Anniversary Wishes
I had a great time in Cornwall but came back with an infection and card making wasn't on top of my agenda and I forgot that yesterday my niece came for the day of making Wedding Stationery which was very successful.
So there is no Simon Says Stamp Card but this little experiment was in my drafts, I love the background stamp called Circle Doodle, I used WOW white embossing powder and then blended some colour on the card.
Using the large die from Bundle of Stitched Shapes to complete the background. The flowers are Simon say stamp Hydrangea Petal dies and the experiment was stamping a flower centre from the Friends of Life. It sort of worked.
The sentiment sentiment came from another Simon Says Stamp but I can't find which set. My craft room is in a pickle, I thought I lost a retired embossing folder that we have used on all my niece's wedding stationery and I pulled nearly out everything to find the safe place I put it in. Its all good I found it and now is on the bookshelf near the PC behind my DD photo. (I putting that on my blog, there a good case I will forget again)
The wishes is from Penny Black Best Wishes die but I only used the wishes with fun foam.

Wild Cuddly Critters
Hopefully I got this right but there are new release from Simon Says Stamp called Cherished.
I was very lucky to receive a die from the new release called Eyelet Arch Border, you get both sizes you can see on my card. Sorry can't link this post is schedule before the release but pop it in the search or follow the link from the main page of Simon Says Stamp Shop.
I've used the Simon Says Stamp Curved Edge not sure if the Arch is made for the curve or mine is a bit misshapen (probably caught awkwardly) but I think even mine looks OK.
I love the Wild Cuddly Critters from Simon Says Stamp and the Doodlebug At the Zoo is a match made in heaven what could be more apt than the giraffe paper for my card. A bit of twine which is also Doodlebug finished with some paw prints from Paper Smooches Dog Icons. Now I've used the circle die with the paw print inside but I've only used the paw print. I've copied the shop photo to show you what I mean.
The last few days we've been in Cornwall checking the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan so its going to be a day or two before I'll be feeling myself again.

Flower Girl
The light and my camera had really played with my colours on this card so please just imagine that they all work brilliantly together in real life.
I rarely use this adorable image from Mo called the Flower Girl 2 well at least I remember using her but I make a word file for each image and this file was missing, there's one now. The reason I make a file is that I check the size works for me and because I need several images for layering of that size. I of course keep the original and try to remember to back them on an external hard disk. Thanks Lou for reminding us in Belle and Bronte clubhouse on FB.
My oval frame is from MFT and so are the Upsy Daisy die. The papers I have no idea there was just a couple paper clipped together. I also made a slit in the dotty card to thread my ribbon through just for a change. I'm pretty centre I had a punch or something that did this but for the life of me have no idea what or where it is.

Bear Hugs
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the A Bit Of Sparkle Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is
Furry Friends
This week we are showcasing Paper Smooches Products. You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
I really wanted to use the cow Chubby Chums from Paper Smooches but they were out of stock so I went for my second idea to use the Chubby Chums Pals I just love the crab and its sentiment but not going to work for Furry Friends!
Why not some Bear Hugs from the Bear stamp instead and he worked a treat even stamped him a hat from the stamp set too.
It just so happens that I have some new Doodlebug paper arrive in the craftroom and you all know how I love their 6inch pattern card packs. This one is called At the Zoo but great male colours and very handy for stamp set that I used on last weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge card.
Yes I've used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles, I consider them a essential part of my craftroom and the Stitched Banners as well, apologies they are out of stock for the moment and I stronger suggest you use Notify when back in stock. I also consider the Holiday Shapes and Large Holiday Shapes a must have they have replaced all my star and heart little punches and dies are much easier on my hands as well as the space.
Do you use Instagram ? If so please add #ssswchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too.
You have until Wed 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in

Pink Baby
Mmm not sure I got the colours right here with the flowers and I used Lawn Fawn snowflakes for theirs centres. The papers are some old My Minds Eye that I'm trying to use.
The heart border is also from Lawn Fawn to make it you have to use two of their border dies that come in the set of three.
Of course my cute baby is from LOTV and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp along with their word die which I used fun foam to save me layering card.

Pool Fun
This is another seaside layout that uses the same Echo Park collection as last week and the two pages reside side by side in my Album.
Of course the cutie is of course my nephew on his hols in Spain. The title is cut from a Cricut and the ice cream and the sun are both from Simon Says Stamp but unfortunately the sun is now retired. The rest is from the actual paper collection.

Happy Anniversary
Its a midway reminder for Penny Black Saturday Challenge for Wedding or Anniversary card and this is mine. I've used Penny Black Efflorence and rather than colour I've just left white but I added some tiny beads in the centre to bring interest. Years ago you were able to buy Micro Beads but the company is no more so I've taken to use ones that are used for Nail Art and they are just the same.
The last swirl is a Penny Black one and I do like how I can cut it down and use random bits so it gives me a corner florish. The sentiment I'm afraid is not a Penny Black but a LOTV and its stamped much clearer than you can see here.
I decided on the Kraft card because I knew the white would look striking against it.

