I haven't done one of these lately and now my
Climbing Rose Wrap by Janie Crow is done, time to record it. I'm pleased with the colours and how it all worked out.
The colours of the Stylecraft Special Dk I used are Duck Egg for the main colour, Buttermilk, Cypress, Pistaschio, Pale Rose, Powder Pink and a bit of Cloud Blue. Janie Crow used double the colours but I decided to keep it as simple as I could.
If I ever did it again the puffy petals hexagon I would go down a size hook for the whole hexagon because the flower does puff up a bit when laying flat.
So my next project is the Eclectic Sweater from Cassie Ward, this will be the second time of making a garment the first one was frogged and at the time I vowed never again.
It will be interesting how it turns out, there was no way I was using 5mm on DK so I'm making the largest size. There was another problem the sweater is made to be quite short and with all my aches and pains I like a sweater to keep the whole of my back warm so I'm making it longer which is the easy part as long as I finish on the right rows.
Its been so hot lately I got my cross-stitch out I finished the outline on the above. What you can see is the marks that I'm going to need to get out.
And I started another but blow me I've got chocolate on it, where the hell did it find that so more stain removing to be done before I can finish. I just need to get a nice round and oval hoop to put them in and work out to finish off the back of the hoop.
Wow stunning pieces, love the first one.
