CAS(e) Poinsettia

When I saw the CAS(e) Sketch last week I immediately thought of snowflakes, I know this was pretty obviously but I still meant I would have at least another Christmas card done.

As you can see it didn't turn out that way, I chosen my pattern paper so the snowflakes would stand out and turned it over to put glue on the back. Saw the beautiful poinsettia paper and I couldn't bring myself to put glue on it.

So insteady I used the Simon says Stamps Poinsettia Parade and made some white poinsettia with silver base leaves to match the silver edging of the card. The fir leaves are made with their Christmas foliage.

I did cheat with the white bar for the sentiment by just cutting a strip, mat with silver and stamped with Christmas Tiny Words.

I actually love how this turned out and it would work out a fairly quick card.

  3. I can see why you wanted to use the poinsettia pattern as it is so pretty Debby and the three poinsettias over the top with just the sentiment strip to finish looks beautiful, and love the contrast of the white with the red pearls for the centres and the silver leaves and dark blue fir branches. x
