Bride's Mother
I managed to almost finish all the Wedding layouts at the Charity Crop with the Scrap Cafe, just one left to do. Using Pinterest I had roughly decided the sketches I would use but with the holiday in between they turned int something completely different.
I kept it very simple using the Kaiser papers, the black and white trim was the company name that you cut off but have a border on the back.
The flowers are Asters from Memory Box cut several times for each flower to make the daisy. The leaves are Birch Leaves Memory Box and the leaf swirl is Cheery Lyn.
I've probably mentioned it already but the little wooden hearts were on the dining tables that found their way into my handbag and so far added to all the pages.
What was really interesting was that the bride was born in the hospital where my husband was living as a child and that they used to live in the same town where he came from, small world.
The Charity Crop was a huge success and over £900 was made but the venue was a bit too far for me to go on a regular bases, not to worry, have a crop this Saturday coming and the retreat is less than three weeks away.

Sledge of Toys
Oops I schedule this post but forgot to write about it, hope I can do before it posts in five minutes.
Now I'm back from my hols I've really got to get going with my Christmas cards and Mo's Tot with Present is one card nearer to my total.
My papers are some old Doodlebug, I pretty sure the layout is a sketch but no idea now since I made the card before my hols. The holly leaves I want to say is Penny Black but don't hold me to that. At least I know the poinsettias are Simon says Stamp Poinsettia Parade.
I cheated again and used an old peel off sentiment and with a bit of ribbon and tiny gold pearls to finish.

I made quite a few cards before I left for my hols in Spain just hope I can remember what I used. First of my Hero Art Christmas Mice Stamps I stamped the cheese a few times so I could use the bit of holly to decorate my card.
I used My Favourite Things Stitched Collage Frame for placing my mice. The sentiment is Simon Says Stamp Yuletide Greetings. Which I stamped and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.
To make my snowy scene in the other square I used Simon says Stamp Stitched Slopes and Hills and my trees are cut out from the Memory Box Stitched Circle Trees.
I place the frame on navy card and used the Tonic Nuvo White Crystal Drops for snow.

Bridal Wall
My sister wanted me to leave the pink wall alone with just the Simon says Stamp Heart Smile diecut but I couldn't and added some relevant stickers Tim Holtz Big Chat.
The kraft love paper was in the Scrap Cafe reduced box and the pink brick paper I believe Kaiser. the Ivy leaves are Sue Wilson Creative Expression and I bet all the card makers can recognised the Spell Binders Floral Oval, I've nearly worn my out, I wonder if its still made.
The Love die I used which I absolutely love using on scrapbook layouts is an Avery Elle one I've had it quite a few years now another die possibly not made anymore. Thats the last of my layouts lets hope I was up to making a couple yesterday.

Poinsettia Spray
All the pieces used to make this card came out of the baggie of leftover from last Christmas, just had to add a few more of Simon says Stamp Poinsettia Parade, didn't quite have enough.
Now lets see if I remember what I used, first of I used the Simon says Stamp Bundle of Shapes for my card front and then used their Stitched Oval for my words and poinsettia spray.
The spray was made up with of course Poinsettia Parade and they are backed with the Simon says Stamp Pine Needle Trio.
Finally the sentiment using the Simon says Stamp Believe die and stamp set , the stamped words were stamped on MFT Stitched Fishtail Banners.
Well that the last of the schedule posts I should almost be home from my holiday. Tomorrow which may be a mistake I'm going to a crop but I packed my bags before we left and Hubby will come for me when I've had enough. It's a special Craftathon for Breast Cancer there are several happening over the next few weeks.

