Patches
So a bit of an update with what I've been hooking! First is Patches he is a pattern out of the Love Crochet magazine issue 10 by Liz Ward with a few additions, the patches and rather than stick on his nose and paws I cut out some hearts and blanket stitched them on. I not that good at blanket stitch but I guess practice makes perfect.
I have made him before, you can find previous make here.
When I'm not making toys and supposedly to crochet while watching telly I've decide on this granny square, it will be fine when I've made it a few times and stop unpicking it!!!!
Its called Blizzard and you can find the link to the pattern here. I've recently brought this to attempt blocking I have feeling this square would benefit from it. Now all I need is find some wooden clothes pegs to help me choose colours.

Oh how adorable is he! I have to admit I'm not usually a huge fan of crocheted items, but I'm making a huge exception for this adorable fella. LOVE him. x
ReplyDeleteI love your little pup! The hearts are perfect! I'm not good at crocheting animals; always want to, though. The square is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour crochet creations are adorable. That snowflake square is so different. I bet it would look nice made from yarn with a bit of sparkle in it too. You've made me interested in learning how to crochet!
ReplyDeleteWow Debby both of your creations are gorgeous I love them both. The little doggy is so cute. Take care. Hugs Jackie

ReplyDeleteHe is adorable Debby and I love the additional heart nose. The blocking board looks like a very useful piece of equipment xx

I love your dog and this first square using this snowflake type design is beautiful and will be wonderful when you have finished it I'm sure Debby. This looks quite intricate, but as you say the more you do the easier it gets. I think that blocking tool looks as though it will do a grand job of keeping the squares uniform too. x
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable, love him

Awww your little dog is so cute, love those little stitched hearts!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous square too! My Mum can knit and watch telly too, but it's beyond me I'm afraid, I'd spend my entire time ripping ;)
FAB crochet Debby. What a cute little dog and I love that you put your own little touches on him. He is adorable. Haven't crocheted anything for years, but I used to love doing it. This is just the sort of cute pattern that makes me want to get my hooks out again!

Looking at Patches, I just want to give him a squeeze. He looks so soft and cuddly. Gorgeous crocheted square, too!