Crochet Update
We are going to spend a few days in Cornwall soon and I want to be making square on the journey but I have completed all my other ones so I've had to put them to one side and work out the colours of my next lot of afghan square.
This one is called Sunrise Beach from Jen Tyler and its free. I found it very complicated and there are a least two rows that I couldn't for the life of me work out the pattern but muddle through and I may be doing it wrong!
The wool is Stylecraft Special DK and I'm going to make a blue square as well which is why there is a bit of blue on the yellow one which is bugging me at the moment but hopefully will work out once I used Pink on the Blue.
I just like to say that the white borders that I seeing on my PC is actually cream and hoping to get a more cottage garden feel colours.

King for the Day
Ok I've had enough of mens card, I pretty certain I still have some to make but they will have to take a back seat, trying to work out embellisments is making my brain hurt.
I haven't used Mo's King for the Day for ages, love paper piecing the chair. I used the Stitched curve from MFT and the stars are a combination of MFT and Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Shapes. The papers are My Minds Eye and the sentiment is the one on my desk that lives there permanently.

Trio of Penquins
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
This week the challenge is
A Bit Of Sparkle
This week we are showcasing our very own exclusive Simon Says Stamp Products. You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Aaaaagh the camera lies my Spun Sugar Distress Glitter isn't that orange and apologies for the wonky hand slopes of Stickles Frosted Lace.
Anyway look whats in the house Wild Cuddly Critters which was sold out the first time round, yes you may be seeing a lot more of the Penquin the nearer we get to Christmas.
I decided that three was better than one and how about a shaker card using Falling Snow from Lucy.
I used the Slopes and Hills from Simon Says Stamp along with the Stitched Squares.
The Alexis snowflake and the Christmas Toys for my sentiment are both Simon Says Stamp along with Stitched Banner that my sentiment is in.
Almost forgot the papers are MFT Merry and Bright and I used the Stitched Wavy Scallops again from Simon Says Stamp.

Wedding Sketch
I had to make my card in a real hurry, having to get it photo and load it to the Everybody Art challenge last night. I was also a bit lost on what to do with this weeks challenge sketch and wasn't as keen with the papers although I love the Tiddlywinks couple.
In the end I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares and Rectangles, also their Bundle of Shapes which has a stitched strip to make the long rectangle.
The Scallop Square is from MFT and Hearts are Penny Black. I've used glitter card to match in the glitter on pattern paper which are some old ones.
Now that the silicone is dry I can now glitter the bride dress which I couldn't do yesterday.
Another rush to make another challenge card today.

Bucket and Spade
Can't believe how much this little chap has changed and that he goes to school in September. The photos are ones my sister has, every now and then I download them so I can scrap them too.
This layout was made at the March retreat and I've since forgotten the papers although it looks like I use the wave sheet and cut it down added some Simonsays Stamp boat die and Taylored Expression sand castles dies.
A sticker ticket strip and small blue word most have come from scrapbooking collection but the letters I think could be Simply Create possibly brought from Scrap Cafe or Hobbycraft.
I was hoping for at least three layouts made yesterday but ended up with one that looks like one I have already done and one almost done but left the small red pearls I needed at home.

Purrfect Day
One of the things I did this week is to colour some images including this cute chap from a clear set which also had the purrfect sentiment.
Yes the pattern paper is Doodlebug and I love the colourful dotty page which I used the Simon says Stamp Bundle of Shapes for the large stitched rectangle, also their Stitched Circles for my image mat but used a Nestabilities die for coloured mat underneath.
The flowers and swirl are both from MFT and to finish a bit of ribbon and a flat bow, fingers crossed it will fit normal post.
Off to the Scrap Cafe Bracknell crop for a bit scrapbooking, I'm on Christmas 2014 so all my favourite Christmas dies coming along too.

Crochet Update
Here are all the colours for my Baby Blanket, I'm actually bored with the pattern now it is quite easy to do. I still need 10 squares and it will be time to joining them. With a trip away soon and a long drive I've already planned my next blanket Sunshine Beach Square from Jen Tyler.
Colours have been decided and I'm awaiting an order from Wool Warehouse with some of the colours I don't have of Stylecraft Special DK and I added the new ones that I couldn't get when they were first realised.

Big Guy Golfer
I'm still struggling on with my men cards and with time, so a CAS with Mo's image of Big Guy Golfing is the answer for the moment.
The sketch was this weeks Mojo Monday when I realised that the fish tail banners are suppose to under the patterned paper mat. There was me thinking I could enter a challenge before it ran out.
The letters are a Memory Box alphabet die set and the stamped you is an old Simon Says Stamp not sure if its still available. I also used Simon Says stamp Stitched Rectangle give a simple card some interest round the large main image mat.
I'll like say I'm done with men cards but I think I still have a few more to do, plus this year is all about Wedding and Babies. There is a even more important card I must do, A New Home. Finally my DD has exchanged contracts, although will still have her under our roof, while she and her Dad decorate and I'll supervise.