Snowball
I'm a big fan of non traditional Christmas colours and I've only got a few scraps left of this Doodlebug paper do hope one of my favourite paper companies make one for this year.
The sweet image from Mo Manning called Snow-Tot-One works well with these colours, you could paper piece her all in one suit. It reminds me so much of my DD when she little and her Pink One Suit.
I'm pretty sure the card layout was based on a sketch, yep forgotten already. The snowflakes are various ones Simon says Stamp Maryann and Stitched Snowflake dies and Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes. Some tiny pearls to finish them.
The MFT Crochet Border which shows up much better on the photograph than in real life and some pretty grosgrain ribbon with flat bow so the card might fit in normal post.
I confess the black sentiment is a peel off, I don't plan to buy anymore but I might as well use up the sentiments ones.

Bling it on
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Pop It Up Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
We will be back soon with the name of the lucky winner of the $50 Voucher
This week the challenge is to add some bling ie, glitter, gems etc to your creations!
Bling It On
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! I really need to pay attention to what I buy for Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge even when it was in my basket I still didn't twig that the Studio Katia Floral Cross was actually I beautifully cross and not pretty corner stamps that immediately came to my mind when I saw the stamp set on Simon says Stamp. I did also buy some pretty Satin Vinca flower sequins and some pretty star ones as well, I used the Vinca ones on my card hopefully that works for bling.
I decided to used the stamps for my card using them as I first thought for corners. I used the Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangles but I added a black mat before glueing to the pink mat this was to imitate the black line in the flowers.
The Simon says Stamp Happy Birthday die, its one of my faves since its a bit unusual. The flowers were all cut out and I used my secret weapon of the Pumice Stone Distress Marker so no-one can see the white core or pants cutting out. Don't think you can get away with a black pen makes your flower lines too harsh.
Have confess my card is quite simple but I was in a hurry to make sure it was made before leaving for my holiday at my sister's place in Spain but sometimes Clean and Simple is the best.

Shaker Mermaid
I don't know why I make things more complicated for myself but making a shaking card where the background, frame and base come out of the same Oxide background and matching with each other, trust me it wasn't easy!
The easy bit was the Simon says Stamp BeautifulMermaid and all the fishes, seahorse and reeds, they just need colouring and cutting out. The colouring I used Faber Castell Polychromos and when I finished cutting out I edged the poorly cut edges with a Pumice Stone Distress Marker, I do class this as my secret weapon.
The sequins came with the card kit and that sweet sentiment is from Simon says Stamp Messages for Everyday using theirs Stitched Banners.
I obviously didn't heed my own warning because there's another shaker card in my drafts!

Bridal Pattern
I have quite a few beautiful wedding photo to scrapbook not all mine, I may have stolen some from FB there are a lot more better photographers than me likethe person who took this one.
I made the heart by roughly drawing one, must remember to use a scrap piece of paper if I do it again some of the pencil makes didn't quite erased out but some fancy flowers and hearts hid that fact.
The little wooden hearts were on the actually table at the wedding and when the rest of table realised why I put a few in my purse they collected up the whole table's worth but it was nice reminder of the lovely day.
The large daisies are Memory Box and so is the Birch leaves if they aren't then they are Poppy stamps, just noticed the Tender Fern now that's definitely Memory Box. The swirl is Penny Black Flourish and the letters in my stash.

Blue Yuletide Greetings
When I stamped and embossed for my SSSWchallenge card I didn't realised that the Simon says Stamp Yuletide Greetings hadn't been used!
I had to remedy that asap and this is what I quickly made. I love White and Navy colour combo for Christmas card and I was impressed how the clear stamps stamped usually I'm stamping several time to get them to be dirty so they stamp better but not these even used a Stamp Positioner in case they needed stamping twice but I didn't need to.
I had a scrap of white that I had already used the Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangles on so I used it again to give a layering mat but also I need to find the size I used so I could use it on my Stitched Slopes and Hills to give a finished look.
Finally a snowflake to make a plain card nicer using Simon says Stamp Maryann snowflake die and the one of their Stitched Snowflake cut in the navy to match the stamping. The little round dot is from the waste from one of Tim Holtz Gearhead dies.

