Giggling Snowman

I've worked out why my cards are wonky, well 0.5 wonky but none of my photo editing programs can deal with it so I guess I'm going to have to put up with it and stop moaning about it.

So lets get onto my card using the cute Giggling Snowman from Mo Manning. I've the colouring simple and I dotted the scarf with a white pen saves trying colour round them. I fussy cut a border round him since I knew he was going onto patterned paper and this would make he show up a bit.

I used my favourite Spellbinders Floral Oval along with Simon says Stamp Slops and Hills, the trees are Memory Box and the snow embossing fold is from Taylors Expression.

Snowflakes and sentiment both from Simon Says Stamp and the red paper is Doodlebug.

We are having a FB challenge of Anything Christmas you can find out the details here.

Don't forget to get your 15% off but you haven't got long.

Crazy Snow Cat

wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Food and Drink Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is

Anything Goes

We are showcasing Tim Holtz Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
50dollar_voucher_600px

This didn't quite turn out how I wanted, I did have a santa hat for the cat but it didn't fit the card but as soon as a challenge mentions Tim Holtz my brain goes to mush!

I used Simon Says Stamp Slopes and Hills die along with their Eyelet Arch Border die. The layout is loosely based on a sketch which didn't quite work but do like how my border looks like.

My favourite sentiment from Christmas Toys from Simon Says Stamp stamped and Embossed with WOW white embossing powder.

To give my Crazy Cat from Tim Holtz something to look to I've used Simon Says Stamp Holy Stars but I used the smaller one and I put double sided tape before cutting it so I could add some glitter (which my camera hates and turned it into an off white colour).

My bits of snow are Nuvo Gloss Simply White. Still not sure of my card and wish I hadn't stuck down my cat till after I fixed his hat and it would have looked a touch better.

Christmas Card Assembly

Now again my daughter as the need to go to Hobbycraft and she now rings me to see if I want to go. Lets be honest am I really going to say no. I don't usually buy much mainly glue, fun foam etc but I saw this lonely packet of wooden stag heads and I knew the the Newton Nook word stamp was winging it way from the US.

In the end I couldn't wait and brought it from a UK shop and the other one can go into a prize for later next month if I ever get my act together.

The papers are some leftover from LOTV paper packs, the holly is a Martha Stewart punch that is still just about working. The frame is made with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle dies. I broke one the stag antlers didn't realise they were so delicate. A bit disappointed that the cards don't fit normal post slot.

Not to worry suddenly remembered I already had the Newton Nook Stag Head die which of course works perfectly through the normal post slot.

I found some wood looking patterned paper to cut the heads out and this time I used MFT Scallop frame die and my favourite sentiment from last year to finish of with a flat bow.

Holiday Layouts

I didn't make too many layouts of our Holiday in 2015 I've made layouts of our favourite holiday place.  Just recorded the stories we made and prove that my two grown up children were with us.

I'm pretty sure they are Echo Park summer collection pack embellished with stickers that came with the collection and dies out of my stash.

Something I do regularly is to use the strip of on the front cover that as all the tiny strips of the paper.

I had a good time at the All Day Crop but I'm never taking card making again, I was so jealous of majority of my friends who were scrapbooking, lesson learnt.

I have with the help of my sister nagging me made about twenty Christmas Cards, they are all quick easy and linear. This means most are made now and I can make Christmas cards that are fun to make and can take as long as I like to make them.

Frost

Now if there was ever a Mo Manning image that should have a matching die it would be this one well at least that was what I was thinking when I was fussy cutting Frost out.

I made the frame using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and the Kaiser snowflake paper back the frame. The ombre paper on the front was with the Kaiser pack which is funny because when I first started card making many years ago you could get paper like this in all colours.

I used glitter card for the Believe and the snowflakes which are Simon says Stamp and Lawn Fawn ones. You could put some acetate between the frame and make a shaker card.

Have you seen the new fabulous images from Mo and you get 15% off till 1st December.

50dollar_voucher_600px

This Mama Elephant Nom Nom Kitties reminds me of Lady and Tramp in cat way! I didn't get the dies which is fine till I decide to cut round the image and wish I had.

I was thinking of stencilling my wall I have done in the past but it just so happened that Doodlebug Milk and Cookies paper pad was on my desk and what was inside this perfect paper.

I cut it into three because in my head I had a sketch from a challenge but thats probably over now. The top bricks are just a strip of card and using a circle punch made the curve ends.

I decided to be early for Hubby's Valentine card and got out my Simon Says Stamp Kristina's Love set and added some hearts from the Simon Says Stamp Holiday Shapes. Lets hope I don't have senior moment and forget I made it.

Sunflowers

Found these lost in my list of posts, they're using Simon Says Stamp Summer Flowers. I used Oxides instead of actually colouring with pens or pencils.

