Christmas Card Assembly

Now again my daughter as the need to go to Hobbycraft and she now rings me to see if I want to go. Lets be honest am I really going to say no. I don't usually buy much mainly glue, fun foam etc but I saw this lonely packet of wooden stag heads and I knew the the Newton Nook word stamp was winging it way from the US.

In the end I couldn't wait and brought it from a UK shop and the other one can go into a prize for later next month if I ever get my act together.

The papers are some leftover from LOTV paper packs, the holly is a Martha Stewart punch that is still just about working. The frame is made with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle dies. I broke one the stag antlers didn't realise they were so delicate. A bit disappointed that the cards don't fit normal post slot.

Not to worry suddenly remembered I already had the Newton Nook Stag Head die which of course works perfectly through the normal post slot.

I found some wood looking patterned paper to cut the heads out and this time I used MFT Scallop frame die and my favourite sentiment from last year to finish of with a flat bow.

  1. Perfect Christmas cards, I think I'll need to invest in that stamp Debby. I have a cute antler die that I didn't have any inspiration for so I could pinch your idea :)
I went to Hobbycraft yesterday as it happens for some bits, I don't go often but it is quite near for emergency supplies, I was amazed how busy it was!

  3. Two beautiful cards Debby and I adore the green plaid backgrounds on both, and the stamped reindeer list. The added holly leaves around the stitched frame together with the wooden stags head make lovely embellishments on the first. On the second the die cut stag sits very prettily over the oval frame, and the bright red ribbon finishes it perfectly. x