Bella Balloons
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Hint Of Pink Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is
Going Dotty
This week we are showcasing Stamping Bella Products. You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
I love Stamping Bella stamps and I had quite a few to choose from in the end I decided on Tiny Townie Blossom love Balloons nearly forgot the challenge was to go dotty but I found some in the Doodlebug Cream and Sugar pad. Apologies since checking the shop this pad as now sold out but has you can see with my card I've only used one dotty page and most Doodlebug papers have a least one dotty page so you can colour accordingly.
I went for a panel and added strips of colour and using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Scallops die added them down the side of the panel to add interest. I only wish I had decided to use the Memory Box Stitched clouds ( can't find these now in the shop but this is the link to clouds die) before adding the scallop and would have show the stitching.
Finally I added some Memory Box Flying Gulls using scraps of black card given even more impression she flying high up in the sky.

Quick Mens Card
Blasted mens card it seems I'm always making them and we all know how easy they are NOT. I saw a card on Pinterest and this is my version of it.
I used the Simon says Stamp Stitched Scallop Borders for both my bits of Doodlebug paper. Stamped the sentiment directly to the card where I thought it should go. Trim the card a bit smaller than the card to give my card a white edge.
I think the stars are from MFT and Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Shapes star die. It was a quick card and easy to do

Scrapbooking
It was NSD yesterday but most scrapbookers are making a weekend of it, not me I had cards to make. But I thought I ought to add a Scrapbooking page or two this weekend and I do have some in my drafts but decided as these two go together, two was better than one.
The papers are Echo Park possibly a couple of years old and the Best Day Ever title is from Simon Says Stamp and no doubt will become a well used die. Snowflakes Simon Says Stamp dies too.
This was a tricky page because I wanted to show the outside pics as well as the ones we took in Ice House and to get a balance was the tricky bit. Then I had to stop adding bits before it became too much.

Good Luck
Ahhh the crooked photographer can never understand why my cards are crooked according to grid on my camera its staight but when I download it the blasted card is crooked.
Never mind I'm pretty sure you can work out how cute my little Dixie is from Mo Manning. I could of paper pieced her the dress, scarf and hat are an ideal size for doing so, maybe next time.
Yes my papers are Doodlebug including the Memory Box flowers and my favourite leaves from Memory Box too. The Good Luck is from Impression Obession I think and cut a few times to layer so it really stands out.
There's a new Anything Goes Challenge on DP2, it will be great if you can join us this month.

Triple Frame
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
We will be back soon with the lucky winners of the $50 Vouchers
This week the challenge is
A Hint Of Pink
This week we are showcasing Hero Arts Products . You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
I brought some new pink mini inks for this challenge from Hero Arts called Flower Petal Bold so in theory I could use any stamp and use the inks but in the end I may have overdosed on Hero Arts.
So first stamping with three of the mini inks I stamped the Hero Arts Leafy Vines and I decided to use the Simon Say Stamp Stitched Rectangles which allows me to triple layer without the halo you get if you cut and layered and then stamp. I added a bit of plain card behind each layer to high light each layer.
My flower is another Hero Arts stamp called Antique Rose Stem but I discarded the buds and stem.
At this point I had already worked out my card was looking busy but I need something to stand out so I decided to use the Hero Arts Handmade Tags.
Finally I used Simon Says Stamp Sending and Wishing sentiments stamp set and I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Banners because I could fit it all in the stamp sentiment frame.
Do you use Instagram ? If so please add #ssswchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too.
You have until Wed 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in

Use a Photograph
The new challenge on Everybody Art Challenge is to us a Photograph, well that is so out of my comfort zone.
I have realised I use a photographs for scrapbooking so why didn't I use a layout I had already done doh. But no my poor brain could only think I needed a card for a challenge!!!
First I thought a Vintage photo but then my brain started to stir and remembered the adorable photo my niece let me have of my nephew isn't it soooo cute and its not obvious who he is but I know.
I printed on matt card and I attempted to use a frame stencil which didn't work, I did cut out a circle to over the image which gives a bit of halo effect. At the time of making the card I was a bit unwell, the antibiotics as now sorted that out which is why my creativity mojo was seriously missing.
So I cut out several Lawn Fawn snowflakes in fun foam and a bit of red and added pearls to complete them. Then it was a case how many can I add to my card.
I found the layout I made using the same the photograph.

Delmelza update
Here's my Demelza blanket finished, the extra little green squares worked but I could of made more rows the same colour for main middle square it looks a bit stripy. If there's a second one I will do so.
I used Stylecraft special double knitting, love their range of colours. I'm now on a baby's blanket with pastel colours and the Faded Love granny square which is a paid pattern.
