Less is more

Then I go and do something stupid and spoil it all. The Less is More challenge this week is to be inspired by the header on the blog.
I was rather pleased with the corner stamp which made my flourish. I used one of the smaller Romantic Rectangles dies and I cut the rectangle to fit. Which was then distressed with a couple of inkpads.
The sentiment is from an Hero Arts clear set.
Then it all went pear shaped, I wanted to to draw a square cos I didn't like it so plain and rather make a mess of that I decided to use a punch on the corners so it would hold thread round the card instead.
So like last week I wish I had left it alone.

  13. I love it. That swirl is fabulous. The sentiment plate is just right for the card and I would have wanted something to edge it too so I think it's another fab job done.

  35. I've done that before ... too many times to count actually. But even with the thread its a beautiful card. teh corner flourish works perfectly and I really like the layer on layer frame and sentiments.

It would be an easy save if you really don't like the threads. Trim the card down to the point of the cut-outs or cut down the front and layer it back onto a white base.

  37. I think that this card is perfect for the challenge. I often, like you have here, used this corner punch to add a frame of thread to a card. It works!
