layers. I've used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday  that I rotated upside down and a cute Penny Black Hedge which will fit the A spoonful of Sugar challenge.
The papers are My Minds Eye possibly Fine and Dandy and I've used the Martha Stewart fence border. Flowers are a Woodware punch along with the sentiment. Used the deep edge punch for doily border round the circle mat and with a final touch of ribbon job done.
Well the weekend is upon us and its Scrapbuddies on Sunday, I've nearly finished with my Vegas trip but then I shall be onto LA.

Shock Horror

OMG this weeks Less is More is really hard, well it is for me, this card is almost naked! Not sure if this is right for the challenge but I'm sure the girls will let me know.
I had to add the ribbon, the brads and pearls otherwise it would have ended in the bin where the other two went!
The clock  and sentiment are both from Stampin Up.
Well this was certainly a challenge not sure I can dare to look at the next weeks till I get over the shock.

Shabby Chic!!!!!

Seeing that Belles'n'Whistles have released some old Elizabeth Bell stamps reminded that I had the originals from Sugar Nellie Stamps and they needed to be dusted off. This one is one of my favourites not sure why I wanted to used the grungy papers from My Minds Eye but obviously thought it was a good idea when I was colouring.
The sketch I used is from Sketch Saturday but I turned it a bit to suit my image. The large flower is a Stamping up scallop circle punch, Nikki my demo showed us how to make it, then I wanted smaller flowers but they didn't quite work out.
After working on this card I worked out that I could only make a couple of cards a day cos the third one I'm never quite happy with and this card was a third.
I wonder what label I should give this card!

WOYWW and A card for FairyKaren

 This seems to be the norm on Wednesday Morning when I take a pic for the WOYWW. Mmmmm notice that the right hand pile waiting to be put away is growing again.

I think these Martha Stewart punches are taking over my room, especially seeing as I've brought a couple more.
While at Ally Pally on Sunday we arrange to meet up with FairyKaren where over lunch we compare new goodies, so that we can then buy other peoples bargains!
She couldn't understand why I wanted the LOTV ribbon stamps, well FairyKaren if you reading this, the next couple of photos are just for you.

 Here are two very simple cards using the ribbon stamps, stamped on white card  and cut out and layered. I use a Stampin Up sentiment and the black ribbon needed a couple of pearls. Just think what you can do with these stamps on co-ordinating cardstock ie the Basic Grey ones that I never seem to use.

So FairyKaren do you see why those Ribbon stamps are a must have!

A card for a Child

Simon Says Stamps Challenge this week is to make a card for a Child. I used a Belles and Whistle stamp that Simon Says Stamps are now selling along with the new release.

Where would be today with out Spellbinders Nestabilities again you can get them from Simon Says Stamps along with the new ones too,loving the Parisian accents. I also discovered the my Martha Stewart cornflower punch you can buy that here.

A sketch for Tuesday

Alex my team-mate on Everybody Art Challenge has designed a sketch for this weeks challenge, its a nice easy one that you dress up or down which everway you fancy. My papers are very busy so this is clean and simple for me, just looks busy.

The cute bunny is from LOTV and if your a reqular vistor to my blog you will know I've used the deep edge doily punch from Martha Stewart. The daisies are Woodware punches and so it is the stamp I used for the sentiment.  I also used a Martha Stewart punch for the middle mat and the corners are Quickutz.

Tilda in the Pink

Another Sunglasses moment with these Delovey papers from Cosmo Cricket. I'm using the fabulous sketch from Kathy on Just Magnolia. My oval which has been embossed with a daisy cuttlebug folder was cut out using  the cricut and the deep edge doily punch  has been used for the border.
The flowers are Nellie Snellden (sorry spelling) punches, the stamens is an Leone-em and the swirls are EK success but I've cut them to suit.
I've also used a Craftwork sentiment and last but not least is Tilda herself.
I had an brilliant time at Ally Pally, last time we went it was a Saturday and it was so busy, not fun when you're having to use a wheelchair because you can't walk too far. But yesterday was lovely and quiet. My first stop was Lily of the Valley where I met Jacqui after the hugs she promptly spend nearly all my money on the new stamps and the girls I were with loved her creations which are even more gorgeous in real life.
I met Sylvie (Gibmiss) in Hobby House where we were admiring Tab's Fuzzy Moon cards. Had a lovely chat with Sylvie she is one of those people I clicked with straight away just wished she lived nearer instead of Gibraltar. I was on the look out for Clare ( My Purrfect World of cats, cards & crafts) but she found me first instead.
I've brought quite a few goodies and really pleased with my hoard.

