For Keith

I had to make a mans card and I was inspired by friend Nikki who loves inky stuff, I'm never happy when I go inky but this card didn't turn out too bad.

First I used the world map from Stampin Up, added a bit of colour to land and sea, also added a couple of small coffee stains and as you can see I torn round the edges so I could ink round.

I them made my life saver using  a wood grain stain again from stamping up but I also cut out a frame with plain card too, cut out a top and bottom and stuck on the woodgrain frame then added string.

I think the boat came from Open Sea stamps from Stamping Up, the birds are Simon Says Stamp Cloud Skies

Now was the time to put it together with the map, decided to add a bit of a colour border trying to tear match didn't work quite as well as I like but I think I got away with it. I used the woodgrain stamp again for the main front of the card for my map and main image to be stuck to.

Added more string for a border and cut out a memory box anchor attached it to the life saver, LOTV sentiment with stampin up punches and a reasonable mans card done.

Now they card has reached its destination and past my BIL birthday I can now press the publish button.

  5. Wow Debby I really love this, you did inky so well, my kind of inky, not messy inky. The colours and distressing are fabulous. So glad you started reading Elly Griffiths books. Her new serues set in Brighton is a winner too, The zigzag girl.

    1. I have a couple of friends who sell it, but if you go to their website make sure you put in the right country it will search for your nearest one. Sometimes that person does classes, which great to get tips but does make you want more.

  20. The perfect event starts with an extraordinary event venue. Whether you are dreaming of a grand entrance on a mountaintop vineyard estate, or an intimate gathering of family and friends at a seaside villa, good managers, like those at this place are able to turn that dream into an extraordinary wedding.
