Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Make a Background
We are showcasing Tim Holtz this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the challenge Blog. You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!

I've learnt two things making my background, first I need more practice to use Tim Holtz Distress Resist Spray, definitely a bit heavy handed.

Second I actually had more fun and better results with Watercolour Cardstock obviously been a bit of cheapskate doesn't work. The background was made with the smooching technique with Oxides.

I used Tim Holtz Wildflowers stems 1 and you know I love making white flowers. My sentiment was made with Simon says Stamp Amazing stamps and using Tim Holtz Crochet Thinlets to edge the border.

Did I mention what fun I had that does mean I made more backgrounds so watch out for some more cards.

  2. This is very pretty and love the colour of that background Debby and then the crochet border and wild flowers and foliage all in white stands out so prettily over the top, and a great sentiment in a coordinating green too. x

  3. Beautiful card! Your background is just perfect to set off your pretty white flowers. I love that lacy die-cut at the bottom, too.