The top one I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares, a corner punch and finally the sentiment is Simon Says Stamp Birthday Messages.

This time I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and Bundle of Stitched Shapes. I actually stamped the background with Simon Says Stamp Good Reading Background stamp but using a torn bit of paper so it doesn't stamp across the whole rectangle, also I used the second impression because I didn't want it to stand out.

I used the Lawn Fawn Belated Birthday set to stamp my belated but the birthday sentiment is Simon Says Stamp Best Hugs.

Lets Pretend

Can't believe how grown up this little lad is now, I really need to scrapbook faster if I'm ever to catch up. Apologies for a crooked photo but 12 inch layouts are even more difficult to photo than small cards!

The papers are from the Goodie bag from the Scrap Cafe Retreat not sure which retreat. The cutley die is either Paper Smooches or Avery Elle. I really must source a cupcake die I'm pretty sure this is one of Scrap Cafe dies that I've used.

I'm going to an All Day Crop on Saturday but it looks like I will be making Christmas Cards. I've printed some samples from Pinterest and will then be able to work out what to take. I'm pretty sure if I gathered up all my Christmas stuff it won't fit in the car!

Chill

Its nice to have a break from assembly line Christmas Cards and use some of my favourite Mo Manning images. This little cutie is called Chill and I used my favourite make of papers Doodlebug.

The scallop border is Lawn Fawn and the frame round my image is MFT. The snowflakes are Simon Says Stamp along with teeny tiny ones from Lawn Fawn.

To finish a bit of ribbon and I can fit into normal post bow. The fluffy edges on her hat and coat is a mixture of flower soft and fun flock. Her icy breath is some glossy accents and a lot of glitter.

Furry Friends

wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Snow White Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

Furry Friends

We are showcasing Newtons Nook Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
50dollar_voucher_600px

I'm working a few weeks in advance in order to free up some time for assembly Christmas Cards so apologise for any sold outs on Simon Says Stamp.

So to start my cute furry friend is obviously Ornamental Newton Stamp and I also have the die which I have used but to be honest I could have easily just stamped on the white. But it will be useful if I decide to use him again and put him on patterned paper.

Now I love non traditional colours and this pattern paper pad from Pink and Main called Frosty was crying out my name. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Oval to cut out the centre but you easily used any shape.

I think I brought the Believe die and Stamp set early this year too late for my Christmas cards, so I'm loving using it on everything! The sentiments are brilliant used it on a Scrapbook layout as well this year.

The Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips are MFT, I actually cut this out first then stamped the sentiment using the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform. I do have a Misti but I only have a tiny workspace that I have to clear to open the side/top but the stamp platform the front comes off and I can stamp using the space I actually work on no clearing up the mess I make. To be honest what sold it to me was a Scrapbooking telling me I can use it on 12 or 8 inch cardstock!

Right back to the card my Bauble is another Simon Says Stamp die called Lulu and I used their Pine Needles die well I had some already cut from my Christmas Card assembly line.

Believe

Here's the card inspired by my Rejoice one for Snow White Simon Says Stamp Wedneday Challenge and I had a assembly line going to make another six cards.

This time I decided on only having two poinsettias one I think it works. The only difference is I used the Believe die and stamp set.

Need a lot more Christmas card to be made, I think I may have to buy some!!!!

Water Play

Ok they are pretty awful photos but the story and the my nephew's cheeky face is worth Scrapping. I hope it shows up better if you click on it.

I have a bag odd's and sods left from 3 packets of Echo Park boy papers and stickers which I have used. The paper that looks like wood and the green are other odds that worked with them.
I wanted a big letters so I cut them on the Cricut.

While doing this from a sketch I found on Pinterest I realised I made something similar. I had a real job to find it and in the end I copied it from my Scrapbooking on Pinterest because I couldn't find it on my Scrapbooking Blog All in One Place.

Inspired from MJ layout

Sizzix Robin

Sorry for the yellowy white card having real problems photo white cards which is a pain since I love white cards a lot.

While I was smooching on Amazon I saw this robin and decided he could be useful well 6 cards useful. He was a bit fiddly to assembly especially as I decided to ink round the die cuts to make him more life like.

The Holly and Mistletoe swirl is Cheery Lynn, I think and my sentiment is a clear LOTV. I dotted his eye with a white pen and I played with my corner punch to make a bit more interest in what is a plain card.

Ragged Winnie

I sorted out my Christmas box of papers and I found some really old ones, this one is Basic Grey out of 6inch pad but was too gorgeous to cut and use so it never was till now. still couldn't cut it.

So my gorgeous image is from Mo Manning called Raggedy Winnie, I actually printed on the patterned card for my base image and then coloured and fussy cut as normal. There were a lot of bits to cut and I could even do more with her skirt, I might do next time.

Christmas Cards means that my favourite dies are on my desk, so thats Simon Says Stamp Maryann snowflake and their Poinsettia Parade dies, along with their new Pine Needles Trio.