Totally Denzil Dragon

Hopefully this post is being posted by Mr Blogger because it will be an early start this morning. I need to be dropped off at my Sis who then has to collect her friend before we start travelling to Ally Pally.
So if Mr Blogger has done his job you should be looking at Denzil the dragon, a digi image from Pink Gem Designs. He holding a blue rose to match the First Edition papers which I think is my favourite pack.
I using the sketch from Totally Papercrafts by Sue.
I've used a rose embossing folder and the corners from Cuttlebug. The teeny tiny flower is a do-crafts punch with some tiny pearls. A Martha Stewart punch for the strip in the middle and a Hero Arts clear design sentiment.
Lets hope I don't forget my list this morning.

Say it with Flowers the Penny Black way

I have to confess when  I made this card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge Say it with Flowers, Mr Mojo had flown the nest and looking at the card again this morning its very clean and simple well for me it is.
The papers are Bo Bunny and theres the usual bit of ribbon and funky flowers. The images is an old  PB stamp that I got second hand.
Theres a cool $20 prize to win this week from 1-2-3 Stitch and don't forget to check out the amazing cards made by the DT.
So I've made a list, what for you ask. Its my Ally Pally list and at the top of my list will be to check out the new Lily of Valley stamps definitely need the ribbon stamp but not too sure on the others but will wait and see in RL thats ifthey have any left because I'm going Sunday.

Sunglasses at the ready

Sunglasses at the ready and not just because its going to be a sunny weekend but my card is a bit bright! I've used the patterned paper from First Edition Hideaway and coloured the Penny Black girls accordingly.
I'm also on the look out for new sketch blogs since my favourite shut down so I've used Sweet Sketch Wednesday its a really fabulous sketch so will make sure I check them out each week.
I made the swirly border using EK success punch after watch a Bramwell video on U tube, I didn't watch the whole thing since I knew how do it, used to do it with the Fiskars border punches years ago.
Had a lovely surprise yesterday my DD rang me on my mobile to tell the Postman had left a parcel in a not so particular safe space, oh goodie its my parcel from Simon Says Stamps.

Penny Black Mousey Couple

After the shock of making CAS cards I've gone back to AMAYC (as much as you can) cards. To be honest I could put a heck of lot more stuff on this card.
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday this week, did get lost on the layers and managed to cut one too small. I used the Kaiser papers English Rose Collection, really must stop buying papers and then finding I can't cut into them.
Roses probably from Wild Orchid, cuttlebug corners, finished with lace and ribbon. My image is Penny Black, do adore this mousey couple. I'm have a small problem embossing at the moment I'm using a new Pergamano mat and its creasing my images a little. It will get better just need wear it in.
Started a list for Ally Pally, on the top is LOTV new stamps but I'm going on Sunday so I'll bet they'll be sold and I will have to wait patiently till later this month.

Blog Hop

Well today's the day of the new release over on High Hopes Stamps and you have to have Blog Hop to celebrate.
First things first here's my card today using Sailor Andy and you get the cute sailing boats too. Of course I do realise that the clourd should of been white and the sky blue, when I realised my error after colouring in all those boats I'm calling it artistic!
I had to use these papers because the swirly pattern I thought would be perfect for the sea.
Now but to blog hopping, you should of got here from Jeanette but if you didn't you need to start at the High Hopes Challenge Blog. Its a good idea to follow the hop because random Divas will be having surprise candy and no-one knows who it is yet.

Less is More and WOYWW

 So last night Hubby was working with BIL and DD was watching a dvd which would only work on her dvd player so I went in my room for a play. This is my WOYWW when I finished, not too bad although I had already tidy up once.
I've admire all the CAS cards and love the Less is More challenges but its something I find really hard to do. For instance this week is a touch of red and I had managed to get my hands on this flower stamp from Hero Arts that I've admired for many months on Kaths blog.  Since I wasn't convince this would work I used a scrap of pattern paper which now I wish I had a bit more cos I could of layered the flower a bit more and the black beads would then be inside a petal.
Stil I'm really pleased how it turned out, I hadn't forgotten how to make my flat bows, last time I made them was at Christmas. Don't stamp sentiment stamps when you've just refilled the inkpad so I apologise for the sloppy stamping but what a brilliant sentiment from Stampin up.
The hardest thing was not to put anything in the top left hand corner so much so I had to hide the card!!!!!

My friend has recently become a Stampin  Up Demostrater and she keeps showing stuff thats not on my wish list which included the green inkpad and the stamps I used for the next card. I used the Less is More sketch from last week and the border punch is EK success. I cut a strip slighty thinner than 1 1/2 inch which left room in the middle for the ribbon. Its easy to make a strip like this, remember where you start from and when you've punched one side, flip it over to the other side and start from place your started on the other side.
There was no way I was leaving the top blank which is way I put the pearls there, originally I thought they were to small but less is more!