Experimental Blanket
Finally my experiment is finished still wonder whether I need more butterflies, keep telling myself less is more not sure its working though. Once I give it away to the little person its made for I will be happy because I won't have to wonder anymore.
A bit of a close up hope it loved.
My Eastern Jewels is on the way on being stitched together, it's been a bit of nightmare not because the pattern was hard but I had to change my hook size but if I used the one to get the tension right it would look awful. So I'm hoping it will be just smaller in size but then I forgot what size hooks I were using and sometimes I even forgot to change the hook at the times the pattern would say. Also my double trebles weren't long enough so I had to do triples and they were untidy, hope it all works out in the wash!

Winter Fairy
If you were really quick you wouldn't have caught this fairy being posted before I managed to delete the post. I was trying to schedule it but forgot I wanted it to post in September not August!!!!!
Anyway back to my sweet Winter Fairy Talva from Mo Manning, my Christmas Pile as to have at least one of these gorgeous fairies.
My papers are Kaiser, possibly from last year but don't hold me to that and I can't remember whose sketch I used either.
The sentiment is from a retired Simon says Stamp Christmas Toys, still love using it, the scallop border I'll be honest no idea since there are so faux stitches!
The snowflakes are Simon says Stamp Stitched Snowflakes with Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes cut from white card and silver glitter card.
Now how I decorated the icicles on her wing, also the snowball this was with some Glossy Accents and some Glamour Dust which I'm not sure if the dust is still available. Finally using my mixture of Fun Flock and Flower soft for the fluffy bits on her boots, bobbles and hair band. I also used a white pen for the white dots on her skirt. Think that Everything.

Pop it Up
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Stamp It Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is to pop it up. You can choose to use 3D Foam or a Pop Up element on your creation.
Pop It Up
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!
I made this side step card a couple of weeks ago hope I can remember what I used! So I made the side step card using this tutorial in white then it was time to decorate.
I knew I was going to use Lawn Fawn Shut the Front Door die but I need a brick wall for it to go on so I used the Tim Holtz Mixed Media 3, I cut it twice. There is a join above the door but the rest is hidden behind the door.
The stitched slopes and hills of snow are using the Simon says Stamp stamp dies of the same name. I needed a tree but most of my dies are retired and not available in SSS but the Tim Holtz Woodland trees are in stock at the moment and I cut it twice once in white and then in green. I place some tape behind the white tree and pieced the green in the spaces.
My Lawn Fawn Winter Fox was place on the door but the door could still open with him on it. My Lawn Fawn Winter Owl isn't quite to the fox's size but since I didn't have the dies and had gone through the trouble of cutting him with a border so I was going to use him anyway.
Just some finishing touches like the sentiment from Simon says Stamp Yuletide Greetings and some Simon says Stamp Stitched Snowflakes, their centres I used Nuvo Crystal Drops Silver Lining

The Crooked Photographer Returns
I can't believe how many times I've taken a photo of this card but this is the best straight one of a bad lot. I'm pretty certain it was a sketch but whose I don't know now.
First of all my dinosaurs are a Stamping Bella Stamp set and if your budget stretches that far there's dies too. I'm to much of a cheap skate to buy them rather buy another stamp set but there are times when I wish there was die. This time I carefully cut a white border round the dinosaurs.
The papers are Doodlebug At the Zoo papers, the squares are cut out using Simon says Stamp Stitched Squares and their Rectangles for the kraft background.
The number and letters are Newton's Nook Essential Alphabet cut out of som dotty Doodblebug paper that I knew would show up. Finally I stamped a white Happy Birthday from Simon says Stamp Messages for Everyday.

