Patriotic

Time for a new challenge on Simon Says Stamps Challenge

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

 and this week its
Patriotic

The team are also using My Favourite Things but thats not a requirement for the challenge just the DT chance to show what amazing products Simon Says Stamps have in their store.

There was only choice of stamp when I saw this weeks challenge and I know it really about the 4 July in the US but for us here in the UK means the Union Jack and that meant the Penny Black Miniful.
Now you probably know I love MFT dies but they also do the gorgeous Pure Innocence stamps too but I decided that Chevrons Stripes die was perfect for my road for my mini.
The papers I had decided to use were Doodlebug Stars and Stripes but I ended up just using one sheet for behind my flat bottom clouds from Simon Says Stamp Exclusive dies.
The only way I could make the clouds pop was to use a white background but they still seemed lost. Recently I saw on one of my favourite blogs had faux stitched round clouds so I hoped it would work on my flat bottom ones. Then the chervons looked odd so I did a bit of doodling on them too.
I'm still not happy and I want to faux stitch round the edge in hope to bring it together but another part of me says that it would be a faux stitch too much.
My sentiment is Penny Black too, getting to be a dab hand at using a stamp a ma jig.

Now you know the drill to win the chance of this fabulous prize you have to enter the challenge with a new card no backlinking and you need to enter your post using the linky thing on the challenge blog. Also you need to link to the challenge in your post or you won't be eligible for the prize.

She kept paging back and asking oh look...how does she do that! I read her posts of your posts but it was close to bedtime so we did not have time to leave comments.
So great card from me and Little Miss C says she loves the way the clouds are done and the fact that all those animals are in the car! teehee