I did cut another strip of patterned paper but I needed of bothered its barely noticable, ribbon and a bow to finish.

I should of been making DT cards yesterday but instead I made another 9 supposedly quick cards.

I've just been to Mo's shop to get a link for my image and found out that there is a Coloured Version not sure I would like to print off several to make my layer image but could be handy if you want to make quick cards.

Snow White

wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Gift Tag Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is

Snow White

Lots of options here, you could add snow to your project or use a lot of white on your creation. We will be looking forward to seeing how you interpret this theme!
We are showcasing Reverse Confetti Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have them we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
50dollar_voucher_600px

I saw the Snow White Challenge so I took it literally meaning a white card with a touch of red for Snow White's lips are red as the rose. It also meant I could use Simon Says Stamp Rejoice die.

You could be asking where's the Reverse Confetti product well its the amazing Pierced Round Top die. To start with I planned to used a small one and add a white bouquet, but I was looking at it and wondered if I could use the large one to make the actual card.

It was so easy to do, I just lined up the fold at the edge and run it through the big shot, you just have to make sure you cutting the right side. I did manage to make one opening the wrong way. I was so please how it looked and another 6 was made for my Christmas cards. Oh I using some Linen Card I think it makes my cards look more expensive!

I was pleased that the Simon Says Stamp Pine Needle Trio arrived in my craft room, they made a base for my Simon Says Stamp Poinsettia Parade still my favourite poinsettia die. I found some small red pearls in my stash but I've recently brought Nuvo Red Berry drop the plan is not to buy as many gems in the future.

Here's a clue what I used for the same card but using the Simon Says Stamp Believe Stamp and Die set.

Quick Card for a Baby

Look what I found in my drafts, forgot I made this probably because it was a rush card and it left the house with the glue barely dry.

My son asked for a baby girl card, I didn't have one in my already made box and didn't have time to colour a image as well make the card so MFT dies and stamp came to the rescue.

I used the cuttlebug heart embossing folder, long since been retired but still a firm favourite in my craft room. The frame is using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and the Congratulations die I think could be Paper Smooches.

I had some old pink scrapbooking papers that I knew I would only use for card making so I had cut them into 6 inches squares so I couldn't find a manufacture, they are old but I think they could be Pebbles.

I cut them with MFT Baby dies, the line and pegs came with the die, a little bit of pink ink dusted round the edges to finish off. Once I had stuck everything down I decided to stamp the sentiment and I'm not convinced that its straight!

Happy Birthday

Christmas cards came to a halt while I made a special card for a special lady. I used the Art Impression stamp who are brilliant with grown up images. I paper pieced her outfit to match the patterned paper in the card.

The balloon are some really old dies which I have no idea whose but most companies make a balloon die. I think the numbers are Memory Box but I need a really small set of numbers which I will be on the search for.

Flowers are a die I randomly brought somewhere but the centres are circle punches and the sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp.

Happy Big 70 Birthday Christine.

The birthday girl is wearing the sunglasses and the other lady is my other SIL, I thought I would show this layout here so it doesn't pop up on my timeline on FB. I can't remember the occasion but I do know that neither have worn the dress again!

Wishing for Snow

Its Christmas cards all the way now with a few Birthday along the way. I've got some new dies but its my favourite Christmas images. This one is from Mo Manning called Wishing for Snow (I'm really not).

I do like nontraditional colours and the Kaiser papers tick this box, favourite dies I think are Simon Says Stamp, a bit of lace and ribbon. All thats left is the LOTV sentiment cut out with some circle punches.

The hardest part was all the layers and making sure the right ones were laid first.

Presents are starting to be brought and food lists are made up. Like every year we are going to buy less, we will wait and see if that works.

I recommend bookmarking Tracy's Blog, I've seen the some sneak peeks on amazing tags coming in the next 25 days. I'm almost ashamed to show my little tag and my effort to make a seasonal photo. Yes the Christmas Salt and Pepper pots have been dusted ready for my Christmas posts.

Now my cute tags are made using some Oxides but first I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Snow Falling back ground stamp with Versamark and embossed using WOW Bright White embossing powder.

I then cut out my tags using the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags dies, then out came the Oxides I used Broken China. Salty Sea and Faded Jeans to make my snowy sky. My snow drifts are cut using the Simon Says Stamps Slopes and Hills dies.

My cute reindeer is another die from Simon Says Stamp called Retro Deer die, just used a black pen to dot an eye and found some small red pearls for nose out of my own stash but you easily use Nuvo Drops or Liquid Pearls.

To finish I've used the Simon says Stamp Stitched Flakes and added a sentiment using Simon Says Stamp Retro Christmas stamp. The back of my tags are a bit messy so I cut some more white tags to stick to the back and stamped the to and from which are also in the same stamp set.