Mermaid
I finally got round to make a mermaid card with the Simon says Stamp September Card kit unfortunately its now sold out but you can buy Beautiful Mermaid stamp set separately and you can now buy the dies.
I noticed that I had coloured my mermaid more in the way of turquoise and the Oxide Stormy Sky wouldn't quite work with my colours so I opted on making a background with the Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Broken China. I particularly like white showing in my backgrounds and usually it's the last few swipes of the smooching technique I love best.
I had more or less used the Splitcoast Stampers Card sketch challenge SC713 but I added a bit of a fancy border using Simon says Stamp Scallop Stitches. I cut tiny strip of glitter card to give it a bit more an interest.
All the fishes, seahorse and seaweed are all stamps with the mermaid stamp set including the birthstone sentiment but the Happy Birthday is from Simon says Stamp Messages for Everybody. Fitted perfectly in the one of the Simon says Stamp Stitched Banners.
It's a card making day in my craft room although my crochet is calling to me my Persian Tiles are now done and I'm joining them together which is a bit like placing a jigsaw together, already I've had to unpick it couple of times.

Snowblowing
A few weeks ago I made this card where I had cut out a frame out of this snowflake paper and it left me with this pattern paper rather than waste I've used it for today's card.
I've used Mo's Season's Greeting image, it was the perfect fit inside my square. The one problem was it would only work well as a CAS card but it does mean another Christmas card done.
I used Simon says Stamp Maryann Snowflake die since its my favourite and the Stitched Snowflakes for the inside. I also used their Stitched Banners but the sentiment is LOTV old stamp.
I've just realised I haven't made my Birthday card list for this month need to get that sorted out and I'll add October Birthday since thats a busy month.

Simon says Stamp Stamptember Wednesday Challenge
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Anything Goes Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
Stamp On It
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!
I had enormous fun playing with my Stamptember stamps called Right Meow in all I made six cards. My first card today is probably my favourite, first of all I had to find some pattern paper and I went with Reverse Confetti Warm Heart since it was on my desk. I used it for background and to paper piece my cats jumper.
I had already decided I wanted to use Picture Book Sky Background and I cut it in white card to insert my clouds. I then used the Simon says Stamp Stitched Slopes and Hills die to cut out my grass, once done I carefully placed the sky background die so the clouds didn't touch my slopes. This meant I was able to add the right size grass to the sky background.
I place in white card so I could add that brilliant sentiment that came with the stamp set and then added some leaves using Simon says Stamp Mini Flowers and Leaves with my scraps of card.
My final card I used one of my Oxides backgrounds I think the inkpads Squeezed Lemonade and Cracked Pistachio, I then used the Simon says Stamp Wonky Rectangles die.
When I had I first saw this kitty I saw a heart shape which is why I placed him on the Simon says Stamps Small Heart Doily and for the knitting needles I used the Simon says Stamp Boat die trimming the mast to fit. Apologies for the bent tail but the kitties tails are really difficult to a border round definitely would help if you had the dies or buy the stamp and die set.
To finish I used some Doodlebug Limeade Twine and Simon says Stamp Get Well Soon die.

Stamptember
Let the huge Stamptember Party begin and I'm using some more cards with Right Meow, I love this kitty couple.
I lightly coloured the kittys and fussy cut with a border but there are dies available too. First of all I used the Wonky Rectangles to give my CAS finished look.
I then used the Clipping Heart die using the actual hearts and not the outline. I actually die cut it twice to layer my hearts to give a bit of definition on white card and I did this with the congrats die too.
It was then the case of using some foam squares for placing my kittys although I glued down their feet. Nearly forgot I used some glossy accents for the kitty's glasses and a uni-ball signo white pen for the pearls.
Apologies for the crooked photo I can assure it is a proper rectangle, first of all my kittys were made exactly as the pair above. This time though I used the sentiment from Congratulations stamp set and this is where a heart was left over that I used on yesterday's card using the Holiday Shapes dies. Mat and layered with matching pink card.
Unfortunately my craft money didn't stretch to the kitty dies but they definitely on my wish list those kittys tails were very tricky to fussy cut.
I have a little treat here just use the code below.
